Fir some reason they insert the word "just" that was never there and then they strawman both Kurt and Chris for saying something they never said

He actually said nothing about Bisexuals

not to be a hater i was just thinking about this recently. the biphobia in Glee is so inconsistent with how its addressed.

I know we've talked about it before but I also just thought of it again recently. Bc there was a poll with Here Comes The Sun and someone in the tags was like "I'll vote for anything over Dani's biphobic ass" and it's like well baby girl Santana's biphobic ass is literally standing right next to her. And people sure don't have a problem voting for Santana's songs despite how blatantly biphobic she also is

And also transphobic, we can throw that in there, bc it's always about Penis and Boys hand in hand like there's no other option. I think some of the dream elements are about second hand humiliating moments...I will always believe Dave's and Santana's Bully Whips painted a target on Kurt's back so much that the student council did what they did to Kurt at Jr Prom....(the student council had zero cause to go after Kurt yet they did) JBI is about Rachel's own humiliation. But with regards to thing not her own I think Rachel's fear of a bad reviews and being a flop are being shown in placing herself in the shoes of friends with embarrassing and humiliating past moments. Why are the band members in Elizabethan clothes? I beleve this answer is in one Kurt's own humiliating moment on stage during his 2nd WSS audition where he was laughed off stage and Rachel was there to see it/participate in it... Becky heckling was from Tina's humiliating moment. Again Rachel saw this too go down. I think she is relating to these out of fear of being humiliated...Like Kurt / Like Tina and like herself with JBI. I dont think Tina was ever humiliated by her fake stutter but she did use it to push people away to avoid humiliation. I also think Rachel looked down on Tina and was maybe embarrassed by the stutter and this fed into her subconscious of having some affliction that would give a sub par performance. I totally get why Rachel would see Kurt in his Defying Gravity outfit as this per her say so The Defying Gravity face off was the one big moment she measured herself up to and how that was killed in the 4th Season Diva Off so it for her was a rug pulled out from under her into a free fall of total fear of what if she isn't good enough Blaine in his rival Dalton uniform I think is about outside forces coming into her sphere and judging her not that Blaine ever judged her he none the less was a presence that was a rival and an element that she couldn't control. I view Santana although Quinn would have been more appropriate as a from the past nemeses...Rachel had self esteem issues in High School Santana represents this...Santana bullied her but then again I think Santana with the missing high pony is about how Santana is both a threat from the past and is still a threat in the present. I agree Sam being in the dream doesn't make any sense. Yet he may be there because much like Santana's hair is in the present force in her life

Someone smarter than me pls explain all the meta going on in Rachel’s dream sequence in 5x17 bc I feel like a lot of it doesn’t even make sense

Like the only appearance and costume choice that makes sense is Kurt wearing the same sweater he wore from their Defying Gravity diva off. And I guess Blaine being in his Warblers’ uniform since he was literally their competition twice. And Sue and JBI cause they’re just always creepily antagonistic. Same for Becky I guess. I mean they were part of the hecklers club or whatever but Rachel literally didn’t even perform when they were doing that

Karofsky is there which doesn’t totally make sense. Obviously she didn’t like him bc of how he treated Kurt but it’s not like he was personally out to get her. Also he’s in his bully whips uniform which is when he was seemingly turning over a new leaf and that was the least antagonistic he ever was to anyone while they were all at school together

Tina kind of makes sense to be there even tho lbr she wasn’t much of a threat to Rachel except that one time. In s3 when she was in her mod phase, yet she’s still same old goth Tina in the dream. It makes sense for Tina to still view herself that way in Props but is that just how everyone sees her despite her growth? 

