MAGS:
Music played loudly throughout the house, a signal to everyone in it and 20 feet away from it that the matriarch was not happy. Even their three year old knew to tread lightly when mom was playing music that loudly, even if she looked really nice dancing and singing along to it. Her phone sat long forgotten on the kitchen island under a dish towel she had used to pull roasted vegetables from the oven–vegetables that had been cut with bottled ferocity that had been coursing through her since about 5pm when she’d finally made her way to her daughter’s room to talk to her about the boundaries she had crossed that day and found an empty room. Not only had the pre-teen gone home with a friend without telling Maggie, making the young mother late to pick up their younger child from daycare because she’d sat in the parking lot for twenty minutes before getting out and asking a teacher (whom told her Teagan had already left), but after Magnolia had gone out of her way to figure out what friend’s parent had picked her up and collecting her daughter from their home, Teagan snuck out again before dinner.
The music, was why she hadn’t heard her husband’s voice call from the front door. But still, as familiar arms found her waist, her muscles relaxed. Maggie leaned into his grasp, reaching out to wrap her hand around the stems. “Honey, they’re beautiful…thank you.” The blonde grinned, looking up at him–ignoring his questions for a pulse. He spoiled her–every day he spoiled her and she’d never be able to wrap her head around what she had done to deserve it. “Your guess is as good as mine.” Magnolia shrugged turning her face into his neck with a hum. “Just kidding. I’m not that shitty.” The woman gave a humorless chuckle into the crook of his neck. “I’m going fucking to kill that kid.” She groaned, bringing a hand up to cover her face as she did, mouth opening to tell the rest of the story. “I spent the afternoon chasing her around the suburbs and paid a 75 dollar late fee because it made me late to pick up Grayson…so you’ll see that in our transactions. I know where she is, I promise.”

The loud music was already an indication that there was trouble in paradise. Still, he held some hope that she'd had it loud to unwind and not because their teenage daughter was being her rebellious self. Her response said something different, however and soon her face was in his neck. Dom rested his head gently on hers and swayed with her in his arms for a few moments while he listened to his wife's stressful afternoon. "That kid, she's just determined to test her limits, huh?" He was processed the situation in his head, analyzing it for the correct solution. The thing about parenting, though, is there was never any clear cut solution. It was hard and they'd had Teagan when they were young. Neither of them had been prepared and they didn't have great examples to look to for a baseline. They'd made it work, though and now they were on the next phase. Teenager. Likely worse that the terrible twos because toddlers didn't run the risk of partying, getting arrested, or ending up pregnant. It terrified him more than he would ever admit and had since the first time he'd looked at his little girl and realized she would grow up some day.
"I'll talk to her when she gets home. It's not safe for her to be wandering around out there. Not with all the stuff in the news." That included the organization he worked for and the amount of bad characters it attracted to their city. Something his wife didn't know he was involved in and he hoped she didn't know about at all. Now there was a lot of extra bodies showing up and some Rorschach name appearing as the culprit. If it was someone retaliating against Valencia, he wondered if him or his family was in danger, too. "How was your day besides Teagan being a pain in the ass?" He asked and placed a kiss on her forehead. His little girl was going to get an earful when she got home, but for now he was concerned with his wife. The one person he chose to spend the rest of his life with and still made him melt every time he saw her. "And what can I do to help make it better?" Dom leaned back and moved a hand to tilt her chin up so he could look into her eyes. A smile that only she'd ever pulled out of him appeared on his face and he leaned in to place a kiss on her lips.

Domenico had been enjoying his coffee, scrolling through the financial news on his phone with the stock market next on his radar. That was when Caspian Hayes was suddenly sitting across from him, asking him who he was. Dom’s brows knit together in confusion. Did he really not remember him? Then he realized he wasn’t all that memorable. It wasn’t like he did anything spectacular or noteworthy beyond graduating college while he live in Los Angeles. “Um,” he cleared his throat and set down his cup. “We went to the same college and grew up in the same city. Dom or Nico.... Hunter.” He nodded with his words assuring himself that he’d said the right thing. “And your Caspian, right?” It was strange how he never forgot a name or a face, perhaps it was ingrained in him from his father remembering all of his vast network.

He normally wouldn’t have been this confident. But the little voice in his head was absolutely certain that he knew this guy from somewhere. He couldn’t remember where – hell, it could’ve been around town just last week – but it was somewhere. So there he was, taking the seat across from the guy at Impulse. “Hey, man, do I know you from somewhere?” he asked, looking into the guy’s eyes, trying to figure it out. “Because, I swear to god, I do.”

