Dom let out a playful laugh at the question. "Oh, to score some free drinks from me, you'd really need to charm me," he said, flashing a cheeky grin. "I mean, you'd have to make me want to take you home and fool around. I remember those days when I was on the hunt for free drinks; sometimes the bartenders would end up taking me home after his shift. The nights weren’t exactly fireworks, but hey, at least I had a warm bed to crash in," he chuckled softly, though a flicker of melancholy danced in his eyes as he reminisced about those tough times on the streets and the lengths he went to for a little relief.
Tumblr media
Aiden blushed a bit more at the other's teasing, only nodding his head shyly. "R-Right, we'll just say it's the baker in me..." he chuckled, grateful that the other man didn't make fun of him for being sensitive to the alcohol. Given that he was unfamiliar with going to bars and drinking, the dragonblood was grateful that Dom was such a friendly and welcoming bartender. It was why he had chosen to come in at this time of day, where there wouldn't have been many patrons around anyways.
He continued sipping away at his drink as he listened to the other man, smiling in amusement at the werefox's own story. "Well, now that you're on the other side of the bar, do you give people free drinks when they flirt with you then?" Aiden chuckled, wondering what it was like to feel confident enough to flirt with a stranger. In fairness, he had never really done it himself, although he was familiar with being flirted with whenever patrons came to his bakery. He had always hoped people would be more interested in the baked goods he was selling though.

Dom laughed lightly at Aiden’s shy reaction. “Yes, but I figured you don’t drink much. Most people who barely drink can taste the alcohol even if I only put in a drop,” he said with a teasing tone, leaning in a little closer in a flirtatious manner. “But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone you’re a lightweight. That’ll be our little secret,” he purred with a playful wink before pulling back, a smirk dancing on his lips. “We’ll just pretend it’s the baker in you!”
As he continued to clean his mixing glasses, Dom chuckled. “Hmm, well, I have a lot of experience with booze, so I guess that makes me a good bartender. Even if I can’t drink it anymore, I remember what pairs best,” he shrugged casually. “But I’m sure some guys just come here to flirt with the bartender, no matter who’s behind the bar. I know I did that sometimes, and hey, that’s how I snagged a few free drinks!” He flashed a cheeky wink, clearly enjoying the playful banter and the connection they were building.
Tumblr media
"Oh, I see. Well, it's good that you don't drink anymore then," Aiden said, doing his best to offer up some support. It wasn't like Dom needed it, but it was always nice to hear that someone was taking control over their life and doing things that were best for them. He hoped he could learn to do that for himself one day. The dragonblood blushed a bit, ducking his head down shyly after stealing another sip from his drink. "O-Oh, i-is it?" he said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry, I don't... really drink too much. But I really do like it," he said with a smile.
"I'll pretend it's because of my skills as a baker then," Aiden said with a chuckle. He figured it was because of his unfamiliarity with alcohol that made him taste it through the fruitiness of the drink. The baker blinked a bit in surprise at the playful wink, only blushing a bit more at the teasing remark. "O-Oh, well... I mean, I think people would come here for you too. I think you're a great bartender. You know how to make people feel more comfortable. I'd come back if you were my bartender again."

