forbidden // renhyuck

it was 10 p.m midnight and the crescent moon was out. renjun the angel and donghyuck the demon were cuddling on donghyuck 's king-sized bed while hearing their hearts beating in rhythm. no one on either of their side knew they were seeing each other, and they wanted to keep it that way.

the angels and the demons hated each other, mainly because of their differences. the angels believed that peace is the answer while the demons believed that dominance solves everything, and that's just one of the reasons. this unlikely love happened before; the angel girl and demon boy tried to keep it secret but they were caught and their punishment was getting beheaded in front of both sides. renjun and donghyuck remember witnessing that and didn't want to risk that happening to them.

their love is forbidden. they admit that they know this, but because of their undying love for each other and the last couple, they only see each other at night when the two sides are sleeping and where no one can catch them.

"i wish this would last," renjun said, breaking the peaceful silence.

"me too, " donghyuck sighed.

renjun gives donghyuck a small kiss on his head and wraps his arms around him with a smile on his face. donghyuck wraps his arms around renjun protectively. renjun looks up at him in worry.

"if they catch us one day, they have to get through me, and if i don't make it, you run. i'm not letting either of our sides hurt you and get away with it that easily. you are my number one. i love you so much and you mean the world to me," donghyuck said as he looked at renjun straight to his eyes and his hand forming a fist.

"i'm not letting them hurt you either. you are also my number one. you literally mean the world to me too despite our differences and this never-ending feud between our sides. i would never let you go," renjun said as he rubbed donghyuck's back in circles to calm him down and tears forming in his eyes.

donghyuck calmed down and sit up while renjun silently cried his heart out on haechan's pillow. donghyuck leaned over towards renjun and gave him a rub on his back and whispered sweet nothings in his ear. it only took a few minutes to calm him down.

"i hope things will change. i'm so sick and tired of this "never-ending" feud. we don't need to fight. why can't we just get along?" renjun asked in deep thought.

"i hope so too. never forget that i love you, no matter what happens, promise?" donghyuck asked as he pulled out his pinky finger at the angel.

"promise. i love you too," renjun said as he wraps his pinky finger on donghyuck's.

"i got to go. it was nice seeing you again. i don't want to disrupt your family's sleep." renjun said getting up from the protective demon, but the demon grabbed his wrist to stop him.

"no. stay." donghyuck begs.

"b-but we don't need to-"

"i promise to wake you up before they find out, just please stay until the morning, please?" donghyuck asked while begging.

"okay, promise you will?" renjun asks, smiling

"i promise," donghyuck says, smiling.

the angel lays back down on the demon's king-sized bed and wraps his arms around him. the demon did the same.

"goodnight, my love," the angel whispered.

"goodnight, my love," the demon whispered back.

"renjun," donghyuck whispered.

"hmm," renjun hummed.

"it's morning, you have to go!" donghyuck whispered.

renjun gasped, "oh my god! thanks for telling me!"

"i told you i would. see you tonight okay?" donghyuck asked.

"always," renjun answered with a genuine smile.

renjun grabbed his mask and the long black cape and put the hood on his head. he puts the mask on him and went towards donghyuck and gave him a kiss with all the love he had and sneakily left his room through his window.

as renjun flew, he thought about the time haechan and him first met.

renjun couldn't sleep due to stress so he decided to fly around the angel side to clear his mind. what he didn't notice was that as he was clearly trying to clear his mind, he unexpectedly left the angel side and into the forest path where it leads over to the demon side. he gasped as he realized what he was doing and landed on the ground.

"i can't believe i did that!" renjun whispered-yelled to himself.

when he said that, renjun heard leaves crunching on the ground and thought he was crazy, but he wasn't. he turned his head to where the noise was coming from and gasped again when he saw a demon from the other side. he had tanned skin and looked like a goth. the angel thought he was attractive for a demon.

"w-who are you?" renjun asked, stuttering.

"why do you need to know?" the demon boy asked, growling.

"i-i just-"

"just what? are you a spy? not on my watch!" the demon boy yelled as he walked closely towards renjun.

"n-no," renjun answered, stuttering and looking away.

the demon growled, "liar!"

he wanted to turn to his original form and attack the angel, but saw a tear flowing out of his eyes and a whimper and automatically felt bad.

"hey, don't cry, i-i didn't mean for it to go this far," the demon boy said in sorrow and regret.

"you were literally going to attack me," renjun pointed out.

"i know," the boy says in a very sad tone.

"so, um, what's your name?" renjun shyly asked.

"i'm donghyuck. you?" the demon boy now known as donghyuck asked after introducing himself.

"i'm renjun," renjun says, introducing himself.

"well, renjun, i'm very sorry for the way i acted. i wasn't in the best mood and this feud is going on. it's just a mess," donghyuck apologized.

"apology accepted. i thought you hated me because i'm an angel," renjun said, looking down at the ground.

donghyuck shook his head, "no, i was stressed."

renjun looked up at him, "oh my god, really?! same!"

both of them smiled at each other. they didn't think they would get along quickly because they're opposites, but they do say don't judge a book by its cover.

"well, see you soon, donghyuck," renjun says, waving at him.

"b-but we just met," donghyuck stuttered, grabbing renjun's hand.

"i know, but i'm kind of tired now," renjun says with a awkward laugh.

"oh, okay. see you later," donghyuck said with sorrow.

renjun felt bad, so he decided to stay on the path a little longer.

