you walk into the small studio, hearing a few grunts and hits at the punching bag. riki was there in the ring as you rounded the corner, watching him block his face with the boxing gloves, dodging as if the punching bag were his opponent.

his tank clung to him, his arms flexing with every blow. you were hypnotized.

he almost didn’t notice you. until he turned to grab his water.

“oh— hey, baby,” he flashed a grin, walking over to the ring ropes and crouching down to your level.

“hi,” you replied bashfully, your cheeks burning from how hard you bit back your smile.

he leaned down to kiss the corner of your lips and then pressed one on top of them.

“i missed you, it’s been ages,” he mumbled.

you giggle, “it’s been four hours, riki.”

“four hours too long,” he scoffed, taking a sip of his water, some of it escaping the bottle and dribbling down his chin.

you shake your head in amusement, watching as he climbed out of the ring to finally stand in front of you properly.

“so, when will i see you at one of my matches?” his hands found your waist, squeezing as he brought you closer to him.

“mm, i don’t know,” you shrug. “those things scare me, ki.”

“why?” he chuckled.

“‘cause i don’t like seeing you all bruised up and bleeding!” you shove his chest lightly. you didn’t know why he was even asking that question. it’s not like he didn’t know your answer.

“babe, we go over this every time. i’m fine! it’s all for fun.” he pecked the top of your head.

“so you like getting beat up for fun?” you grumbled rhetorically, causing him to snicker.

“well, when you put it like that..”

“exactly.”
