{FAITH}:
Tumblr media
small hands clutched on to the cross hanging around her neck, soft whispers of prayers dripping from her full plump lips. however, upon the H E A V E N L Y sound of footsteps, faith couldn’t help but glance up quickly - gentle eyes narrowing slightly. she’d been sitting there quietly praying for help ever since she woke up two hours ago… and now - ❝ hello ?? i - i reckon there’s been a misunderstanding - they… they must’ve confused me with someone else… please i must get back to my sisters - mum and dad will have a whole farm once they hear i’ve gone. ❞ gentle voice was pleading as her small hands released the cross, reaching towards the metal bars gently.
Tumblr media
The way things had ended up, with him back in the place of power, since the slaves had broken out, Sidian strolled the cells with more confidence and power about him then he had before. Public punishments along with his own personal touches to those whom he decided needed the special attention had made the witch far more giddy than he might have admitted. There was a pleasantry to his step, a lighter tone to his humming as he made his way down into the cells to survey the newest members to the island. His energy was more than that of a child in a candy store, it was more like he had gotten all the candy and then burned down the store with the owners inside.
Sidian hummed as he moved past a guard, nodding in acknowledgement before he’d reached a cell that was holding the first of the newest slaves. Upon being heard the young woman had called out in a meek tone, like a frightened lamb coming towards the fox who waltzed into the herd. The slave breakers brows arched, hands loose in his pockets as if he’d simply been on a pleasant stroll. “Oh?” Sidian cooed almost as his lips twitched upwards in a pleased smile yet twisted smirk. “Mistakes are not often made here, my dear.”
With a casual motion Sidian pulled his left hand from his pocket to gesture to those in the cell next to the precious little lamb. If there was one thing Sidian enjoyed more than hurting people, breaking into their very soul, it was DESTROYING the hope they all clung to more than life itself.

{BAILEY}:
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, shit. Bailey resisted the urge to kick the ground in frustration as she slunk behind the dock locker where she was taking cover. They were so close. Usually one man wouldn’t dismay her so much, but she knew from the way the snake-like way the plants moved along this man that he was a witch, and therefore unpredictable.
Her eyes were glued on her hands as she dug the pistol out of her pocket and carefully placed her hands in a firing position. Throughout her years on the force, she had consistently rated among the best shooters in Brooklyn. A few hours ago, she wouldn’t have doubted her ability to strike that witch in the head and have him dead before his body hit the ground. But now she couldn’t feel anything. She had to watch her hands carefully to make sure they didn’t slip and push the trigger. She had to focus like a laser just to load the damn thing without dropping bullets. She struggled to get into a kneeling position and placed the muzzle of the gun against the dock locker, shifting until she felt she had a good shot. She wasn’t aiming for the guy. She was aiming for his plant. She didn’t know what that thing did, but she could only imagine its horrors, and taking it out of the picture first was the best plan she had.
One eye on the gun, one eye on her target, she squeezed the trigger and watched the bullet head for the plant. She didn’t wait to see if it would hit, she fired again and again, hoping to rip the thing to shreds before its owner even realized what was happening.
Tumblr media
Sidian wasn’t sure where the guns had come from but the second he heard one fire a whirl of magic burst around him like a shield, the plant which had been slithering up his arms turning black into the true form of his familiar, lacing around his neck. Unfortunately his shield was not fast enough to stop the first bullet and it pierced through his shoulder, sending him swaying to the side with the blow. Crimson stained the front of his suit jacket as it spread through the cloth. With a steady hand Sidian touched the spot and pulled it back to look at the blood as the gun continued to fire, so they were frightened of him, or else they wouldn’t have been firing off more than one round-- Mentally he searched his files and figured it could only be one person, unless it was the head of security then there really would be hell to pay.
A small growl, more irritation than anything else, left Sidian’s lips as he glanced up from his hand to where the gun had been fired. His shield having stopped the other bullets, they were smart to try and take out his familiar, unfortunately failing to do so would only mean more pain for the culprit.
“You’ve made a very bad decision!” Sidian called out, body radiating with dark purpose and power. The sky darkened with this change and clouds rolled in as the wind picked up as well. There was a small explosion of glass from the front of his shop as the vines from his prize plant poured out, large and deadly as they came to their Master’s calling. “Come out now or I’ll drag you out by your throat.” He barked, ordered even, it would be a battle for blood.