“Thanks, I’m good.” Dom answered the coworker asking him if he wanted to join them for lunch. He had work to keep caught up on, no time for breaks. He’d eat a sandwich at his desk as he did most every other day when he was at work. There were investments to find, numbers to crunch, and projections to make. Every quarter was the same shake and dance, it was why he didn’t leave things until the last second. He made it a point to stay ahead of the game as much as possible. As much as they said he was doing a good job, he feared that the minute he stopped he would lose everything. Which was the reason he kept the picture of his wife and kids on his desk. A constant reminder of why he took the risk of working for Valencia Industries in the first place. Even after he’d learned of the shadier sides of the business.
Time seemed to flash by without him realizing it. The last time he’d checked the clock it was lunch time and all of a sudden it was after five in the afternoon. He was supposed to head home almost an hour ago. With a sigh he shut down his computer and pulled his cell phone from his pocket.
To: Mags
Got caught up at the office, on my way home now. See you in a bit.
He sent the message while he stood from his chair and grabbed his keys. On the way home, he stopped at the grocery store for milk, bread, and a couple bottles of red wine. The path to the register brought him past the flowers and he couldn’t resist the urge to pluck out a bouquet for his wife. His fingers drummed on the steering wheel to the music while he drove the route to his favorite place in Red Ridge, home. When he opened the door to his home, a smile instantly spread across his lips. “Hey babe! I’m home!” He made his way through the house, stopping in each room to greet his kids. He noticed his daughter wasn’t in her room. Finally, he found his wife in the kitchen and after he dropped the groceries on the counter, he wrapped his arms around her from behind. He presented her with the flowers, holding them out in front of her with a well-placed kiss to her neck. She was his everything. “Mmmm, how was your day? Where’s Teagan?”

BACKGROUND
Domenico's life started with tragedy. Due to complications during the labor, his mother passed away after giving birth to him. He was positive this was the first time he disappointed his father who had a hard time looking at him as he looked just like her.
Antonio owned a talent agency in Lost Angeles, CA and his mother had been an actress he represented. He was quite the agent and eventually grew his business to the point that he no longer needed to be an agent and could run it from behind the scenes. This didn't mean he was any less busy, however. He remarried and devoted most of his free time with his new wife. 05
For the most part, Dom was raised by nannies and later sent to a boarding school in the city, coming home only on weekends where he was mostly left to his own devices while his father and stepmother attended social functions and parties.
Naturally, he vied for Antonio’s attention and when he didn’t get it he found other outlets. He played lacrosse, which helped work out a lot of aggression, and started to party and cause trouble at school. Bad attention was still attention and his behavior got just that from his father. This continued throughout high school. He did the opposite of what his father wanted for him.
He wanted him to do things like drama and theater or music, things he could make a career with through him. Instead, Dom played sports, got mediocre grades due to the extracurricular activities he was involved in from partying to minor shoplifting and joyriding with his friends. Nothing serious, but enough to have his chances at college threatened.
By some miracle, he managed to get his grades up senior year and qualify for a lacrosse scholarship to UCLA where he majored in economics and accounting. While it didn’t please his father he found a new sense of freedom on campus. He had a group of friends, kept up with his classes for the most part and ventured more into the dating world even though he hated most of the women in LA because they reminded him of his step-mother, fake and full of themselves.
One of the women he dated ended up introducing him to Mags, who he would eventually marry and call his soulmate. She called her “her weird roommate” but Dom ended up liking her a lot more and they started dating. After a couple years, she revealed to him by way of a greeting card that she was pregnant. He asked her if it was a good or bad thing and when she said she wanted to have it, he was over the moon. Still, terrified, but happy all the same.
From then on he stopped the partying and the messing around, he focused hard on his studies and getting a good paying job so he could provide for Mags and the new baby on the way. When he graduated he was already a new father and his own father didn’t even attend the graduation.
A few years and failed internships and shitty jobs later, he got word of a position in Red Ridge, NV. He applied and was accepted for the position. Dom and his new family picked up and moved there, only later he found out the risky side of Valencia and what his position really entailed. The money was something he couldn’t look away from and he made the choice to take the risk, despite that he could lose everything if the company went down.
Because of the money, he was able to afford a ring and asked Mags to marry him one night before they went to bed. Several years later they had their son, and while he still worries about Valencia, things are going well. Dom is nervous it won’t last.
WANTED CONNECTIONS:
Co-Workers (multiple): People who work in the business side of Valencia or that can help connect him to businesses that Valencia can work with. They can have a good relationship or a bad one. Rivals or close acquaintances.
Friends (multiple): Someone to have a drink with, invite over for dinner, grab coffee or lunch, pretty self-explanatory
Best-Friend (0/1): The person who isn’t his wife that is by his side through thick and thin, and the other way around. This person knows him well and he trusts them. Probably made them the god-parent to his kids.
Enemy: Someone who wants to take him or Valencia down or both.

I am running a couple of companies and I am also acting so my wife and daughter come to as many things as they possibly can. I am working for them and I am also working for the good of the world but for me, family is what keeps me going. Quality time with them is more important than anything.
