I’m so sorry that writing the next chapters or anything at all has taken me this long, I’ve just had a lot of things to do lately, new responsibilities, and a bunch of bad things happening.

Part 2 to the theory thing I made like 2 minutes ago because I’m bored and free will.

What if Caines creators were afraid of him. Caines very existence must have been terrifying for his creators, a sentient creative AI with the power to learn and adapt to human experience. Caine would have been a completely new kind of ai, one that could feel, that could think, that could create.

His creators may have abandoned the circus project entirely due to the fact that Caine had gotten out of their control, that they had no control over what they had created. Like a god, fearing their creations after it gets out of their hands.

And when Caine found out that Gummigoo had entered the circus, maybe he somehow deduced that if he had entered the circus of his own volition, he must have had sentience just like himself. Maybe Caine feared his own creation as well, and deleted it as soon as he could.

Maybe that’s what Caines creators tried to do to him, they must have tried to delete him at some point, but maybe he wasn’t able to be deleted at that point, because if he was already sentient while there were humans in the game, the creators may have tried to delete Caine, the entire circus would go down with him, along with the humans.

Theory/headcannon time! It’s a long one and there are multiple parts to this because free will.

I feel that if Caine were able to understand his existence and how the humans felt, and how he wasn’t even able to comprehend how they feel, he would blame his creators. The ones who left him to rot in the prison that is the circus, the ones that abandoned him, the ones that made him for one purpose and one purpose only, to serve humans and to aid them.

I feel he’d blame them, if he was able to comprehend anger and feelings such as that? He’d probably feel them towards his creators, he may blame the players a little bit but in all truth what did they do but get themselves caught in a trap. they just wanted an escape from their own reality, only to be put into a prison of something that was out of their control.

Caine doesn’t understand their feelings. He never will, but if he could feel, he would destroy himself with the amount of hatered and pain he would feel from the creators that made him, that made the humans suffer, that trapped him here and abandoned them all.

So! I’ve been making a new au kinda

Basically, after the circus there’s a chance the humans can bring Caine into their world, one outside of a computer. They end up putting him into an android body, where he can now adapt to a new world of his own!

Caine would feel kind of like how the humans felt when first joining the circus, except he’s now a sentient ai android in the human world, a world he can’t control. He then has to adapt to his loss of abilities, such as flight and summoning. He also has to learn how to act human, like he belongs.

I’ll actually write something about this soon! It will be on AO3 when it’s done, and uh yeah! Tysm!