"maybe i can stay a little longer. besides, i do get bored anyways," renjun says.

haechan smiled, "yay!"

they talked until it was 6am. the two realized they had a lot in common and hoped to see each other again.

renjun blushed and smiled at the thought of the flashback as he took off his cape and change the color to white. he landed on top of his roof and successfully opened his window to his room. the angel hanged his cape and layed down on his bed with a satisfied smile.

renjun sighed to himself, "i love donghyuck."

the angel slowly closed his eyes and once again sighed and tried to sleep. he felt so lonely without donghyuck around. after about fifteen minutes, he fell asleep.

meanwhile donghyuck laid in his bed thinking of renjun. he couldn't sleep after waking renjun up so he thought of him. he even thought of what he said to him last night.

"if they catch us one day, they have to get through me, and if i don't make it, you run. i'm not letting either of our sides hurt you and getting away with it that easily. you are my number one. i love you so much and you mean the world to me."

the demon thought he was doing something right when he said that, and in fact he did. donghyuck wanted to protect renjun in any way he could because he loved him so much. he was taught that dominance was the answer to everything, but he didn't like it.

donggyuck just hoped that they don't get caught because they'll be in big trouble.

another night at donghyuck 's bed and it looks like the two don't really seem to care for the world right now. donghyuck's family were out of their home and the two finally got the chance to talk to each other without worry and sorrow.

"i cringed so hard today because one of the other angels kept waving their cat to everyone," renjun says, cringing.

"why is that? that's sounds odd but pretty normal," haechan said.

"you didn't let me finish! he kept meowing and acted like a cat himself! we have a wild side too you know?" renjun asked as he finished.

donghyuck laughed and renjun playfully hit him on his arm as he felt his cheeks heat up.

"you're so annoying! why am i even dating you again?" renjun asked again.

"because you love me," haechan answered without any hesitation.

"true," renjun agreed.

then a knock outside haechan's window and the demon boy immediately got up on his feet and pushed renjun right behind him. the angel boy silently panicked behind the demon boy.

"hide under the bed," donghyuck whispered.

renjun nodded and hid under the bed as donghyuck walked towards his window and moved his long, jet black, and silky curtains and opened his window: it was his neighbor, nixon.

haechan sighed, "what do you want, nixon?"

"i was just wondering how are you doing. also, i was wondering do you have someone else with you?" nixon asked in a weird way.

"uh, why?" donghyuck asked, a little creeped out and stepped back.

"because i heard another voice. donghyuck, you've been acting kinda strange these days. are you okay? in other words are you seeing someone?" nixon asked in a noisy tone.

when nixon asked that, donghyuck's breathe hitched and his blood ran cold. he has to come up with something fast or he's doomed. he doesn't want nixon to find out about renjun especially since he's an angel, nixon hated the angels with a passion.

"donghyuck, am i right or am i wrong?" nixon asked again.

"i mean, what makes you say that? are you seeing someone, nixon?" donghyuck asked, boldly.

now it was nixon's turn for his breathing to hitch. donghyuck evilly smirked at him in satisfaction.

"oh, so you are! what's her name?" haechan 'curiously' asked.

"l-lana," nixon stuttered.

donghyuck leaned towards nixon, "well, nixon, maybe you should worry about this lana girl more than what i'm doing. besides, it's none of your business anyways."

nixon nodded and flew away from donghyuck's window with a blushed look on his face. donghyuck quietly laughed to himself and shut his window and closed his curtains. he sighed and walked towards his bed.

"you can come out now," donghyuck said, smiling.

renjun happily sighed and got up from under the bed and hugged donghyuck like his life depended on it. donghyuck hugged him back and they both fell on donghyuck's bed giggling. donghyuck leaned over to renjun and kissed him on his lips through a smile. renjun kissed back and it quickly turned into a full make out session. they did this until they fell asleep.

the next night, renjun and donghyuck were in the same forest were they first met. the angel boy had a whole smile on his face while donghyuck kept a straight and unemotional one. renjun turned his head towards him and suddenly got worried.

"what's wrong, donghyuck?" renjun asked.

"renjun, i really hate to tell you this, but someone found out about us and now the both sides are after us," donghyuck said with a hint of growling.

renjun, surprisingly, wasn't in shock. he knew this would happen, but in the same time he didn't because the two kept their relationship hidden for so long they would have pulled it off.

renjun sighed, "are they really after us?"

suddenly, a huge light shined the both of them and donghyuck gently squeezed renjun's hand and growled. renjun whimpered and buried his head into donghyuck's chest.

"you're surrounded! end this relationship now or we'll end it for you," a guard threatened.

donghyuck immediately moved renjun right behind him in protection, "never! i am not letting you hurt him! not on my watch!"

"d-donghyuck, please!" renjun cowardly begged.

donghyuck turned to him, "renjun, remember what i said. if they catch us one day, they have to get through me-"

"i remember what you said, it's just that i love you so much and-"

renjun was cut off by donghyuck kissing him with all the love he has left to offer. they knew it was going to be their final time seeing each other and they were upset that it was, but the memories were always there.

"i love you too. i'll distract them while you run. listen to me when i say this, don't look back," donghyuck said in a serious tone.

renjun nodded and slowly started back away, "farewell, donghyuck."

"farewell, renjun," donghyuck said to renjun for the very last time.

donghyuck turned towards the guards of both sides and turned into his demon form. the guards started attacking donghyuck and were surprisingly winning. a few more guards were put in a cage while the rest of the guards tried to put donghyuck in that cage. after about six minutes, they succeeded.

renjun was running fast for his life. he already misses donghyuck and knew that the guards were after him next, he just didn't know when. all of the sudden the same light shined on him again and the angel boy panicked and ran even faster. to make things worse for him, a few guards were nearly right behind him and they were fast as him too. they caught renjun and pinned him down to the ground.

renjun screamed for his life until one of the guards covered his mouth with tape and carried him into a separate cage, ready for the next day.
