These were my first attempts at creating a riso for my clock; I wasn't 100% sure about what I was doing but I experimented with some shapes. I originally wanted to do a print which sort of resembled a clock, but I ended up losing that work and felt a bit impatient trying to make it again, so I did another approach and just let the shapes flow freely.

Using illustrator is something that is still briefly new to me, so a lot of my work is a mixture of trial and errors and me just going with the flow; I meddled with the 3D effects a little bit for this and it was rather fun.

The outcome of this isn’t what I had originally imagined but it’s a slightly better than what I had planned from the beginning. I did want a more minimal look but then I also realized that doesn’t really fit in with my theme.

Some sample images for the "universal being" cap I tried to get creative and get some hanging images of the caps as well as some on a model.

I also had a go at some lifestyle shots of some of the products we were selling

As someone who usually just shoots in the moment, this was a bit different as it wasn’t something I usually do - take stock photos but it was quite easy, I just need more practice and to believe in my ideas

So these 4 clocks are the aftermath of me deciding not to make one whole clock (below)

I do plan to maybe finish it and try and make it a whole clock, but this seems a more easier option

I need to think of packaging

My experiments with some ticket invites; I stuck with the green as that was our main colour scheme, along with black and a few other colours.

I wanted to stick with the technical issue type theme as to why I made the background black and a lot of wavy lines, is my vision of the inside of the internet.

My inspiration came from the attached post; it wasn’t your usual type of ticket design, it’s very distinctive and sort of unique in each ticket. I wanted to do something similar but with less going on.

Moving forward I think I just should just think outside the box as I take things quite literally which hinders my progress

Using my polaroid instax 210 camera, I decided to take snaps of the class while working and just being themselves in the studio; giving the viewers an inside life of the studio. I took a variety of images and they're forever growing.

After more feedback, me and Peter were told that we needed to change "find your path" to "find your career pathway", to which at first we thought it wouldn't work, nor would it look good, but Peter managed to make it look pretty good

As a whole, I feel as though this project was a bit random, my initial thoughts to this weren’t positive as I thought it was a bit odd but I did some small sketches for this.

After we all presented individually, we heard feedback a few weeks later and were told that we were to work in groups on different sections; me and Peter were given the careers room to work on & all that was needed was to combine our ideas together, which is what Peter did & below is the final result for now.

A first final attempt at my clocks for the 502 collection

I named the clocks as a collection, The Whims, as a whim is something of a sudden desire of change of mind or something unusual; which is what my clocks are, you’re able to change the position of the clock as well as them all being different shapes.

The arms are 3D printed and I bought the mechanism via Etsy; I was originally going to choose a standard black clock mechanism but after feedback, I ordered some transparent pieces, which give the individual clocks a lovely finish.

I did want to make a stand for the clocks which I can still do despite the project being over & I need to make stronger arms.

The clocks was originally meant to be one whole clock but I figured it might be more appealing to have a few mini ones that can be placed anywhere.

My plan of action now is to finish the clocks and hopefully 3d print a stand which will be able to split into two (hang clock or stand clock)

Editing some photos for the women in photo open call. I'm using old photos for the theme of growth. Using my brother that I have luckily captured images of over the years, I should be able to submit these.

I decided to block out his eyes as a way to protect his identity now that he is older and his life choices aren't the best thus far.

My younger brother himself is the inspiration; he’s an interesting person through and through, he just doesn’t realize his potential.

I’ve been looking at BCU for university; I’ve missed the deadline to apply, mainly because I’ve been unsure as whether to do Photography or Graphics. I was also interested in the horology course as I am making a clock for my individual 502 piece, but I feel as though I’d be even more lost.

The only reason I’m stuck on what to do is because I don’t want to feel overwhelmed on a course and waste everybody’s time. I want to do photography as it’s something I’m used to and then I want to do graphics as I’m still learning.

It’s a tough decision, but either way I need to grind and show my potential

Smart packaging for walnuts

I added this as it was a smart way to get your product across. As they’re selling walnuts and they’re pretty popular amongst the squirrels and chipmunks alike. It almost makes the squirrel look like the mascot for the walnuts.

If I were to do something like this for my packaging I’d probably make it a little clock box, in the same shape of the clock

I liked and reposted this because I thought that the use of tools around you is a good way to save money and build things which is beneficial and ideal as a creator as it shows you can think outside the box - literally.
