âOshĂn!â Dottie said with relief. Reaching with trembling hands to take him from Babs. She began to cry. âOh, youâve gotten so bigâŚâ
The kitten had grown a little while staying with Babs.
There's two knocks in the door. She could easily enter, Dottie has gave her a copy of the keys. But she preffers to just knock.
"Dottie! Its me, Barbara! I brought food and my bundle of sunshine is with a babysitter so we talk freely"
She says while she waits for her. That babysitter was certain man she had to pick up from the hospital because of a broken arm. But who counts it? She's just there.
( @babsggordon )
Distantly a familiar voice called âcoming!â
After many sounds of different locks sliding or clicking open, the door opened.
And there stood Dottie. Wearing her brightest colour clothes. She looked pale from lack of sunlight and her hair was a tangled mess, in a bun atop her head. Glasses missing.
âBarbie!â she said eagerly.

Some fun lore about Spotted Dick aka the Dottie / Dick ship with specifically @officialnightwing
Dottie calls him âBirdieâ as an affectionate nickname. This is not just a reference to Robin/Nightwing!
Itâs also a kind of light used in theatre!
A birdie is a type of miniature lantern thatâs ideal for hiding in small parts of a set or along the downstage edge of the stage. It provides a surprisingly bright soft-edged pool of light. Although the beam is sometimes unevenly spread, the benefits of having a punch of light where no normal lantern can go are massive. (Source)
Dottie calls him that because heâs the light of her life.

âThey broke,â she replied. âIâm working on ordering a new pair, but itâs hard when I canât leave the house.â
She gestured to her ankle, where a square clunky tracking device was cuffed. House arrest.
âHow are you? How is Sebas? Whereâs OshĂn?â She asked in rapid succession. Bringing Babs inside.
There's two knocks in the door. She could easily enter, Dottie has gave her a copy of the keys. But she preffers to just knock.

âYou canât break me out of Arkham,â she said softly. âSomeone worse could slip out at the same time.â
She took a deep breath. âTake the time you need to, IâllâŚâ She couldnât promise to be strong. âIâll live.â
"I'm here to see a patient"
Barbara said to the guard showing a fake badge that was imitating one of the GPCDs. She chose that one instead of the psychiatrist one because with a simple printed order she could get exactly were she wanted. To Dottie.
She walked through the halls with a feeling of foreboding, being directed by a nurse who took her to a visitors' room where they made her wait until the "patient" was called.
Not her first time visiting Arkham, but it was a first time entering as civil. Back when she was Batgirl she used to break in to do interviews. And now, as a visitor it gave a whole new feeling of weirdness and unwellness.
No wonder why everyone scapes as sane as they entered.
( @babsggordon )
Dottie was escorted into the room. Dressed in the black-and-white striped prison scrubs. Hair a mess. Looking pale and haunted.
ââŚofficer,â she greeted Babs, since she had pretended to be part of the police. She glanced at the guards â they were being listened to.