Dom smirked at the question, taking a moment to look JD over with playful interest. “Mm, let’s just say it wouldn’t take much convincing for me to accept your services,” he teased, punctuating his words with a cheeky wink.
As JD pulled out the bills, Dom’s smile widened at the sight of the extra cash. “Well, I thank you, fine sir!” he said with a dramatic bow, relishing the moment.
Feeling bold, he quickly scribbled his number on a napkin. As JD got up and started heading for the door, Dom dashed to catch up. He grabbed JD’s hand gently, slipping the napkin into his palm. “In case you ever want to text me and see when I’m working,” he murmured, leaning in close to JD’s ear.
Pulling back, he flashed a playful smile before returning to the bar. “Have a good night!” he called out, giving JD a little wave, his heart racing with excitement and the thrill of having taken a chance , knowing he might get written up if anyone caught him giving out his number to handsome customers.
The bartender is cute, JD will give him that. His playful words, his teasing smiles- they're comfortable, an easy dance in a worn pair of shoes. JD doesn't have to think too hard about it all; he smiles in turn, equally playful, eyes twinkling in the low light as he takes the last sip of his drink. "You're not so bad yourself," he comments offhandedly, "your vibes... consider me charmed." His chuckle is subdued, barely audible.
He plucks the umbrella from the rim of his glass and fidgets with it idly as he listens. He hums softly, sliding his fingers along the tiny apparatus to open and close it. "Other services," he drawls, "not the first time I've heard that. Would you even want my services, though, chéri?"
"I'm not good with much," he continues breezily, "retired, you know. Sort of. I'm not hurtin' for cash, though, so I hope that'll be alright for now." He reaches into his pocket and procures a sleek black wallet; he rifles through it before sliding several bills onto the counter and setting his empty cup atop them. "It's been much appreciated but I've gotta get back at it. All those e-mails won't answer themselves..." He breathes deeply as he rises from his seat, shoulders slumping when he exhales. "Ciao, chéri," he says, raising a hand in farewell before turning to head out.

Dom chuckled at JD’s words, leaning in a little closer, his voice dropping to a teasing purr. “I’m good at making people beg,” he said with a smirk, pulling back to give JD a playful wink.
As he finished cleaning his mixing glasses, he laughed softly. “That’s quite the compliment. I really appreciate it,” he said, his smile warm and genuine. “I only offer the secret menu to customers I like.” He gave JD a lingering look, his smirk returning. “And I like your vibes, handsome.”
“Now, as for payment,” Dom continued, leaning on the bar with a casual air, “I usually take cash, and I appreciate a good tip if you liked your service. That can definitely be cash…” He paused, a mischievous glint in his eye as he remembered his own past. “Or other services,” he chuckled, more to himself than anyone else.
Turning his attention back to JD, he added with a laugh, “But if you’ve got the cash, those other services aren’t required. Just keep coming back for my drinks and charming company!” He winked again, the playful banter filling the space between them with an easy chemistry.
JD's chuckle is low as he witnesses the playful bow, perhaps a bit endeared by the enthusiasm. He'd return the energy were he not seated, but it's a little difficult to bow with a flourish while slouched over a counter. Another sip has his drink running low but he doesn't appear particularly bothered; the dull buzz settling in the back of his skull is quite pleasant.
"Begging? Really?" His lazy smile sharpens into a curved smirk. "That's a tall order to live up to- I'll be looking forward to it." He chuckles again, low and fond.
He leans against the polished counter and swirls his drink idly. "So modest, chéri," he drawls, "you've got to be the best I've met since getting here, if that counts for anything. The pretty face doesn't hurt, though." He pokes his tongue out teasingly. "But the drinks are what'll keep everyone coming back, surely. And with the promise of a secret menu item... well, you've got me hooked, that's for sure."
"So, tell me: what do I owe you? Cash, favors... I'm still not so good with the economy around here, admittedly."

Dom chuckled at JD’s enthusiastic acceptance of his “quest.” “Well, I look forward to seeing you more often, oh brave warrior!” he played along, giving JD a little mock bow, his eyes sparkling with humor.
He smirked at the mention of his secret menu item. “Oh, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. You’ll be begging for more,” he teased, tossing in a wink for good measure. As he poured himself a glass of water, he took a refreshing sip, the coolness revitalizing him.
“I’m really glad you like my work,” he continued, leaning casually against the bar. “It’s nice to know I’m actually good at this job and that people aren’t just coming here for my pretty face,” he giggled, his playful demeanor shining through. “But hey, if my charm and good looks bring in the customers, who am I to complain?” He flashed a cheeky grin, clearly enjoying the light-hearted banter and the connection they were building.
JD glances up as he listens, a soft smile still playing on his lips. The lovely bartender is new around town, then? Not that it means much to him- he still hasn't entirely gotten his own bearings in New Haven, and pretty much anyone he comes across is a new face. He inclines his head in a slight nod as he hums in acknowledgment of the sentiments being shared. "Yeah," he murmurs, "things here are... different. Mm."
His focus returns to his drink as he takes another slow sip. The umbrella teeters on the edge of the glass, threatening to fall, but ultimately manages to remain balanced. He nudges it absently, a lackluster attempt at ensuring its security.
Perhaps it's the warmth of the alcohol settling in his gut, but he finds himself leaning closer as well. He rests an elbow on the counter, dark eyes glinting playfully in the light. "That's a quest I can certainly manage, chéri," he says, smile widening a fraction, "you can consider it done." He's enjoyed his Tokyo Tea thus far and doesn't anticipate that changing. That basically makes his quest a success for now, right?
He drags his index along the counter to draw a checkmark, chuckling softly as he does so. "I'll be your bravest warrior," he continues, nonchalant. "I'll be looking forward to that secret menu item, hm? I'm sure it'll well worth the wait, all things considered." He motions vaguely to his drink, fingers brushing against the side of the glass. He doesn't hesitate to take another sip, sighing contentedly afterwards. "You're good," he murmurs, "you shouldn't be wondering if I'll be coming back, but when, you know?"