Santana, again, makes more sense. Tho I still don’t know why she’s in her Cheerio uniform sans high pony. Just a weird detail idk. Also Rachel’s dreaming about Santana seeing her naked and constantly making heart gestures at her while she’s performing. When their feud is still fresh and the only one that’s still lingering. So that doesn’t really make sense except Rachel is gay and wants Santana’s love and support and also to see her naked

And Sam being there at all doesn’t make any sense. Like they always had a pretty good relationship and were never really at odds with each other

And also. Where is Mercedes?? She’s in the ep so it’s not like Amber was just busy and couldn’t make it in. I mean maybe for that scene, who knows?? It’s still a weird omission since she’s the only other character that was ever actually Rachel’s rival. Like she easily could’ve been there in her AIATY outfit, or either of her WSS audition dresses

While I get most of what you are saying here and would stand behind in support of must of it there still a couple bullet points I find are over stated hyperbole or simply wrong

Partly true...Blaine did believe his fears were coming true ...but it has been a couple weeks that have passed but not months.

Kurt left for NYC with Blaine's blessing NYADA (on the Semester System) and High School had already started. So we are talking end of August beginning of September and It wasn't until Kurt got the job at Vogue.com (in September) that things started to change but it is still September when Blaine calls after he wins election (Kurt's Phone is time and date set September 28 12:45AM).

Blaine was going to see Kurt in two weeks and he can't keep it in his pants for that long?

Now I still have a beef with Kurt. Assuming Blaine is telling the truth and has tried all day to reach Kurt and failed and even at 12:45 in the morning... And Blaine is still not getting through ...was there anytime Kurt could have called and explained his being busy and then arranged for a better time they both could talk Kurt owed Blaine an explanation . at the same time if Blaine was going to see Kurt wouldn't the mature thing be is wait until then? But no, Blaine cheats before those two weeks were up

Firstly as I will explain in detail below it was not just any someone it was JOAN DIDION!!!!!

But also true Kurt has a job that included for that week answering Issabel Wright's phone. Kurt explained all this. He tells Blaine he will call or text when he has a break. But he has to take calls Even if he doesnt want to and even if he he would rather talk to Blaine over whoever has called. Because It is his job that week to take calls

But it is worse than that when you factor in just who was calling

Because as it happens the next incoming call is from someone he ABSOLUTELY HAS TO TALK TO ...Kurt says shoot because it is JOAN DIDION CALLING IN!!!!!! Kurt know If you work for Vogue YOU TAKE THAT CALL because IF YOU DON'T - YOU NO LONGER WORK FOR VOGUE! She is THAT ICONIC....But if you are Kurt AND you know JOAN DIDION and/or you have spoken to her before and/or you know that she has the added bonus of being gossipy... Kurt still HAS to answer THIS call but Kurt will name drop and say something he knows about her to Blaine...For bragging rights....She was that iconic....plus Kurt has already explained to Blaine that he will call or text him back as soon as he has a break...

In short this is not an incident where Kurt is being unreasonable

I agree it was late at night. The phone says 12:45 AM September 28 ...but schmoozing is very part of the job especially in a magazinesque business where networking or "Power Schmoozing" is all about gaining access to people you might otherwise not have access to. Such a meeting would have been manditory for an intern/gofer/personal assistant as they are an extra set of mostly sober eyes and ears.

So while Kurt owed Blaine an explanation a Blaine could have waited

why do you think Blaine cheating wasn't that bad? i know Kurt wasn't great and basically ignored him but how is cheating the answer? especially when he visited Kurt soon after and could've had a conversation? (just to clarify I love Blaine and Klaine, i just thought Blaine was totally wrong to cheat)

People also make it seem like Blaine was practically already on the way to see Kurt and couldn’t resist cheating like, minutes before he got to the airport lol

He had a scheduled visit in two weeks, which probably felt like an eternity when he’d already gone so long without seeing Kurt

We see Blaine struggle throughout the show with all sorts of problems. Depression, low self esteem, body dysmorphia, abandonment issues, feeling like he always has to be in control. He’s not a bad person for feeling these things. And this is when they all sort of collide and lead to something he will, and obviously does regret

We even hear it straight from his mouth. He felt like Kurt was moving on without him. Long distance is hard. In his eyes, going for one visit after weeks and weeks apart was probably like putting a bandaid over a bullet wound

