On 21/11/2020 in France, black music producer, named Michel, was violently attacked and beaten by police in his own recording studio. He was punched, kicked, hit with batons, and had racist slurs screamed at him.
When the other artists in the recording studio came to help him, the police retaliated by calling reinforcements and throwing a tear gas canister through the window. Michel was then beaten again, and he and 9 others were arrested. They were held for 48 hours. Michel was only allowed to receive medical attention after those 48 hours,
The police lied about Michel trying to hit them, they lied about him dragging them into the studio when they were the ones who forced entry.
The only reason this was found out is because these cops were filmed. This is why they want to make filming police illegal, or at least incredibly difficult. It’s so they can get away with acts of cruelty like this.
HERE is a video of the scene (video is graphic, and audio is in French)
