I just managed to eke out a shirt with a placket and cuffs from the leftover orange fabric. It got a square facing, which was then trimmed down, and the seams were liberally finished with fray check. Just to make the little top threads behave. Thanks, Licca-Chan sewing book for the tip!

I also put on the arms today!! It took two tries, because the first time the thread included with the kit broke. I used three threads of serger cone threads, doubled up on the second try. Since I didn’t want to sacrifice any embroidery skeins for it. The kit even came with a doll needle. It was a bit too small to truly be easy to use, but it still worked.

I may have put in too much stuffing in the body, because the included waistband pattern did not fit. The next time I’ll make the bloomer pants fuller and longer. I used some stash fabric I had originally bought for a scrub top. As a nod to that, I made two little channels for elastic, just like I’ve done to make people sized scrub pants into joggers.

I also cut out the body of Jeff the Rabbit, but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to sew him.

I got the Anniversary Rainbow Brite to go with my Anniversary Strawberry Shortcake. I don’t remember ever watching Rainbow Brite as a kid, but I’m gonna see if I can find some stuff this weekend to watch :)

I am having such a good time spending my evening hour (today closer to two hours) sewing.

There was quite a bit of rather fiddly hand sewing to do, in order to put the ears in while leaving gaps to insert the wires.

It was really cool that every time the directions said to do anything, the materials were right there already assembled. I didn’t have to search the sewing room for a chopstick I’d mislaid somewhere, or go and look for a spare bit of wire that would suit. It was nice to have all the things included in the kit.

I cut the materials very sparingly, so there should be enough left for a third rabbit after all :D

…I bought Strawberry Bartholomew Bear 🍓 🐻

Because he’s so precious and he will go perfectly with my Blueberry Tummy-Tums. And my other Bartholomew Bears (10” and 19”).

The true benchmark is when I know I’ll regret not getting something. Then I allow myself to get it, as long as it’s not breaking the bank.

I finished the first dress for the little rabbits! This was yesterday and this evenings work, so about 2 hours. The fray check came in handy for taming the loose threads on top of the fabric. I used my corder and some stashed embroidery thread for the sash.

They’re from some kits off Amazon. I wanted a kit because it’s got everything already put together, and I wouldn’t know where else to get the brushed fabrics on their own.

It’s all a nice medium small scale. Smaller than AG but not as small as 11” dolls like Creatable World or Liccachan.

The girl rabbit is named Luna and the boy rabbit is named Jeff.

I can’t fit it on them yet, because I haven’t made either rabbit. I hope there’s enough fabric leftover to make a half and half bunny. Imagine— three entire little bunnies. Let’s hope my attention span lasts that long lol

I’m working on various projects right now, but today i tried making mini half square triangles with 1” squares. They are put together and sewn down the middle, then trimmed on one side and pressed flat. I combined 4 to make a pinwheel. It’s so teeny tiny.

Also. Vash the Stampede plushie. That is all.

I bought a shirt at the store thinking I could wear it but I don’t like the fit. Now I’m stuck between wanting to return it or upcycle for Joss’s linen pants and a summer dress for the dolls wardrobe

This outfit is made from leftovers of incomplete sets and I’m enjoying seeing the red sweater out of its original problematic context.