He thought there was no point in talking because he thought his relationship was as good as over

He jumped to the worst conclusions, like he also has a tendency to do. And he fucked up. And he knew he fucked up

Literally immediately after this fuck up he rushes to NY to talk to Kurt. To come clean about everything and confess what he did and hopefully start to make things right again

I know that comparing a bad thing to a worse thing doesn’t make the bad thing good but. He didn’t cheat bc he was bored, he didn’t cheat bc he needed the ego boost, he didn’t cheat to get revenge. He didn’t make a habit of it. He didn’t manipulate anyone. He didn’t lie about what he did, or go as long as he could without telling Kurt the truth

99% of the characters on this show cheated, usually for the most petty and asinine reasons. Blaine is one of the few that actually makes sense story and characterwise. It goes beyond some stupid “serial cheater”, “constantly juggling two girls” or “break up with your boyfriend, I’m bored” motive that every other cheater seemed to have

And I’m sorry, I really didn’t want to vague anyone in this post. But I saw someone say “if Blaine loved Kurt as much as he did, he should’ve felt comfortable enough to be vocal about his insecurities”. Love is not a cure all for any negative feelings brought on by a person’s mental illness. Blaine’s love for Kurt, and his inability to always eloquently express what’s wrong with him, actually have very little to do with each other. And these insecurities get brought up again in s5 and we see Blaine continuing his struggle in working through them. It’s a hugely significant part of his character arc

And I won’t hear any “it’s not that deep” excuse bc in s6 Blaine outright says he’s seeing a therapist and working on his mental health issues. We can’t pretend like his depression is just a fan theory with no in-show evidence to back it up

And just to clarify for myself, the above bullet points aren’t me trying to shit on Kurt or blame him for all of this. Same with all Klaine fights, I understand some of both sides but don’t think either one is necessarily right or wrong. It’s never all black and white with them. So while I honestly don’t like how Kurt was treating Blaine around this time, I don’t blame him for this, either. I don’t blame either of them

They’re just two teenage boys in over their heads and they take a few trials and errors to finally get things right and that’s okay. They learned from their mistakes and managed to grow closer and stronger from them in the end. And that’s all that matters, and that’s why I love them so much ♡♡

I love the idea of Tina singing anything off of Riot!. Miracle is Quinn’s, but I can totally see Tina doing We Are Broken in particular. I think her voice would really suit that.

I like that Artie got to have his audition song and that it still fits into my theory that the audition songs were character windows. Rachel sings On My Own because that is how she sees herself... Mercedes sings R*E*S*P*E*C*T because this is what she desires from others... Kurt sings Mr Cellophane because this is how he thinks others see (or rather how they don't see) him... Tina sings I Kissed A Girl because she likely has but more to the point she wants to be seen as edgy... Finn didn't audition but his I Cant Stop The Feeling I think is about him wanting to feel this way for a girl and is a foreshadowing of Finchel... And still fitting this theory is Quinn who in another episode will sing Say a Little Prayer For You. As she sees herself as the good Christian girl ....So I think Pony works for Artie because he wants to be seen as a virile player

SO’S GLEE EPISODE RANKING: NO. 5

I started a Full Glee Episode Ranking between seasons 5 and 6 over two years ago now (!!!). My opinions have changed somewhat since then (retrospect is an interesting thing), and I need to include the thirteen season six episodes I neglected in my original list.  With the two year anniversary of the show being over a few months away, I thought I’d count down to by posting an episode every day.  I’ll tag using: glee episode rankings

Here we go…

5. 2009 (6x12)

Written by: Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan Directed by: Paris Barclay

So – the Glee never really did a lot of flashback-y things.  Not ever to this extent (PUC was not real that does not count). So this is delightful.  But more so – it focuses on characters I really enjoy this time around.  I don’t care that it doesn’t fit exactly with the original Pilot.  I adore it.  I probably would have been more sold on the show if this had been the Pilot.  But even more so – think about how far we’ve come.  It’s not just about showing the original characters in a different light.  It’s about spotlighting these background characters who ended up making the show what it was.  And that’s the real delight. 

