I’ve had thoughts of like, a DOL dead by daylight au where pc snaps and the rest of the characters act as survivors . Pc has GUI/cheat abilities, like being able to reset their health or pull items out of thin air, and they look essentially unrecognizable (like the air itself is sick of them. I kind of wanted it to be related to how their experiences could make you disassociate and lose identity)

Their snapping mostly involved being sick of the perverted cycle of life and town they were seemingly trapped in, and one evening the code breaks and this particular pc is flooded with memories of every possible event . Because this code snaps, its also what allows them their cheat GUI

I like to think maybe the pale wraith and snapped!pc are both in a really tense and unfriendly alliance . The town, while it does change, always has people come back to life the following day, regardless of injuries

If this WAS to be a game, I like to think the main objective would be about collecting items and resources to bring back home . Whitney could be able to stun the killers, given Kylar is able to make pepper spray he’s probably something like a weapon-making guy, Robin is in the beginner category and is just deeply worried for pc (and likely the first to be killed by them)

Im not the Bailey anon but I find it funny that most would automatically assume liking older characters in this game means we have daddy issues, because I fw Bailey and Avery (and other older npcs) solely because they're closer to my age compared to our pc

I love this game and the lore in it, but id be lying if i dont say deep down i wish theres more games like DoL with similar vibes and tones but with an adult *adult* pc (like above 20 yo at least)

The only stuff I liked in the update was the organized kitchen recipes and that scene where you help the orphans to prank Bailey. I didn’t even do the bucket thing, just distracted him by talking. Loved how he paused and gave me that serious stare: arms crossed and everything. That was kinda awesome ngl 😍

Like I'm literally a big simp for daddy Bailey. And not to say how much I'm disgusted by that jerk mod, named Devil... Before her departure from the server (because of the constant fans rightfully throwing bricks at her), there was a period (a few months ago) where she mocked the hell out of Bailey fans. Often saying so casually as a "joke" that we have plenty of daddy issues, saying the we'll never receive the love from our dads and we're sad and pathetic, and search the parent's love in a rape game...

Pure sickening, if you ask me. But honestly? Fuck it. FUCK. IT! She literally doesn't know a single thing about my personal life, and I always had the love of my parents, especially my dad. That's why I didn't became such a narcissist. I draw the line at my parents being insulted.

I dunno what's going on in her head to assume things like these out of nowhere, but it sure isn't healthy. This "daddy kink" has literally nothing to with the parent-child relationship. I don't get this thing. Just like another anon said in here: Vrel creates a porn game full of taboo kinks for fans, he doesn't give much details about each character in order to let the fans freely speculate, encourages non-judgemental behavior as long as it's fiction, and in the next moment, some mods come and mock the hell out of those fans for daring to speculate! For daring to be a fan, more likely. Logic 0%.

But in the end, I'm glad I can get out these frustrating thoughts out of my head and can enjoy the karma the DoL server got in March. I can now erase all my bad memories with these insults and can finally enjoy Bailey in peace. 🙏🕊️

I hate the "new" weather animations so much. They're pretty but I have chronic migraines and eye strain issues and they set me off all the time. I don't understand why they've been around for so long without any options to turn them off or hide them without hiding every other image in the game.

I skimmed some of the responses on the survey and why are so many people wanting incest for this game.

I don't mean this in a judgmental way of "ewww incest gross", I admit it's not my ish but I don't really care one way or the other, I mostly mean what on earth makes people think we're going to be able to *get* incest in this game in a logical story way? As PC, we are allegedly, an orphan with no known parents or siblings (likely to really hammer home that we are all alone in the world and have no easy way out/no escape), we can potentially get pregnant and bear children but I don't think they ever grow past the toddler/baby phase ala Stardew Valley (and I know Vrel explicitly has said he has no interest in and there won't be pedo content, again, not that I would want it, but covering the logical bases here).

At most we could *maybe* get indirect incest by witnessing it through other characters (Sirris and Sydney, Kylar and whatever the fuck is going on with his parents, personally I'd find that last one really interesting from a gothic horror trope perspective, Morgan's whole deal and the implication that they abused Charlie), but I just don't see it ever happening to the PC. Unless there really would be an option to get "adopted" and have some kind of adoption/step-parent thing going on? Is that what people want? Idk, it's just baffling to me that so many people want incest when there really doesn't seem to be a particularly good avenue for it.

