i will always forever elaborate on hal's weird web of tapped devices and neuron-like signal orbs. yeah AR can technically see a ton of shit simultaneously, but its not like she OWNS the system despite her setting it up. it was going to exist in the first place because people like staying connected to each other through devices, but by being aware of them, she's able to access them.

however that doesn't mean she can manipulate data that may come with the device, it's like when she told jane to not follow the fucking bunny but he did anyway. the greater plot decided jane Should be on derse, even if ar didn't want him there. hypothetically if ar sooomehow was able to convince some blue-ish entity to keep from the red miles from furthering the plot (like getting dirk to knock DD out before he put on the ring), then ar would have higher control of the plot. but ar isn't really into that cause she's done living vicariously through other people, she just likes knowing things then frolics in the hal fields.

she absolutely weaponizes it to terrorize dirk though #priorities.

hal cant access skaianet databases but has a sneaking suspicion they’re ripping off her lines of code. jade and jake refuse to comment.

you can easily access hal’s “infinite” library of babel if you get a hold of one of the signal orbs and use an adaptor of some kind to plug it into a computer but they send you a text to please stop doing that because its really uncomfortable. she tries coating them in black paint for a bit to make it harder to scry, but you can just scratch it off so she doesn’t bother anymore. its not really in a format for consumption because all the data is in binary but if you made a program to translate then it would work.

but because skaianet tech computers are infinitely more powerful and its interface is more user friendly, people dont really go through the trouble.
