Anon, you are part of the problem. You read @chubstilinski 's fic and liked it, so why not tell HER about it? As far as I know, you didn't give HER any feedback about it? She has blessed this fandom with her chub lady content and gotten almost nothing for it. Chubby ladies fic gets a fraction of the fraction of feedback even chubby guys fic gets, so how do you think it makes her feel to see you whining about the lack of it to someone else when you've given her absolutely no thanks for her efforts? THIS is why we can't have nice things. Feedback matters.

I just read some of chubstilinskis allydia stuff and im not a teen wolf fan but hot damn i actually,,, was aroused by a piece of fiction for the first time ever. why is there such a shortage of lesbian dumpster stuff?? :(

Oh, kiddo, there’s probably a ton of reasons for that sad truth.  I think it’s a combination of things, like:

1.  Systemic misogyny in media – we get a lot more exciting main characters that are dudes, so we end up writing about those heroes rather than the women around them.

2.  Fic is often written by women, and those women are often either straight (and interested in seeing two dudes doing it), or they are queer but like the distance that writing about two dudes offers them.

3.  Lesbophobia and the erasure of queer women.  Shit is real.

4.  We are trash humans who want to get as much attention as possible for our fics, and writing about dudes automatically raises the old kudos/comments counter.

5.  It’s weird, because I actually prefer female weight gain, just in terms of desire.  My YouTube subs skew heavily toward the ladies.  That’s not reflected in the fic I write, though.  I know for me personally, one factor is that it’s easier for me to write about dudes sometimes because writing about women and weight gain can lead me into some pretty thorny places.  I’m not suggesting that men don’t face fatphobia because they obviously do, but not to the degree that women do – women’s bodies are scrutinized to a ridiculous degree.  So sometimes when I just want to write a garbage fic about someone getting fat as hell, it’s easier for me to do it with dudes.  If that makes sense?

Anyway, that was a long-ass answer.  tl;dr, we need more fat lady fic. :)
