Studies from Bridgman's *Heads, features, and faces". I've been working very specifically on the head in profile, and I think I've made significant progress. We'll see when I apply my study to actual subjects.

A little while ago, I bought an articulated skull model for the purpose of art study, but I've found the prospect pretty daunting. Last night, I took the leap and I think I did reasonably well for a first try. It's not rendered very well, and there's a lot of planes and slopes that make it difficult to perfect, but I think practice will yield results. There's also some Loomis head practice, because I struggle with keeping proportionate at different angles when not drawing from reference.

More botanical "dynamic sketch" studies. I struggle with giving structure to nearly flat objects, like petals or leaves. The bitter roots down at the bottom are near complete failures, as I was completely unable to capture the shallow cone of the petals.

Timed studies of the mouth. My lips in profile, especially, need a lot of work.