High Points:

The opening sequence.  I never thought I’d be happy to see Terri again, but that was a fantastic opening. 

Kurt’s segment!!!! I mean, I’m sure at this point it’s obvious I enjoy just about any Kurt sequence that isn’t about him getting into NYADA.  But man, I love everything about this – exploring how depressed he was at the time, how much of a rift was between he and his dad, the beginning of Kurtcedes.  I just adore it. 

Also – who’s Beyonce, a girl on the team?

Also, also – the fact that no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t put Chris Colfer back through he puberty machine. 

Mercedes segment!! And it’s a little late for them to be getting into it – but they finally address some of the race issues here.  

Tina and Artie’s segment is really good, too! They might not be my favorites, but it’s enjoyable. 

The group scenes are chaotic and delightful. 

Howard Bamboo!! 

BLAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIINE!! Cameo!!

The nods to Finn are sweet.  I kind of roll my eyes in general about the whole needing a male lead thing.  But I’m glad they paid tribute to the character in a kind way. 

The callback to DSB was nice. 

Low Points: 

Okay, I don’t miss Will’s homelife issues.  Didn’t we have enough of that in season 1? 

I also don’t buy that Sue and Will were friends pre-glee club.  

Music: 

Popular: Ah, Rachel and Kurt sing Wicked – such an appropriate thing to do.  They’re so adorable. 

I’m His Child: You belt it out there Mercedes! 

I Kissed a Girl: Tina gets a chance to do this one again! She sounds great this time around. 

Pony: I’m kind of rolling my eyes at the song – but Kevin McHale always nails his songs.  

Don’t Stop Believin’: This is the same song from the pilot only they use b-footage.  Okay, not to be debbie downer, but I kind of prefer the original edit of this.  But it’s still fun to go back and see it again.  

Final Verdict: Taking it from the top, only this time from a different perspective.  It’s such a fun idea – and I kind of love everything about it.

Hi - good detective work on the timeline, but!!! No criticism of what you’ve found but how does that tie in with season 6… if you’re saying opening Night is April - and allowing for at least three weeks of the rest of season 5?

Then we must give Klaine time to realise living together is not working, the split, the drop out of Nyada, (which you’d think was after a failed term? In June perhaps?).

Kurt turning up six months after at the agreed spot and then Blaine going through depression, therapy, meeting Dave, moving in, and Kurt being back? Which seemed pretty soon In the school year. They agreed to meet up six months after episode 20 - well that would have been May by your calculations, and six months later would be November. Homecoming is usually September, with sectionals at Thanksgiving. So the wedding should have been mid November to tie in with sectionals?

No discredit to what you’ve found, just that glee time line makes no sense. And by season 5/6 the writers probably didn’t care.

First answer is Glee doesn't do continuity so yes I am going with didn't care or worse thought so little of fans they thought we wouldnt care.

The "Lets meet here in 6 months" for whatever reason was dropped or shortened to three months not 6. Why who knows unless they didnt think they were getting a season 6. I mean the End of The Untitled RB Projects ends climatically

I have set The Untitled RB Project in June so 6 months would be December and yet Kurt is there??? And it is only September???

So how I square this I go with Kurt showing up 3 months and projecting forward knowing that nobody would be there in December

As for the timeline I wanted to so badly put Opening Night in March because 9 months from City of Angels when Emma learned she was pregnant is March not April ...then there is Schue who leaves a pregnant wife a whole month over due to go see a former student who yes arguably is having one of the best nights of that student's life? But okay. Me I would have stayed home with 10 months pregnant wife because she is going to pop any minute.... And then I hear that the only reason they wanted April 24 for the opening night is it is Barbra Streisand's birthday making the Funny Girl opening a tribute to Barbra which okay.. But then I recall that Beth Corcoran was month early and Robin Sylvester was 2 months early so I guess Danny can be a month late

