Annette and Mercedes really had a slow burn... Hanneman successfully removed Lysithea’s crests and she became his apprentice! Ignatz ended up marrying Raphael’s sister! Felix and Leonie took over Jeralt’s mercenaries but after the war died down they ran out of work and ended up becoming street performers, lol. Sylvain and Ingrid got married and had a bunch of kids without crests and loved them all equally. Caspar and Linhardt went on adventures together! Dorothea moved to Brigid with Petra, and they totally got married. Hubert and Bernie got married and wear matching flower embroideries! Bernie became more outgoing! They’re also both married to Ferdie because I say so. And Byleth and Edelgard spent their lives reforming the class system but always found time to sneak off to be alone together. :)

Some solo endings! Alois retires to Remire with his family and takes up farming. Marianne becomes a skilled orator. Manuela never married, but no longer cared, and was happy teaching her students. Lorenz took up politics with a particular emphasis on making commoners lives better. Ashe became a great knight. Ferdie boy worked hard and earned himself that Prime Minister title that he just would’ve been born to inherit before. Shamir became a thief targeting those that prey on the innocent.

Edelgard asked Byleth to call her El ages ago, and she whips it out for the first time with the ring. That’s sweet. :)

But definitely the most disappointing thing is just relegating the fight against those who slither to this instead of actually getting to do it. I get that they probably didn’t want to have maps this late into the game that you couldn’t use Divine Pulse for, but I’d give up that safety net to see Edelgard get a chance to beat the shit out of uncle asshole in-game...

Honestly, the fact that there’s just this mural at the ending without any sort of wrap-up scenes after the cutscene is most definitely one of the weakest parts of this game so far.

Of course, with the crest stone gone, Byleth’s godly powers are gone as well... But who really needs them, anyway? Byleth is her own person now, with no godly expectations, and that’s beautiful. :) And she finally gets her real hair colour back, which is even better!

Oh dear... I think Byleth forgot to tell her that she didn’t have a heartbeat in the first place, lol. But she finally, genuinely cries. Considering what she said earlier, it’s been a very long time since she had an actual breakdown. Probably not since after the experiments. Which would make sense. Emotional detachment is like that. The fact that she’s now at a place where she can cry hits me in the heart in spite of the circumstances, hah.
