GOD i remember that one post that was like "you dont need to use agab to categorize everything just use the actual words that already categorize these things" and somebody responded with some shit about singing voices and op responded to all of the parts that mattered but it still pisses me off! the example that person used! "oh i headcanon the song your woman by white town as being about a trans woman" like HEADCANON? that is almost quite literally the actual words of the song!? thats not even a headcanon anymore its not subtext its literally just text!? im like 90% certain the only reason that white town did not explicitly say as much is because trans women were less recognized than lesbians in the 90s or whenever that song was released like this is less than a half step short of an outright creator-approved reading

we do need to revisit the wording of "you can't have your cake and eat it too" because i don't think it clearly enough conveys that it's more that you can't simultaneously retain a cake and also get to consume it (which would render you cakeless). for years i was like But why not....it's my cake....?
