All Hail the Chinese Communist Party
With the Korean peninsula in ruins, a new power has emerged: China.
The People's Liberation Army crossed the Yalu river in lightning speed and marched across both Koreas, with little resistance.
The leader of the CCP, Chairman Mao Zedong, has declared the Korean peninsula as Chosen, the 35th province of the People's Republic of China. Hmm, I wonder where that name is from.
As a sign of goodwill to the two former Koreas, the members of both Politburos have been invited to join the National People's Congress in Beijing. There, they forge a new future - not of a peninsula, but of a new continent, a new world.
Glory to the CCP.

Military invasion from the North (again)
Seeing the weakness displayed by the DPRK in responding to the Southern threat, along with the political fragility of the nation with its glorious Supreme Leader Kim Il-Sung dead, the Chinese government has started yet another march into North Korea. This time, it is not simple financial compensation that they desire, but full capitulation of the nation and establishment of a pro-Chinese North Korean government. Comrades, stand strong or we stand alone.

Marching through the Streets, in a One-Horse Open Coffin.
As ordered by Choe Hyon, the military has dug up Kim Il-Sung's coffin from the graveyard, and started parading it around Pyongyang. While some see it as a very sentimental act, most are questioning what he is doing, seeing it as a disrespectful act towards their former Supreme Leader.

A Day of Mourning
A moment of silence please. Our glorious Supreme Leader has been found dead in his house, murdered by two unknown assassins. We are yet to discover who has killed him, but what we do know now is that our country is mourning. A political vacuum has opened with his death, as a successor is yet to be named. Kim Jong-Il, his son, is too young and inexperienced to lead, so the country is seeking a new leader for our glorious nation. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea will never falter! Glory to the DPRK! Glory to the DPRK!

Power to the Soldiers
Due to the lack of action taken by the DPRK Politburo, the soldiers at the border (placed there by Kim Chang-Bong) have decided to take matters into their own hands and charge into the ROK territory. However, due to their lack of planning and no instructions given to them from the higher-ups, they have charged into an ambush and 500 soldiers have died. This act of aggression has further angered both the ROK and the U.S.A, and retaliatory action is likely to be delivered.

Clashes along DMZ
Reports from our courageous border guards indicate that ROK soldiers have attempted to set foot on our land, although it is currently unclear whether these intrusions were sanctioned by the ROK parliament. Our fearless border forces responded swiftly and decisively, driving them back.
Surely this brazen transgression from the puppets of the imperialists cannot be ignored. Our nation must stand strong in the face of foreign aggression and remain vigilant in the face of such constant provocations.
Furthermore, despite the undeniable facts, the deceitful ROK leadership seeks to twist the narrative; they falsely claim that our troops, sent there by Kim Chang-Bong, were in fact the ones to start the turmoil. These desperate lies only serve to reinforce their weakness and cowardice.

Diplomacy reigns supreme!
China has agreed to a peace deal with the DPRK, and has halted all current invasions. As a result of the negotiations, China has agreed to take 1. 20% of the DPRK's revenue for the next 12 months 2. North Hamgyong province The people are celebrating now that the military emergency is over, however worries are now arising that the only two land borders North Korea has is with China and the ROK, and trade with the U.S.S.R is significantly reduced. Also, re-construction efforts regarding the Bridge of Friendship are still ongoing, just that the DPRK is currently funding the re-construction of a Chinese bridge for China. Hooray!

And the Chinese go marching in!
The Chinese, having their demands not responded to for more than 5 months already, have decided to take decisive action. They have launched a military invasion, taking over the city of Chosan in Chagang province, and are likely to continue storming down South till they reach Pyongyang. Kim Il-Sung has declared a State of Emergency as a response to the military escalation, and demands the Politburo to focus their full efforts of dealing with the Chinese.

Is that a bird? Is that a plane? No, it's a Chinese Xi'an H6!
As a result of a lack of anti-air defence set-up at the Sino-Korean border, Chinese pilots have been free to start aerial raids on the civilian infrastructure in the North. People in the North Hamgyong, Chagang and North Pyongan provinces are being bombed and are suffering. This is an escalation of the lack of response to the earlier demands put out by the Chinese government, and the people yearn for the Politburo to do something.

Escalation at the border? No...not that one.
The only rail bridge connecting North Korea and the Soviet Union, the Bridge of Friendship, has suddenly combusted into a ball of flames! As there is now no longer any infrastructure connecting the two Communist countries, trade between the two is almost non-existent, and the trade blockade on the North is only worsening. While it is unknown who caused the explosion, fingers are currently being pointed at the Chinese communists.

Southern Assassins?
While going home from work, Han Sang-Tu and Kim Yong-Ju were confronted by a gang of Southern assassins and were attacked. Thankfully, they managed to run and get help from their bodyguards, allowing them to only be mildly injured. However, this means they are currently injured and resting at home, and so cannot be speaking in the Politburo. Kim Il-Sung is furious at this Southern aggression, and demands escalation.

Make China Great Again!
Seeing no response to their diplomatic negotiations, the Chinese government has decided to escalate, and start naval blockading North Korea. As a result, the current only trade route available to the North Koreans is via the slim border with Russia near Sodong, which is too small to provide anything of substantial value according to financial analysts in the DPRK government. The people are now suffering from the lack of consumer imports (caused by the unsolved trade deficit the DPRK was previously afflicted with), and a famine is likely to follow if nothing is done. In other news, military exercises are now being conducted near the Northern Chinese-Korean border. It is unknown how many Chinese soldiers are at the border, although it is at least more than 10,000 men there.

The Great Blockade of China
Having lost their main source of influence in the Korean peninsula, the Chinese government is worried over creeping Soviet influence in the DPRK, and wants a sign of loyalty to continue re-investment in the region. Thus, they are demanding 30% of the DPRK's revenue for the next year (from November 1968 to November 1969), along with the province of North Hamgyong as a symbol of friendship and loyalty. The DPRK Politburo has been given a month to respond to this, and all trade between China and the DPRK has been halted for this period, an obvious means of applying pressure on the fragile DPRK government by the Chinese.

Starts Revolution. Refuses to Elaborate. Leaves.
The devious rebel Pak Kum-Chol has finally reappeared... in the South? In a shocking maneuver, Pak Kum-Chol has been flown to Busan in the ROK, where he is currently being backed by rich Chaebols. The reasoning for this is currently unknown. Regardless of the results, Kim Il-Sung is pleased with the outcome, and now wishes for the Politburo to focus on domestic issues, along with further combating the Southern threat.