{JOLENE}:
Tumblr media
As soon as the name left Austin’s lips they knew that they were in deep shit. Jolene didn’t even want to leave the cells, knowing that their punishment would be even worse if they were discovered trying to escape. But Austin… They grew fond over him and he was persistent. No matter how much they tried to talk him out of trying to escape, they couldn’t win- Which is saying something, since the siren is pretty stubborn.
Now, being face-to-face with Sidian, they knew that they were right. All of the sudden, the younger slave was no longer next to the blonde. They heard his cries and being hit against buildings until finally, silence. Jolene had been turning in every direction, worry and fear spreading through out their entire being.
“Austin? Austin?!” They turned to the voice of the dark witch, anger mixing in with the fear and worry. “Leave him alone! If you’re going to hurt someone, hurt me. I’ve been here longer than he has; I’ve been alive longer than him. I can take whatever punishment you’ll give me. Just leave the boy alone, Sidian.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, certainly--” With a twist of his hand the plants began to climb their way up the slaves legs to eventually encompass them in greenery. The witch sighed, bringing forward the other slave that was now unconscious thanks to his fast acting friends. “You should have stayed in the cells little siren, did you really think you’d return to the ocean?” He could smell the salt on them, it was a quality that never left the sirens and really they were the only other species that Sidian thought were worthy of his company. Mainly because they too had strong magic qualities to them.
His head tilted as he looked them over as the vines moved up their body, there were plenty of things he could do to both of the slaves he’d now caught-- the real question was whether or not he had time to practice them, a small disappointed huff left his lips, there were others to catch but he couldn’t pass up this chance.

{VIOLET}:
Violet had long since lost feeling in her arms, bound and hung above her head. Her legs were similarly useless, her feet unable to hold up her weight as she swayed gently in place, kept upright only by the rope around her wrists. The lashes were over with, at least. They had to be. Ten lashes, and then another ten when she’d regained consciousness. It had to be over now, there was no room left on her bloodied, bare back for any more.
And she deserved it. God, she deserved every bit of it. The past played on a loop in her mind; the guards dragging her limp body across the island, Kaleb and the docks and the boat and the fight, the spell that had taken away her hearing, and Bailey. Especially Bailey. Bailey’s fangs piercing her skin day after day, the blood draining from her veins, leaving her weak, leaving her useless. And what had it earned her? A failed escape attempt, and the punishment of every single slave on her shoulders?
She wasn’t sure how long she’d been left alone. A few hours, maybe. The blood down her back was no longer hot, but her face still throbbed. She could not see the shallow cuts she’d earned while running through the forest, nor the inky bruise that spread beneath her eye, but she could feel them, could feel her blood thumping under every inch of it. The rush of her pulse was so deafening in her ears that she almost didn’t hear the footsteps approaching her.
“Please,” she whimpered. Her hearing had long since been returned to her, but her screams had nearly deafened her again, and had torn her throat raw. She tried to swallow back the taste of blood that blanketed her tongue, but could not find the strength. Her voice was shredded, weak. Every word was a battle to get out, and she could barely lift her head from where it hung between her shoulders. “I’m sorry, I… I won’t… I’m sorry, please, I can be good…”
Tumblr media
The witch couldn’t help the amused and dark chuckle that shook his shoulders lightly as he moved around to better view the slave. So this had been one of the main culprits, how pathetic she looked now-- begging for all of this to stop, he might not have been the one to give the lashings that adorned her battered skin but he certainly leave his mark. Unfortunately for her, his markings weren’t of the physical kind, not unless he favored the slave and this one he did not favor at all. There really was only one slave so far that had held in interest and favor longer than an hour, but that was of his own business.
As he drew closer the witch unbuttoned his suit jacket, shrugging it from his shoulders and placing it over a single chair that looked worn and used, probably for other forms of torture. Shifting his stance Sidian looked the blonde over better, whoever gave her lashings did a sloppy job of it, they had left her bleeding and strung up. With an indifferent huff Sidian rolled the sleeves up on his shirt and moved to stand in front of the slave.
“Your begging doesn’t change what you’ve done---” He started, pushing his hair out of his face before he smirked at the young woman. Human, they were his favorites to fuck with, their minds were far easier to manipulate with spells than it was anyone else. ‘Though it did not stop him from practicing them on practically everyone. “You might as well save it, I don’t believe a word you’re saying-- if you could be good then you wouldn’t have started all this mess.” A smirk pressed at his lips but he pushed it down to a more serious look. “You don't truly know pain or regret, love.”

