I think it’s kinda funny that, like, so much has changed between the Web-Series and TV Series versions of DHMIS. Between the episode length formats and slightly different thematic focus and tone and the different lore and setting and writing style, plus obviously the difference in production values and puppet designs. And yet, the One Thing that still remained consistent between those two worlds...

Is that ‘our’ Red Guy might seem like a deadpan snarky asshole but he’s a bundle of concentrated sunshine and whimsy compared to every other Red Guy out there.

Hey! I absolutely adore your red guy costume <3 it looks just like the show! How did you make it??

It's pretty easy, just tedious. I started by making a hat out of upholstery foam for the right shape, covered it in felt so it wouldn't be noticable. I haired it like a doll, doing it in staggered spirals and being careful with the roots. I measured my ideal length and used the yarn, making equal length wefts of four.

I would suggest gluing the eyes down first, just ping pong balls wrapped in more felt, before hairing. and be a bit more sparse in front of where your eyes go, cause its hard to see.

and the mask is just a red fabric mask with model magic teeth. the gums are pink puff paint, and the teeth got dry brushed with brown at the edges

If I had known anyone would ask, I would've tried to take more pictures, but I'll see if I can scrounge any up. thanks for asking.