Dom couldn’t help but chuckle shyly at Aiden’s question. “Well… let’s just say I got a little too attached to drinking,” he admitted, a hint of vulnerability in his voice. “And honestly, even if I had just one drink, I’d probably get attached all over again.” He sighed dramatically, then shifted his focus back to Aiden as he took a sip of his drink.
Dom perked up at Aiden’s reaction, letting out a delighted laugh. “It’s not really that strong! I made it more fruity for you,” he teased, leaning in slightly. “You must have some seriously good taste buds if you can taste the alcohol more than the fruitiness!”
He beamed at the compliment, his confidence returning as he leaned over the bar. “I really appreciate that. I’m glad my drinks are hitting the mark. I was starting to think people only came to me for my pretty face,” he said with a playful wink, his eyes sparkling with mischief
Tumblr media
Watching as the other man worked on his drink, Aiden's eyes followed the bartender's movements with fascination in his eyes. He tilted his head at the response about not drinking anymore, furrowing his brows a bit at the response. The dragonblood wondered if he should ask more about it, but hesitated if it was breaching something that was too personal. His curiosity overtook him though, and he couldn't help but ask. "What, uh... made you not want to drink anymore, if you don't mind me asking?"
He took the offered drink, taking a sip from it. His eyes widened at the taste, Aiden's expression showing just how much he enjoyed the drink. "Oh wow, that's really good..." he said with a hum. "I can definitely taste the alcohol though. Is it a particularly strong drink?" he asked curiously. While Aiden wasn't exactly planning on getting drunk or shit-faced, he wouldn't mind the slight buzz. "You're really good at this; if all your drinks taste this good, I see why people go to bars to drink now."

Dom watched with a smirk as JD took a sip of the drink he’d crafted, already knowing it was a winner. The way JD admired the colorful umbrella was adorable, and he couldn’t help but chuckle softly when the man stumbled over his words. “I’m really glad you like it,” he said, leaning casually against the bar, a playful glint in his eyes.
As he began cleaning his mixing glasses, JD asked about any rumors or gossip floating around. Dom shrugged, a teasing smile forming on his lips. “Hmm, not really. I’m still pretty new here, so even if I did hear some gossip, I wouldn’t have a clue who it’s about,” he laughed. “And honestly, who knows if it’s even juicy? It’s a bit strange being surrounded by people who talk so openly about their heats and, well… other omega issues.”
He glanced over at JD as he spoke, trying not to be too obvious about checking him out. The way the light caught his features was distracting in the best possible way.
“Now, as for quests,” he said, leaning in a little closer, the atmosphere charged with playful energy, “my quest for you is to enjoy every drink I serve. Think you can handle that?” He raised an eyebrow, grinning widely. “And who knows? If you keep coming back, I might just whip up something special for you next time. Maybe a secret menu item just for the brave?” He winked, clearly enjoying the banter.
JD nods along as the bartender speaks, pleased with the warm the reception to his admittedly odd request. He continues to twirl the tiny umbrella between his thumb and forefinger as he watches the bartender work his magic. His lips quirk as he watches, smile widening a fraction in response to the dramatic flourishing. Very cute, chéri.
He drops the umbrella onto the rim of the glass and it does look quite at home there, almost matching the color of the drink. His gaze flicks down for less than a second, a subtle assessment of his own attire, before his attention returns to his drink. "Cheers," he echoes with a lopsided grin, raising the glass to his lips to take a long and generous sip.
He's silent for a moment, savoring the taste.
"It's perfect," he praises, eyes crinkling at the corners when he smiles, "they pair together well, don't they?" He indicates the umbrella balancing on the rim, the thin wooden pole now barely submerged in the green liquid. "You have a good eye, pal. And good... mixing... skills. Hm. That sounds a bit awkward. Forgive me, chéri- what I mean to say is that it tastes good. So thanks for that." He takes another sip of his drink, this one much smaller, and is careful to avoid hitting himself in the face with the umbrella garnish.
"So," he begins again, eyes on his drink as he slides his index along the rim, nudging the umbrella along with it. "Heard any rumors lately? Or... hmm. Gossip? Got any quests? Anything?" His voice may be soft but it still lilts playfully, a few notes of an accent shining through as he speaks.