{KORA}:
Kora had no idea what was going on. First she had been on her free hour - tucking herself away in the dense trees of the slave yard for her 60 minutes of freedom. But then something felt wrong. Her vision began to blur - slowly, making her wonder if this was another affect of wolfsbane or something worse. Something all too permanent. It wasn’t long until the young wolf was blind completely as she stumbled her way through the foliage in a near panic. She couldn’t focus - too scared, her sense running a muck as the sound of sirens rang loudly in her ears. The sound made her flinch and for once a real sort of fear settled in her gut. She felt helpless, settled into a darkness she had no control over and no way out.
But the first rational thought that came to her mind soothed her for the briefest moment while disgusting her at the same time. Sidian. Kora liked to think she loathed him - after all, she was convinced he was the very reason she was on this island. His presence there was too coincidental for her not to form conspiracy theories. And he seemingly lived to torment her. However, he was a witch - a powerful one, she could give him that much. And he was…familiar. And now, trapped in her head - she needed that familiarity. So after a moments pause to ground herself, Kora took a deep breath as she focused on her other heightened senses while chaos sounded around her. She hadn’t realized it, but she’d already begone to move as she went in search for the shop in which he owned. She, unfortunately knew the smell of the green witch and his earthly powers anywhere.
She was in disarray once she’d found her way into the town - streets she knew by smell, but kept herself to the back allies. She’d fallen twice, tripping over objects in her path. Blindness made her clumsy, scared - but determined. And when someone had grabbed her, the shewolf fought back with claws and teeth and every bit of strength she had in her. She didn’t want to go back to the cells like this - not with a guard or an unknown resident. She was putting a lot of faith into this - but Sidian would help her, she had to believe this. Even if it came at a steep price.
Kora knew she was close when she could smell soil and the exotic scent of foreign flowers. Many she herself was familiar with after years of studying their uses. One didn’t need to be a witch to know how to use them. Maybe she could heal herself if he’d just give her the proper tools. Her hand stayed flat against the brick wall at her side as she walked, using it as a guide as these smells lead her forward. She was close to the docks, could hear the ocean, feel it in the air around her, as well as the feel of Sidian’s power sparking around her. Maybe this had been the worst decision she would ever make, but it wasn’t like she could turn back now.
Tumblr media
There was a slight hint of familiarity that struck a flame within Sidian’s mind, then again, he knew most of the slaves that were in the cells. Those that were claimed were not as well known to him but he doubted they would have been making an attempt at getting to the docks as he assumed the others would be attempting. His beloved plants moved around him at his will, doing so from the back and front of his shop as well, however, he would be the first thing that anyone saw before he made his plants over take them. It wasn’t that he couldn’t handle anyone directly with his magic, this was simply more fun than he was willing to admit. As the figure drew closer the familiarity that once made him perk a brow now made his smile broaden in absolute amusement.
He soon was moving closer to her as well, a low chuckle leaving his lips as he finally came within a few paces of the she-wolf. “Ahhh, what a good girl, come to find me in this moment of disarray... I’m almost proud.” He cooed, tone very much genuine, she must have fought her way here he was sure. At least at some point, but otherwise she did not look harmed.
With a tilt of his head Sidian inspected her better, dark hues calculating and almost worried that someone had gotten to her before he could again. There wasn’t a soul he wanted punishing Kora but himself, there was a selfish motive hidden behind his cruel acts, a selfish one that was more intimate than he would ever be willing to admit. This was the closest to affection as he would ever get. The plant which grew on his also burst forth from the cracks and quickly made their way up the she-wolfs legs to hold her in place as he moved around to circle her. Coming back around to face her Sidian huffed out a small and almost satisfied sigh, hand moving from his pocket to let his fingers graze against her chin lightly.
Just as slow and sudden as the act had been did Sidian drop his hand away, letting the vines retreat from her form. There was, of course, only one other reason she could have been in this area-- the docks, perhaps he was not as deep into her mind as she was in his. This, naturally, was a problem and it caused his brow to crease just a little. “Unless, of course--- you were trying to make a break for it. In which case, I would be very disappointed in you my sweet. Say it isn’t so--” His voice pleaded in a mocking way, not really meant to make her feel mocked, but definitely an attempt to hide the real plea within his statement. He wanted her to have sought him out instead of simply been trying to make a break for it.