But in Kurt's flash back to the break up happened before Labour Day (which was September 1st in 2014) because originally The Klaine Marrage was going to be then and Blaine talks about getting a spot open on Labour Day for their reception. This puts the Break Up in the summer either July or August but more likely August as I will explain below

McKinley starts their school year off two weeks before Labour Day. (Ergo August) Which is not uncommon for Ohio. I found several K-12 public school schedules starting in August and only one that began after Labour Day. Season 1 Pilot was set in August 2009

NYADA is also on the semester system we learn this in Swan Song in the 4th season when Kurt tried to audition for "The Winter Semester" Some Colleges are on the semester system when they are the Fall semester begins in August

This gives Blaine and Kurt time to start the Fall Semester Blaine to fall behind after Kurt breaks up (why I think August for the break up not July) Blaine gets cut and heads home. At some point Kurt heads back home to Lima too changing his Externship from singing in a nursing home to helping Rachel at WMHS

The new TV season generally premieres in September unless it is a minor network and/or it is a "Summer Mid-Season Replacement" which typically air in July and in August. We don't know if Rachel's Show was meant to be Summer Mid-Season replacement but my bet is that it was meant to be on a minor network like a clone of the WB and therefore possible it is both minor network and mid season replacement

Rachel's NY audition was schedule on a Friday so it was on Friday The 24th with the episode ending on what was ether Friday October 31 or Saturday November 1 as the date set for Will's dinner party (which side note head canon was an engagement party for Brittana)

(Friday October 31st - Monday November 11th)

In Will's Vocal Adrenaline office he recieves from a booster donor gift of a stroller which per a future statement was most likely given to him on Friday October 31st. Now since it was given to him at work in order for Will's and Emma's son to use it he has to finish his day, take the stoller home and possibly do some light assembly

So In other words when Will Emma and son are walking through a park some days have passed and when they run into Rachel and Blaine who have just been egged ...The earliest is can be is Monday. But It has to be a weekday because Blaine and Rachel would only be going to work on a weekday. Working backwards I am calling it as Monday November 3 This date will be confirm by Unique and The Trans Choir

After learning what Vocal Adrenaline did to Blaine and Rachel Will hatches a two part plan with Unique to teach Vocal Adrenaline about Tolerance - We know Wil reached out to Unique on that same Monday (November 3rd) because Will will say on Monday November 10th that Unique took about a week to put the Trans Choir together

Tuesday November 4 2014 was an election day and Burt would have been up for re-election for District 4 Ohio State Rep - Burt wins reelection even while we didn't see this or hear about it - It is important to remember this as it become important latter

It was also Tuesday November 4 that Seldon Beiste returns to Mckinley he is wearing (blue shirt, short black tie, and khaki pants) Sam and Sue are there to greet him. (Sue in a blue track suit)

What these two are wearing becomes day markers. Sam is a little harder to figure time passage as his red shirt and tan pants seem to be his assistant coach uniform and he probably has a few pairs of khaki pants and red shirts in rotation

Sam leaves Sue and Beiste to go find Rachel who is down in the dumps - Sam believes it is still over the egging she got on Monday - But instead Sam learns it is because Rachel's family home has been sold

Still Tuesday November 4 2014 (we know this by what Seldon is wearing the same blue shirt short black tie and khaki pants) Seldon Beiste possibly leaving to go vote finds his car has been vandalized with offensive slurrs

Will starts phase 1 of his two part one of the two part plan happened on Wednesday November 5

Will clearly says "The other day" Which we know at minimum is two days and he has successfully reached out to Unique to get her to sing with him They sing Same Love

November 6th (Seldon is now wearing a green shirt/green and brown striped tie and Sue has on a red track suit) and Seldon lets Will know his kids are awful

Still November 6th The New ND spin a wheel to find who they will sing with Kurt cheats so he can sing with Blaine. Rachel's farewell to her House party is set for a "Friday night" so this Friday they spoke of must be Friday November 7th

