Hoppy Easter
I hope you all had a wonder Easter and got your fill of Peeps, jelly beans and chocolate eggs! It’s a patterned paper challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp showcasing Doodlebug products. I love using patterned paper so this was an easy challenge this week for me. For my papers, I’m using Nitwit Collection Spring Gnome Collection. The difficult part was deciding which diecuts to feature. Since…

You Are Gorgeous
For my grand-daughter’s 13th birthday, I wanted to make her a special card. She is funny, fiercely loyal to her friends, plays hockey and loves makeup. After seeing Spellbinders new Gorgeous line, I knew I had to order a few of the dies and make her birthday card with them. For her card I used the Makeup Bag and the Gorgeous You Makeup dies. I have to admit, I had a lot of making putting the…

Fun with Stencils
Simon Says Stamp is featuring Pink Fresh Studio for this week’s stencil challenge. I pulled out a grid stencil and used a rainbow of colors to ink up the background. I hot foiled the image using Pink Fresh Studio’s Playful Petals press plate – these plates foil beautifully! I cut out the three flowers using the included die from the set and colored them with copic markers. I couldn’t get a good…

Nothing that is Loved is ever Lost
The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is Anything Goes sponsored by Spellbinders. Whenever possible, I try to use the sponsor of the challenge as inspiration for my designs. Unfortunately, my inventory of sympathy cards is quite low so I thought I’d use the Small Die of the Month for January – Soaring Dragonfly from Spellbinders on a couple of cards. I find it a bit challenging making a…

It's a Boy
I’m not sure why but it has taken me a couple of days to get these cards made. I started out wanting to make a shaker card so I pulled out the Winter Hat die from Pretty Pink Posh. Maybe it’s the papers I chose, but I feel like the hats are missing something. I pulled out some older dies and stamps to complete the cards. Thanks for stopping by! Dee

Coffee Time
We started out the day today with bitterly cold temperatures, I saw -24 degrees at one point and that is without windchill…burrrrr! With that said, it is a day to stay indoors and spend some time crafting. I decided to play along with Simon Says Stamp’s Challenge this week of Clean and Simple. For me, these are about as simple of a card as I can make. It’s really hard for me to have a lot of…

Better Together
I’m so excited to see sketch and color challenges are back at My Favorite Things. Kim is starting out the new year with this color challenge: I pulled out a new stamp and die set for me, Better Together and paired it with On the Road die as well as the Car Pool die. I know MFT is working on getting more supplies back in so hopefully these will be available soon if you’re interested in trying…

Bless yer Heart
Happy New Year! My small business deesdesigns had a very successful year. I was busy with shows from September until the first part of December. My shows went so well that I had to scramble between shows to build up enough inventory for the next show. I’m taking a breather now until the weather warms back up and I’m able to go back into the garage and do more resin work. I always enjoy making…

Anything Goes with Gina K Designs
Wow! It’s been a bit since I was able to play along with Simon Says Stamp challenge and the one this week is the easiest of them all…Anything Goes, sponsored by Gina K Designs. I opted to use a stamp, die and stencil set from Gina K – Wishful Florals. I have to admit, I’m probably one of the few that is not a fan of stenciling the stamped images. I love my copics too much to let them set on the…

Autumn Wishes
It’s been a while hasn’t it since I’ve posted anything. The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is Things with Wings and is sponsored by one of my favorite companies, Honey Bee Stamps. I had so much fun creating this card using various Lovely Layer dies from Honey Bee Stamps: I used the pheasant, scarecrow, straw bale, wagon wheel – even the fence are all dies from HBS. Thanks so much for…

Enchanted Deer
A quick post, I wanted to share a card I made to participate in this week’s Simon Says Stamp Die Cut Challenge sponsored by Memory Box. I pulled out an older die – Enchanted Deer Collage (not sure if it is still available). I pulled a few Pawsitively Ink colors and brushed on a sunset panel to layer behind the deer die panel. A sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate BetterPress collection from…