{JOLENE}:
Tumblr media
“We shouldn’t be out here,” Jolene whispered, leaning against the slave who was their “eyes”. The slave that was helping the siren had lost his sense of touch, so he was the best choice to help get them out of there. But the blonde knew that this was a bad idea. The guards are going to catch them all, and there was no doubt in their mind that the masters and civilians were helping them.
“Austin, let’s just go back. Please. I would never forgive myself if something happened to you!” they pleaded, just wanting to get back in their cell. Being out here in the open was scary, especially with them being blind. Austin whispered to the siren, whom he thought of as a mother figure in this Hell hole, “We’re getting closer to the docks. It’s gonna be okay, Jo-…” The young man’s voice faltered, finally seeing Sidian.
Jolene began to worry as she whispered to him, “What is it? What’s wrong?” Austin starred at the witch, ready to protect the siren as much as he possibly could as he said aloud, “Sidian.”
Tumblr media
The vine moved more around the witch as if it were a part of him and that wasn’t far from the truth, his sadistic smile pressed further upon his lips as he was recognized by the two slaves which had journeyed this far. Sidian took a few steps closer to them, circling a bit to the side like a true predator. The slave breaker was often in the cells so he recognized them both, not to mention he had a file on each of them. How wonderful it would be to add more notes the to growing files.
Hands slipping easily into his pockets the witch dropped his gaze as he drew closer, still in the middle of the street and keeping his distance but now having moved into better ear shot. “I must admit that I am quite impressed you two have made it thus far.” He exclaimed to them, dark eyes finding the pattern in the bricks of the road more interesting than the two slaves.
In the blink of an eye the male was snatched up by thick, dark, and wild vines. Pulling the aid away from the lovely blonde which seemed very dependent on the other slaves. The cries of the male slave reverberated against the walls of the buildings and made it seem as if they were coming from every direction as he was silenced by a vine covering his mouth and having passed out. Sidian had successfully singled out the weakest link. “Unfortunately, your efforts end here.”