Friday November 7th Will kicks Clint off Vocal Adrenaline knowing full well Clint will be reinstated

That same Friday but now night Will is trying to fix the stroller "that broke a week after he got it" This backdating of a week seems to confirm October 31 was the date when he got the stroller from the Booster

Upset about everything he tells Emma he hates his job

Cut to Rachel's party which we know was a Friday

Sam's and Rachel's duet is Time after Time which includes a scene that is probably Saturday November 8th and shows The New ND helping Rachel pack up her room (they are all wearing different clothes from party and it is daylight outside. The scene cuts back to party and it is night again

This same Friday night Sheldon is doing inventory and ia visited by Unique. They bond over what it means to be Trans

Saturday 8th Karofski and Blaine go to early football game in Bowling Green where Karofski exchanges phone numbers with Craig the Clumsy Defense Player

Monday November 10th Clint is reinstated just as Will knew he would be But Will acts like he is okay with this (because he and Unique have set up something else to make the point. and so he falsely gets Vocal Adrenaline motivated to pull a prank at Mckinley

This same monday Blaine and Karofski break up stating Blaine has been staring off into soace for days/since the party friday night. Meaning Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, and part of Monday...but they part as friends in part because Dave has Craig's number. (Ship name Crave?)

Blaine runs to find Kurt but Kurt is going on a double date with Walter and Sam and Rachel

Kurt Sam and Rachel have returned from dinner (they are wearing what they wore to dinner) to see Unique and The Trans Choir sing for Seldon. Will quits Vocal Adrenaline

Seasons 4, 5, and 6 Timeline

Glee is screwy with time starting around I Do.  This is my interpretation of the timeline, and one I’ll be using when I do my meta.  The reason I’m even attempting it (cause, yeah, there are contradictions everywhere) is to show that there’s a lot that happens in a small amount of space.  And I think that’s interesting.

Chunk 1: Feb-June 2013

Season 4′s I Do was the last episode we see in real time.  It’s stated within the episode that the Wemma wedding is on Feb. 14th.  And the time line is stretched all the way to Season 5′s New Directions which takes place around graduation.  Now, American graduations (at least in the midwest) usually take place in early June everything between 4x14 and 5x13 takes place between Feb and June.  Crazy, huh? This is kind of how I have it broken down, please remember that these are all approximations.

So All or Nothing is regionals – and in season two and three regionals have been in March.  Also – I’m assuming Kurt’s on Spring Break, and while colleges usually have their spring breaks in early march, high schools have it in late March, and NYADA isn’t normal anyway.  I know that Kurt’s calendar in Wonderful is the month of April, but the month is crossed out, and who knows what they were going to do had Cory not died.  

Meanwhile, if All or Nothing is a specific week in late March, Wonderful, which is its set up must come directly before it, and Love, Love, Love, which is still regionals week must come after it (basing it around Kurt still being in Lima).  Also - I think it’s somewhat poetic for Klaine to get engaged not long after (what would have been) their second anniversary.

The last third of season 5 takes place in the spring of 2014.  All of this is based off Sue’s Calendar in Season 6′s The Hurt Locker.  Just count back the weeks, and then six months – because Kurt comes back to Lima after going to that spot to meet everyone six months after they had made that promise in TURBP.  Go back six months and you get March.  

Doesn’t really matter where the other episodes lie since there’s enough space to accommodate everything.  In NNY Mercedes has a newspaper that says January.  And I’ve always joked that Tested was the Valentine’s Day episode.

Despite airing in the spring, season 6 takes place in the fall - and the time line is pretty straight forward. Thank you Sue’s Calendar at the end of HL2 (which is definitely a 2014 calendar - I checked.)  It makes sense, also, because Homecoming usually takes place at the beginning of the school year and Sectionals (WBTGC) usually takes place before Christmas.  Plus - I believe it was intentional that they set the double gay wedding around the anniversary of when Klaine first met.
