Hooligan Destiny

My first exposure to Bruno was watching B.O.B Nothin On You. I thought, “cool ass band, I like it”. Then I saw him on Travie McCoy Billionaire and thought, “the band broke up, that sucks”. I later came to the knowledge that Bruno was a solo artist featuring on their songs. Cool beans.

My first time hearing Grenade, I was like “he stupid cause ain’t no way I’m catching anything for anyone”. I honestly thought it was the stupidest song ever but couldn’t get it out of my head. There were several other songs of Bruno’s that I had a similar response to. The Lazy Song, Locked Out Of Heaven to name a few.

Although I thought the songs were dumb and meaningless, I could not stop singing them or humming them. Then I heard When I Was Your Man and that was it. That was the song that made me stop low key hating on Bruno and accept the fact that I’m a fan, I’m a Hooligan.

Funny thing is, I now love Grenade and LOOH.