(But I mean hey I'll gladly take the Sirris and Sydney option, I can be trusted with science MILF pussy. I can be Sydney's new step-parent. :))) )

Did they really remove the option to bid Eden “stay safe” before he or she goes out hunting???? I ain’t seeing the option nowhere anymore, and it’s makin me tear up a bit because Eden feels kinda distant with PC now since I know that option was available at one point in time. Here’s to hoping I’m missing something or it’s a glitch. My PC since the update became submissive, so maybe that’s why??? Would be a travesty of a silent “patch” to remove something so sweet yet simple. I’ll try to go back to playing defiant PC to see if the option’ll show up again. Is Vrel on hiatus? I remember there used to be nearly monthly updates, but now the latest DOL update was released in December last year. It was a big update though, so taking a break makes sense. DOL is my current fixation, so I’m really eager for more content, especially pregnancy content. I just hope the drama with the discord server isn’t delaying updates, or scaring away patrons because I believe Vrel needs them to continue updating the game since, from what I’ve heard, it’s his livelihood.

I originally left the server because I was disheartened that some fanart I put a ton of effort into hadn't been put into the gallery but my lower quality fanart was. I was going to ask the mods about it (because like,,, idk, maybe they intended to add it but had forgotten or maybe the art wasn't as good as I had thought it was) but saw other artists in the artist channel saying that anyone who asked to have their art put in the gallery should be banned from having their art in their at all. So I ended up leaving because I didn't want that to be what the mods thought I was doing. 😭

Does anyone know what's going on in DoLcord? I usually lurk there, but the server announcements have been odd lately and it's worrisome.

The political announcement one, right? From my understanding of the situation: a member of IDF (from what the person described themselves to be) vent about their involvement within it. Members are discomforted by this due to varying reasons, and take it up to the mods. I think initially the mods were alright with the member as they'd like to have a 'neutral' stance on any serious real life world occurences to avoid conflicts, but their stance ended up being the one that start a conflict in the first place.

From what I witnessed, a lot of fan creators in this fandoms has either diassociate themselves from the game entirely, or lessened their interactions or fanworks instead.

Personally, I think this one instance wasn't just the cause of the mass quitting. But the same drama over and over again that people are growing tired of. Not to mention, the planned major overhaul on some of the popular characters turn off a lot of their fans too. I've personally been rather disinterested about DoL since they remove Bailey's one sex scene LOL. I understand why they take it out, but still. Feelings feel what it want.

i'm not really sure what the drama is with dol-cord right now but from my experience i just get physically ill whenever i feel embarrassed there because it feels like there exists an environment on dol-cord where you feel like you'll get beaten up for having a differing opinion. i do feel like it's calmed down slightly but the fact there was that environment in the first place was weird. tl;dr, everytime i feel bad on dolcord i hit the lin manuel miranda 'need to pee' pose

For clarification, I was not saying that trans people can't crossdress as well. I love trans crossdressers sm and I never want the impression taken that I don't. It's just that being a crossdresser and being trans are inherently different things, even though the mere prospect of crossdressing has historically been used to vilify and invalidate transgender people. The game only allows you to crossdress, which can be alienating for trans people who like their genitals because they'll be constantly misgendered by the ui and whenever their "true gender" is revealed. Trans crossdressing would deffo me more convoluted than the current mechanic, but it is awesome and cool and should be allowed in any game that allows for crossdressing. Also, npcs can be trans but not the pc? I can put my playthroughs transfem Sydney in a boys swimsuit and that can count for her crossdressing, which is the closest you can get in-game to a trans person crossdressing being treated as crossdressing.

I'm half asleep typing this but I hope you understand that that was NOT what I was trying to imply with my previous ask. I have so many trans friends and am a crossdresser myself, I've never met people more kind about my love for crossdressing. Most of them don't crossdress unless they're trying to stay in the closet, which I wish so badly that they didn't have to deal with.
