I absolutely loved these, especially Scott's one (I don't know how his nickname was both the first and the last thing I expected), but we oh so missed out on getting a John interview. Probably because they couldn't afford to pay Thomas Brodie-Sangster for anything more than the actual show recording, but still, wouldve been so cool.

FunKids Thunderbirds are go Podcast

I don’t know how many of you have seen this, but just before TAG’s season 3 started, some of the cast members did a podcast as their characters for what I think is a children’s radio station/website called Funkids. It’s a casual conversation with Scott, Alan (Rasmus Hardiker), Gordon, Virgil (David Menkin) and The Hood (Andres Williams).

So if you want to know Scott’s high school nickname or The Hood’s favorite animal, check it out!

Not only is Staraptor a fast bird Pokemon, but it's shiny has blue eyes like Scott, brown feathers like Scott's brown hair, and it's blue hair matches the sash of Scott's uniform. It's speed definitely makes Shiny Staraptor a perfect fit for Scott, since he flies the incredibly fast Thunderbird 1.

Update to my previous post, I sorted it out! The full thing isn't much better in terms of Scott's situation lmao! @squiddokiddo was definitely right, it makes total sense to be a green screen photo-op, despite how odd it looks from afar. Overall looks awesome though, I would have killed to go to the actual event, such a cool opportunity.

Had a dig through the official Thunderbirds socials, and came across this gem of a find:

Why on earth was everyone else given these epic poses, and poor Scott was just left hanging, literally! I think it was meant to be some kind of 360 view of a comic-con event, but it wasn't working out on my end, so all I got was this wonderful shot. I'll try a few things later, and see if I can get the full thing!

Been thinking about if Thunderbirds were to receive the live-action treatment again. Admittedly, the attempt to do it in 2004 didn't go well, but the 2015 CGI reboot proved that with better decision making by the higher-ups, a Thunderbirds reboot can work. Pinterest is such a treasure trove for random TAG finds. I'll think I've seen it all, then discover someone uploaded some random book from ages ago, and then spend my whole day looking for all the pages.

Look what the cat dragged in from Pinterest! I'd presume in the lead up to TAG there was intended quite a bit of background of Scott's guilt and eating himself alive over IR decisions that caused loss (fuelling sacrificial tendencies). "Past mistakes" feature in other complimentary materials too. And also maybe more "leadership" friction in the wake of loosing Dad than eventually made it on screen (as in "who died and left you in charge?"). The story eventually supports what fanon deduced early on - there's A LOT of lowkey Scott wrangling involved, because left to his own devices he's gonna run himself into a wall out of dedication to the IR cause.

Although he may or may not be responsible for a handful of deaths, I reckon being part of a literal world rescue organization makes up for it!

(I also think that picture you chose influenced the votes a bit, somehow he looks like some kind of meek sheep caught in the act of doing something he really shouldn't, despite being a puppet with literally only one facial expression.)

He must have gotten so bored spending his days locked up in 5, he jumped at the chance to do literally anything, without actually fully realizing what it was he did.

Oh my god, I hadn't noticed that! I don't remember seeing a panel explaining the sudden clothes swap, so I'm not sure if that was intended, but I certainly makes for some strange assumptions! Maybe he just decided he liked the color more, and took advantage of the situation to drip himself out in yellow!

I just want to reiterate what many other RP accounts and people in this fandom have said. Generative AI is not welcome in this community.

The fun comes from creating your own works, whether that be fanfics, art, or RPs. By using Gen AI you remove that fun, not only for yourself, but for everyone else in this community.

Gen AI also steals work from people, and with such a small fandom like the Thunderfam, it's likely stealing from people you know.

Furthermore, Gen AI is also really bad for the environment. The data centres use large amounts of water and electricity and require rare minerals, which are often mined unsustainably.

As both a writer and a geography student hoping to specialise in climate science, the increased use of AI in this fandom disappoints me, especially with the recent appearance of AI in the RP side of the fandom.

If you want to get involved in this fandom, please do. It's lovely seeing different opinions, different artists, and different writers. But please make your content yourself and without the use of generative AI.