Dom had just woken up after a late shift at the bar, grateful for a day off. He glanced at his phone and groaned, realizing he’d already slept most of the day away. With a quick change into some low-rise sweatpants and a white tank top, he headed out, craving one thing: coffee.
As he arrived at the coffee shop, he let out another groan at the sight of the long line. Reluctantly, he joined the queue, surprised by how many people were here at 3 PM. Guess this place was popular.
When the stranger in front of him turned to speak, Dom raised an eyebrow. “Well, I’m new in town, so this is my first time at this coffee shop. I’m trying one each day until I find the best,” he chuckled, giving a playful shrug. “So, to answer your question, no, I don’t come here often… yet. It all depends on whether they impress me.” He added a wink for good measure, enjoying the light banter.

Coffee & Contemplation
Location: My Cup Runneth Over
Anyone/Open:
The life of a handyman meant that Ronan set his own hours. It was a gig he wouldn't dare give up. He hated the idea of working a mundane 9/5 like everyone else seemed to do. He didn't want to be like everyone else. He never did. Even as a child growing up and playing on the playground. It was around three in the afternoon. He had woken up about an hour ago and his body was craving an iced coffee. He needed almost one every day to fully adjust to waking up and being involved in society. He was standing in line when he felt someone behind him, cocking his head back slightly due to being nosey, he smiled softly at the other individual. "Come here often?" He asked jokingly.

Dom watched as Keegan took a sip of his drink, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips. “So, Keegan, is that drink strong enough for you, or should I make your next one a real powerhouse?” He leaned over the bar, eyebrow raised.
“No, I haven’t listened to them,” he added with a smirk. “Always thought Metallica was just dad rock. But this shirt? Totally my strategy for attracting some hot daddies!” He laughed, clearly joking, then turned to acknowledge Keegan’s compliment. “Thanks! I’ve always been teased for having a more feminine physique, so I figured, why not flaunt it? Now all those boys who made fun of me? They’re the ones sliding into my DMs.” He winked, clearly enjoying the moment.
Tumblr media
“Please…call me Keegan. Sir sounds way too formal in this kind of setting.” He said as he chuckled lightly. Keegan loved watching bartenders make his drinks. He was very capable of making his own drinks at home, he just enjoyed watching other people make it for him. Once the bartender put the drink down on the table for him, he breathed a silent sigh of relief. He didn’t want to see too eager, but he grabbed the drink gently and took a sip of it to try it out and see if it was to his liking, which it indeed was.
“You’ve never listened to them? Man, you’re missing out.” He was shocked that the bartender hadn’t ever heard them. He supposed that they weren’t everyone’s cup of tea though and that was fair. “I think not every guy can pull a crop top off but you definitely do.” He held up his glass in a cheers motion before giving him a playful wink.

