On a long ass road-trip from Oregon bcs my friend escaped (moved) there cause he’s like “scared for his right or whatever”

And whilst I’m stuck in this car on the way back with his partner I am just making them listen to hot takes as someone who is currently trying to get a degree as a historian who specializes in pop culture and here is more like a lukewarm take

Which is that my favorite album “brat” by charli xcx is awesome not just bcs it’s got banger club hits but bcs it’s a direct cultural opposition to the rise of conservatism in our culture that is directly tied to the rise of the “clean girl” aesthetic