Every Friday Sidian made his way to his shop, nodding to his employees if they had earned it that week, counting out the money and storing it in the safe, taking the weeks inventory. Most managers, or even owners of any business’s had a person who did all that for them. But Sidian was not like most, he always held a sense of mystery and power, the only two things he really ever wanted to be showing. He trusted no one on this island, the only purpose he had there was his job, of course the source of money flow he had going was not at all how he expected it to be when he first arrived, or even when he accepted the invitation. It had been in a fancy envelope, drenched in fragrance and the energy of another witch, at the time Sidian hadn’t thought much of it, thinking that perhaps it had been a secretary of some sort-- but now that he had gotten closer to the source he knew that had not been the case. Still, it didn’t matter, is books matched up and the employees for the day had long since sent back to their cells or owners.
The Witch was sitting comfortably in the back room where his prized plants were, the ones he’d had since he was little, his mothers plants. Newspaper in hand while a hot pot of tea sat next to him on the small table he had next to the station where all his potions and herbs were worked on. The place served as a ‘lab’ away from home, it was also a place he made, the plants reacting to him as if they only came alive when he was around. That was very much the truth, his signature in magic was what made the vines grow over to him as he sipped at his tea, the elegant plants sliding around his arms as if it were an affectionate pet.
A siren, not the kind that occupied the island, but the ones used to alarm to hurricanes and other tragic calamities of the sea, the sound broke him from his thoughts and concentration on the century old newspaper. His dark gaze flicked up and he glanced up as if he could see past the plants and shrubbery that blocked his view to the outside street. Then he knew, in a flash of magic connection, one with the head of his manor, and Sidian knew why there was an annoying alarm surging out a warning. With a sigh the Witch moved to placed his tea down, the plant retreating back from being wrapped around his arm. With a fluid motion Sidian stood, straightened his jacket and moved from the back room, shutting and locking the door before he moved further into the shop, disappearing into the forest of plants until he came out on the other side of the shops front door.
Dark eyes scanned the street before it made a turn towards the docks which his shop was close to, if any slaves actually made it this far they could be stopped by him. Just as the thought swept through his mind the sound of feet coming down the street drew his attention back. From this distance he couldn’t tell if it was a slave or not, so he shifted as he locked the door and moved away from the shop-- pocketing his keys before he narrowed his gaze, going a little was out in the street before he was in the middle. A smirk played at his lips, oh how he hoped it was a slave, already the plant he had swept away with him was growing, curling around his arm before it stretched across behind his back to lace around the other then moved on to his torso. This was a perfect start of the weekend.

Sidian didn’t often pick favorites, there were, of course, those he liked to antagonize more than others and today he decided he would spend most of it picking on the one he got the most out of--- Kora. They had a history, a mild one, but it was enough to fuel his motives in pestering her. There was more to the enjoyment, nothing he would admit to naturally, but it was still there and perhaps to a practiced eye it was obvious in the manner which he carried himself down the stairs from the Witch manor, expensive and shined shoes clacking against the stone as he made his stride seem casual, but they were more than that. Determined were his steps, this man had a purpose.
As he drew closer, Sidian removed his hands from his pockets, one running against the bars as he passed the first cell before the one which Kora resided in. He’d be lying if he said he was not excited, it was always a thrill to see how the she-wolf would address him each time he visited, especially with the other feisty one within her cell--- the two practically fed off of one another rebellious natures.
His dark gaze flicked over the other occupants of the cell before they found the one he was there for, a brow arched as he scanned her, smirk almost faltering but not going away completely. “My dear, how are you--- you seem, a bit off.” The observation was not off, but as his gaze grew more analytical Sidian’s demeanor changed as well. Stiffer, almost put off by her appearance, someone else had gotten to her--- done her harm and for a deeper reason than he was willing to face at the moment. But his brow did crease with his disapproval.

{ANGEL}:
“I just want them to keep and care for, nothing too extreme. I’m gonna buy a lot.” they assured that their time in there was going to be well spent, Angel was a hoarder of plants but they took care of them all greatly. “Also please drop the customer service, I’m a master like you, you don’t have to deal with me.” they smirked as they looked around, “So tell me about the succulents and do they come in black?”
Tumblr media
Simple, to the point, Sidian could appreciate a straightforward person, regardless of rank. He was so much more than just a Master, there was always more to Sidian than met the eye but he did not need to explain himself to this fellow Master. A nod, subtle perhaps, but obvious in his agreement to his little act of attempted professionalism, ‘though he was professional, it was more difficult when he was annoyed. “I would recommend a Oxalis triangularis, it is a dark purple, but I’m sure, if you wish to have it black, I can put a spell on it to make the coloration to your liking. Otherwise, I’m afraid, the plant would have to be bred to hold such a quality. Epiphyllum oxypetalum is a very gorgeous plant, ‘though, it is white naturally-- again, the same concept applies to this plant as the previous one I suggested--- If you’d follow me, I can show you where they are kept and we can find you the proper fit.”