Dom chuckled with a hint of amusement. “I might just take you up on that; I have a soft spot for a good croissant,” he said with a warm smile, giving Aiden a quick look over, briefly checking the man out.
“Great! I’ll get that for you right away,” Dom replied, setting to work with a touch of flair. He mixed the drink with a bit of showmanship, trying to add a personal touch. When Aiden asked about his favorite drink, Dom nearly fumbled a bottle, the question catching him a little off guard though he would have to learn to get used to it being a recovering alcoholic working in a bar after all. Everyone said work in what you know and Dom definitely knew a lot about booze.
“Well, it might surprise you, but I don’t really drink anymore,” Dom said with a gentle smile. “But when I did, I was definitely a slut for a good piña colada.” He finished by pouring the drink into a tall martini glass, placing a coaster down, and sliding it over to Aiden. “Let me know what you think.”
Tumblr media
Chuckling a bit, Aiden ducked his head down sheepishly. Even if he wasn't particularly smelly, the baker did feel a bit bad that his line of work made others acutely aware of his job, especially in a town with werefolk. "I see... Well, now you know, if you ever want any sweets or baked goods in town, you can always come to see me. I'll help you pick out something nice that fits your taste," the dragonblood said cheerfully.
The blonde tilted his head at the suggestion, nodding carefully at it. "I've never had one before, but it sounds yummy. I like hugs, so a cocktail hug can't be bad, right?" Aiden leaned a bit forward on the bar, watching as Dom showed off his skills. "What sort of drink is your favorite?"

Dom couldn’t help but smirk at the man’s delightfully mismatched outfit. It was eccentric, and he found its odd charm oddly appealing. Leaning over the bar, he eyed the tiny umbrella the man was holding with a knowing grin. “Well, that’s a statement,” he said, voice dripping with playful sarcasm. “Let’s find a drink worthy of that accessory.”
After a quick mental run-through of his drink repertoire, Dom decided on a Tokyo Tea. Its vibrant green seemed like the perfect match for the little umbrella. He mixed the cocktail with a flourish, making sure to give it just the right amount of flair.
Sliding the drink across the bar with a dramatic flourish, he quipped, “Here you go. I’m sure the little umbrella will be thrilled with its new home. Cheers to making bold fashion choices!” He chuckled, watching with amusement as the man took in the drink.
The bell chimes as JD pushes through the door. It’s too early to be here and he knows it- he just doesn’t care. The sun is still high in the sky even if the weather is a little brisk. It doesn’t matter. Day or night, rain or shine, he always finds his way back to places like this. He gives the bartender a cursory glance, gaze lingering for only a moment before he takes a seat at the counter. He sets an elbow on the polished surface and cups his chin in his hand before flashing a subdued smile.
“Well, chéri,” he says as he reaches into the pocket of his tan trench coat that absolutely does not pair well with his ensemble. A dark t-shirt with a fading Nirvana logo, ill-fitting gray sweats, and black converse with the laces knotted several times rather than tied. “I’m on the hunt, y’see. For the perfect drink.” His tone is lilting, playful, and contains a soft hint of southern twang. He pulls a lime-green paper umbrella from his pocket and pushes it open with his thumb and index before holding it up. “The perfect home, even, for my sad lil umbrella. Can you help me out?”

Dom chuckled as he watched the man sniff himself, clearly unsure about his own condition. “Oh, don’t worry,” he said with a playful smirk. “I’ve got a nose for these things, I cam a werefox after all and you don’t exactly have that 'just rolled out of a dumpster' vibe. You’re good.”
He tilted his head, considering his drink suggestion. “So, how about a classic cosmopolitan?” Dom said, with a touch of flair. “It’s got that timeless charm, and I like to add a splash of grenadine to sweeten the deal. It’s like a cocktail hug for your taste buds. Interested, handsome?”
Tumblr media
As he adjusted his weight to the seat on the bar, Aiden glanced up at the bartender with an embarrased expression. "Is it that obvious? Ah, I'm sorry. I just came here after work," he chuckled, only turning his head to take a whiff of his body. He wasn't sure if he smelled like a bakery, but then again, the dragonblood was practically used to smelling like baked goods at this point.
"Perhaps... something sweeter? I don't think I want anything to get too tipsy. I just wanted something simple and refreshing before I went home for the day. I heard people come to bars to relax and destress after a long day, but I never know what's good to order." Aiden paused, tapping his chin in thought as he tried to think about some of the things Skylar would order whenever they went out. "Since the sun's still out, is there something more... fruit-flavored and sweet that you like to drink? I always find that refreshing in the heat."
