Realistic Self-Talk

This too shall pass & my life will be better.

I am a worthy and good person. 

I am doing the best I can, given my history and level of current awareness.

Like everyone else, I am a fallible person and at times will make mistakes and am committed to learning from them.

What is, is.

Look at how much I have accomplished, and I am still progressing.

There are no failures, only different degrees of success.

Be honest and true to myself.

It is OK to let myself be distressed for awhile.

I am not helpless. I can and will take the steps needed to get through during crisis. 

I will remain engaged and involved instead of isolating and withdrawing during this situation.

This is an opportunity, instead of a threat. I will use this experience to learn something new, to change my direction, and/or to try a new approach. 

Other people are responsible for their reactions to me. 

I can stand anything for a while because I am resilient. 

In the long run, who will remember or care? 

I see all things through the eyes of compassion.

I've learned that I'm not required to always check up on people if they don't do the same in return. I've learned that caring for people comes in a two way street. I don't have to change who I am but I can change the way I am with people. If we don't speak we just don't speak. I'm done trying to always be there for people and having no one in my corner. Taking all that energy back and putting it towards myself.

I stopped sending paragraphs, stopped begging, I stopped telling people how to treat me, and started walking away, blocking, and distancing myself. Life may be lonely, but it’s becoming peaceful. Sometimes being alone in life is better than being surrounded by halfass people.

When God sets you free: Do not look back. Do not check back. Do not go back. Do not doubt or question your freedom in the first place. You are free. You have been freely given victory. You are not missing out on anything. Your portion is not back there. 

So, walk forward.

To be a self-sustaining woman. To be a candid woman. To be an aware woman. To be a private woman. To be a woman for no one other than myself.

I refuse to be the type of woman who is willing to waste decades of my life trying to be with a man who don’t love, respect or value me only because I was afraid to be alone .

I refuse to be the type of woman that was left to pick up the pieces.

I refuse to be the type of woman who didn’t learn from the lessons that the women before me had to learn.

I refuse to be the type of woman who will give a million chances to a man who is not willing to do right by me.

I refuse to feel sorry for myself.

I refuse to be unhappy.

I refuse to be dissatisfied in any areas of my life and relationships with others.

Art Aquarium Exhibition in Tokyo
