Progress update: our medical ticketing paper just got checked by our professorâand yes, the feedback came with corrections (as expected), but honestly? Weâre grateful for it. đ
This isnât just about getting it âright.â Itâs about making it better.
Our professor gave insightful comments that helped us see things from a clearer, more academic perspective. Some of our sections needed refinementâespecially in explaining the technical flow and aligning our solution with real-world hospital scenarios. There were suggestions to improve how we presented our diagrams, define key terms more precisely, and tighten up our review of related literature.

Blog#13: Creating the Logo for Our Medical Ticketing System
Every system needs a nameâbut more than that, it needs an identity. Today, we took a creative turn in our project journey and started working on the logo for our medical ticketing system. And let me tell youâit's more than just shapes and colors.
We wanted a design that captures the essence of what this system stands for: Efficiency â A digital system that speeds up patient flow Care â At the heart of healthcare is compassion Technology with a purpose â Not just modern, but meaningful
We explored ideas like:
A cross symbol, representing medical care
A ticket icon to highlight the queueing system
Clean, modern lines and soothing colors like blue and green for calmness and trust
Maybe even a subtle clock or heartbeat symbol to show the value of time and urgency in healthcare
Designing this logo is more than just a graphic task. Itâs about translating our vision into a visualâsomething people will remember, trust, and associate with better healthcare experiences.
It's still a work in progress, but just seeing the concept take form feels exciting. From research and diagrams to design and branding, this project is shaping up to be something truly meaningful. Canât wait to show the final version soon!

Blog#12: Revising Our Medical Ticketing Paper
The writing doesnât stop after the first draftâand honestly, this is where the real work begins. We're now in the revision stage of our paper on the medical ticketing system, and itâs a mix of refining, rethinking, and reconnecting with our purpose.
After laying down all our ideasâfrom the problems in manual ticketing to the proposed digital solutionâitâs time to polish every paragraph, strengthen our arguments, and make sure every section flows clearly and logically.

Blog#11: When I Miss the Mic: Reflecting on Todayâs Oral Recitation
Today was supposed to be the big oral recitationâModule 12 on Project Management (with the ever-detailed Gantt and PERT Charts in Appendix A & B), Module 11 on User Interface Design, and Module 10 on System Architecture. We were all set to discuss everything from Activity 3.3.6 on System Architecture to Activity 3.3.7 on GUI design, and even show our sample outputs for the user interface.
But sometimes, life hits pause. đ I couldnât make it todayâmy health just didnât cooperate. As much as I wanted to stand in front of the class and walk through the systems, charts, and interfaces weâve been working so hard on, I had to rest and prioritize healing.
Still, my mind was there.
Iâve been reviewing our work: đ Gantt and PERT charts that help visualize the flow of our project timeline and task dependencies. đ„ïž GUI samples that show how our system can be intuitive and user-friendly. đïž The backbone of it allâsystem architecture that supports everything weâre building.
Even though I wasnât physically present, Iâm proud of what weâve accomplished and what Iâll still be able to contribute once Iâm back. This journey isnât just about grades or presentationsâitâs about growing, adapting, and learning how to keep moving forward, even when life throws unexpected curveballs.

Blog#10: Holy Week at Home: Faith, Family, and the Beauty of Slowing Down
Thereâs something sacred about Holy Weekânot just in the solemn traditions or the quiet prayers, but in the time it gives us to reconnect. With God. With ourselves. And with the people who matter most.
This year, Holy Week reminded me that faith doesnât always have to be grand to be meaningful. Sometimes itâs in the little momentsâsharing a simple meal, praying together, watching a Holy Week reflection on TV, or just sitting in silence as the afternoon light filters in.
Spending time with family during this sacred season adds a depth to the journey. We remember the Last Supper together at the dinner table. We feel the weight of Good Friday in our quiet conversations. And on Easter, we share laughter, food, and the kind of joy that only comes after waiting through the dark.
Thereâs healing in this rhythm. Thereâs peace in being present. And thereâs grace in knowing that even in an imperfect world, we are surrounded by loveâdivine and human.

Blog#8: Crafting the Case Diagram for Our Medical Ticketing System
Lately, weâve been diving deep into systems design, and one of the key highlights this week? Creating our Use Case Diagram for the digital medical ticketing system.
If youâre not familiar, a use case diagram is like a visual map that shows how users (like patients, nurses, and doctors) interact with the system. It's a crucial part of the planning phaseâit helps us break down who does what, when, and how.
For our medical ticketing system, we identified several main actors:
đ§ââïž Patients â who request tickets and view their queue number
đ§ââïž Nurses â who assess patients and update their status
đ§âđŒ Admin Staff â who manage records and oversee the system
We outlined each actionâfrom ticket generation to queue updatesâand organized them into a clear structure. Itâs amazing how much clarity a simple diagram can bring. Seeing the flow on paper (or screen, rather) made it easier to pinpoint what features matter most and where potential issues might arise.
More than just a requirement, this step helped us see our system in motionâa sneak peek into how things would actually work once implemented. Itâs all coming together, one diagram at a time.