{CHARLOTTE}:
Charlotte looked over her shoulder as she heard a voice coming from behind her. The tone of it neutral but with a touch of darkness. If she hadn’t sensed it in the air, she could have told it from the grin upon his features. “Theatrical, easily excited and with just the right amount of cuteness. That would be me” the raven-haired girl replied as she turned on her heals. Making her way over to the bars again in a cat-like fashion. Slow, yet graceful. “So you prefer the whiny ones with their teary eyes an naggy voices? I can see you’re the dark, broody guy. All bad, moody and scary, but I would have expected a little better taste from you.” the human tilted her head a little to the side as he hands wrapped around the bars. A hint of a smile upon her lips. “With a lack of happiness nobody ever will ever stop being the boring beings they are. Be mad, try it. Promise you life will be so much more fun.”
Tumblr media
“Hmmm, how quaint.” Sidian hummed, gaze flicking around the cell as if he’d be able to tell anything about her from the manner in which the cell was kept. They all were the same, the cells, but also the slaves in the aspect that he didn’t particularly care for any of them aside for making them suffer. He was cruel, unfeeling and sadistic, these people were there for his entertainment-- and of course, his job. To say Sidian enjoyed it would be an understatement, he was a businessman, a noble in his own right and among those who knew his name. “Not at all, I have only one preference really, challenge.” Sidian waved off her statement with the smallest of chuckles, amused over her invitation to be mad. “Darling, you don’t want to see me mad. Bad things happen. What’s your name?”

{ALICE}:
Alice was on edge, she was seething and refusing to believe that this was somehow how her life was meant to go. Her grip on the pesky guards neck tightened and as he struggled to breathe a predatory smirk formed on her lips. “I’m not a slave.” She growled in the general direction of the voice. “Now you my sweet little breathless waste of space guard are going to let me out and tell this horrible gentleman that this woman doesn’t need a useless man in her life.” She whispered into the guards ear.
Tumblr media
A laugh, abrupt and bitter left Sidian’s lips, it was more so out of excitement than anything else. Death always made him feel elated. His energy bubbled in anticipation, would he let her snap the guards neck? Why of course, he wasn’t under his station and therefore would not gain Sidian’s punishment, the witch was perfectly aware of the head of the guards ability to punish not only the slaves but his guards as well. His hands threaded together, patience painted on his face in the most annoying of manners, now standing directly in front of the cell and the situation that had occurred.
“Speak to me directly if you wish to address me, it is impolite to be so indirect.” Sidian corrected, dark gaze scanning her then the guard, smile not fading at all. The dark witch was excited, pleased that someone had finally dared to pose as a challenge that he would soon make an example of. “Go on, do as she said, she won’t be so lucky to get past me unharmed.”

{GEORGIA}:
Tumblr media
“Would that be what happened?” Georgia spoke lowly, avoiding the occasional tremor that had crept into her voice lately. “Is talking the same as attacking someone now?” She held back all traces of sass that her words held on better days, turning the question into a more serious one. “’m not going back there.”
Tumblr media
“Mmm, perhaps, if I saw it fit--- of course.” Sidian waved a hand, dismissing the whole thing as if he had no interest in it anymore. But that didn’t stop the smirk to press at his lips, playful and daunting at the same time. “Certainly, if the wrong thing was said.” His gaze narrowed, her discomfort with the hole she had been stuck prior was evident and that thrilled him. “Then I suggest you behave, slave.”

{BAILEY}:
Losing her voice didn’t sound like much fun. But she had been cooped up for days, was suitably irritated, and had gotten a reaction.
“Oh, did I hit a nerve?” she asked innocently.
Tumblr media
There were days when Sidian had little patience, or none at all for that matter, today was one of those days. He would sooner make this little pest writhe on the ground in agony than he would fall into her little ploy to get a rise out of him. A sigh of mild exasperation left his lungs before he shook his head, these slaves would only learn by action. “No, you did not, but I do suggest you shut your mouth or I will take your voice.”

{MIKA}:
Tumblr media
Mika narrowed his eyes as he looked at the well dressed man.  “Well, I’m definitely not getting out if I don’t at least ask,” he said, fingers wrapping around the bars of the cage and giving a shake.  “People have been telling me crazy stories, but there seems to be a mistake.  I haven’t done anything wrong, so let me out.”
He was angry and wanted to shout and scream, but he thought maybe trying the calmer route first would work better….or so he hoped.  If not, there was always time to be angry later.
Tumblr media
Ahh yes, how he loved when slaves knew by the way he carried himself that it was wiser not to engage in such a challenging and threatening manner. This one was quick on his toes, Sidian admired that in a trapped prey. “No, you’ve most likely done anything wrong, but of course you’d think that--- The rules you once knew on the outside of this cell are no longer relevant, now, you go by my rules.” Of course there were more than just Sidian’s rules, the ways to get things from the witch was different then it might have been to get things from the head of the guards or a guard themselves, every person in the place had a specific way they wished the slaves to be, if one truly wanted to get something out of the higher ups then they would jump through every hoop.

{BENNETT} :
Bennett winced at the others words. “More like I need to remember that people might take my hyperbole literally here and that I should keep quiet.” They looked down at their feet. “Freedom without a soul isn’t much freedom. And I’m useless without my magic anyway.”
Tumblr media
“Hmm, why take them any other way but seriously? Obviously, it’s more fun to do so--” Sidian let his head fall to the side, inspecting, prodding in its nature before he breathed a soft chuckle. He never had a problem with being unimportant, sure, his father was not one who was fond of making Sidian feel any kind of special. So in turn the witch rarely did the same for anyone else.
“Oh, that’s not entirely true, sure, your true importance is gone now-- but there are many ways to obtain your freedom, it simply depends on how far you’re willing to go to achieve that goal.” Dark hues scanned over the slave, assessing their ability to fight, intentions of pitting two slaves against one another becoming increasingly appealing to Sidian.

{ANGEL}:
“Yeah okay.” Angel also was unimpressed by the other, words like that held no meaning to the blue eyed vampire especially not ones spoken by one of their supposed peers or whatever. “So I’m looking for succulents. Got any I might like in here, your ‘highness’?” Angel had enough plants in their home, but that never stopped them before.

Naturally, with a potential customer Sidian’s disposition changed, a smile spread his lips but it was taut, almost uncomfortable as he tried to be as friendly as he could, especially after they had called him highness. The witch cleared his throat and glanced around the dense almost jungle like shop, obviously kept with help from magic. “My apologies,” He said through the clenched teeth of his smile.  “I have various succulents, it would depend on what you plan on using them for-- perhaps I could help you find the correct one, friend.” He was annoyed but that wasn’t going to stop him from doing business, really it should have been one of his employees doing this, but he was not above making a buck.

{BENNETT}:
Bennett didn’t entirely know what they were doing there. They were considering getting a job. Though they wouldn’t get paid, they hoped that maybe having something to do other than sulk in the cells all day would give them a sense of purpose. When they heard the voice a chill went down their spine, and they quickly put down what they had been holding. “’M sorry, sir,” they said quietly looking down at the floor to avoid his gaze.

Another witch, yes, Sidian had seen them before--- the signature of energy was unclear for a moment but it was still familiar, more so than the fact that Sidian had met this one before. A hereditary energy, something Sidian had felt before, he couldn’t place it just yet but in time he would. An unamused and blank expression flecked across his smooth skin, slack and relaxed because there was no true threat, just a nosy little slave. His gaze flicked over the slave before it went to the object that had been in the others hands. “What can I do for you?” It wasn’t a friendly tone, just professional, to the point. If it hadn’t been for the guard just outside, not doing his damn job, then Sidian would most likely have done something far more aggressive, thieves were his least favorite of fiends.
