"You need to be patient with her... look at it from her perspective. The love of her life walked out on her abruptly... so, it makes sense that she's keeping her distance. She doesn't want to get hurt again." Rei frowns and looks over at Mode. "Mode told me that she's not seeing anyone, but has had flings here and there... nothing serious... because I think she's afraid of things getting too serious," says Rei as she sighs. "Look, it's going to take more than just this impromptu get together at the park to build her trust... but it's the first step to possibly opening communication with her. Show her that you aren't going anywhere." -🌸

Mode and Rei sat on blanket, under the shade of a large weeping willow tree quietly chatting, all while Sayuri ran about collecting wild camellias, daisies and tendrils of wisteria. The child perched herself by a nearby stump, while humming a little song as she weaved the flowers into a crown. 

Running up to Mode, Sayuri smiles at the woman and gently places the crown on the fashion designer’s head.

The little girl was beaming at her handy work, “Now you really look like a princess! Doesn’t she auntie Rei!”

Rei smiled at the pair, it was clear that her niece was very fond on Mode. “Yes, she does indeed,” answered the young doctor. 

However, just a little ways away, footsteps could be heard approaching, the child turned around to see a very familiar person off in the distance. Sayuri could easily tell it was Mr. Sasaki from a mile away, his green hair and signature stride were a dead give away. “MR. SASAKI! HI!,” the child darted over to the man running at full speed, before wrapped her little arms around his long legs, her face looking upward. 

“I made friends with a princess, come on! You should meet her!” -🌸

“Thank you,” Mode responded, taking her hair clip out of her hair & stashing it in her kimono before adjusting the flower crown.

Mirai flinched a little when he was grabbed, looking down at Sayuri. “Good afternoon, Saito.”

Princess? His initial confusion dissipated when he spotted Pe & Rei sitting together.

“Doctor. Princess Mode,” Nighteye greeted as he sat down. He took a box of macarons to go with their tea party, serving Mode 2 pink cherry blossom flavored ones.

“Which would you like?” He turned to ask Rei & Sayuri.

“Hello…” the designer didn’t know how to play, “Lord Sasaki.”

She poured him & Rei tea, milk for Sayuri.

Rei nods when Shota explains getting her the homeroom teacher contact information. She then give a slight smile when he mentions Yakitori. "Sounds delicious! I had no idea you were a hero and a chef."

"And sure, you can meet me at Musutafu Children's Hospital. My break is at 1 p.m. and I'm on the alligator floor... well... the 4th floor. The floors are named after animals, but um,... sound good to you?"-🌸

He did so, swallowing hard after. Aizawa really did hate that every time he did that, he noticed & it hurt.

“It’s fine. Do what you have to do.”

Scarf already off, it was logical to just take off her shirt so she could get a better reading.

He was almost pure muscle, training daily, but he still kept a slender figure. Shota was scarred all over, though the one on his face was still the most evident.

The hero coughed into his hand, waiting. He still sounded congested & was warm to the touch.

Rei's face looks like a tomato, as she stops mid bite of her donut. Quickly chewing and swallowing as jelly sticks to her face. "Oh, Mode! I'm so sorry if I'm throwing you mixed messages. I was just curious, you know... girl talk! Nothing serious... You know how it is when you talk to your friends." The young doctor continues to laugh nervously -- this was going to be more challenging than she anticipated. Sasaki really had a way of attracting complicated women. Mode was sort of a wild card to her. So, Hawks... what is he like? He seems like a really fast moving guy, is it hard to keep up with him? I've only seen a few articles in the tabloids about his and they mostly focus on his age. -🌸

Mode backed away & couldn’t help but chuckle.

“I understand. You’re not into me sexually.” It happened. “It wasn’t a greeting. I was testing your interest.”

She grabbed her tablet & stuffed it into her bag. The woman changed into more comfortable shoes & placed a long jacket over her dress. Pe fluffed her hair with her hands.

“Let’s go to your cafe. I have some time. I can sketch some ideas while we are there as well.”

Rei sighs. "I know you have your hands full with your hero students, but... if you can just keep an eye on her... I think that would be best. I can pick her up from school going forward... but, I know she's not going to like any of this." The young doctor looks frustrated. "I don't mean to speak out of terms about Ribbon's mother... but, this is ridiculous... how do you just leave your teenage daughter on her own while you're constantly traveling to different countries for work... none of it makes sense either. I get that she's a CEO of a international department store, but why is she the one traveling? Shouldn't she have reps at her disposal to do that for her? It just doesn't add up..."

“There’s paperwork you can fill out. She would have to give it to her homeroom teacher after it’s completed. I’ll email it to you.”

Aizawa took out his phone & took a few moments to type some stuff in. He handed it to her, wanting her address toward the top of the email.

“I’ll put in a good word with the principal, but it’s ultimately up to him.”

He sighed a little.

“I should stop her supplemental lessons. I think she should stop seeing Mode, too. It might be too much for her to handle along with her regular schoolwork. Ribbon won’t be happy about it, but if she’s having hallucinations, I think reducing her stress should be our priority.”

Rei had realized that Sayuri's question had hit a nerve, and the pair needed a moment to talk it out. While Sayuri was confused, she didn't see the umbrella go into the tree... it wasn't windy out either? However, Sayuri doesn't dwell on this thought for very long, when she sees one of the swings on the playground up ahead was open. "Can I go play? Pleeaassse?"-🌸

She giggles uncontrollably as he blows raspberries on stomach. Once he stops, she looked down and smiles at Hizashi. "Well, I think you bring out the best in me..." She pauses -- a knowing smirk on her face.

"I think I'm better when I'm with you..."

He was initially surprised by her outburst, but he listened.

“Heh. I see. I didn’t know you had a fiancé. Kengo was a jerk for leaving you like that.”

Mic grabbed one of her hands and kissed the top of it.

“Relationships aren’t easy. We’re both going to make mistakes.” Yamada smiled a bit. “I’ll wait for you. Just always let me know what you want. I’m not a mind reader.”

His thumb rubbed her skin. This was going to be different from most of his girlfriends, but he didn’t find that to be a deterrent. It was refreshing, maybe?

“I have to know. How do you feel about tickles?” Mic attempted to bring the mood back to playful.

Sayuri is practically hovering over the box. "Can I have that one?," asks Sayuri as she points at the raspberry flavored one. Rei chuckles, "What do you say Sayuri?" The child chirps "Thank You Very Much!" before taking the raspberry one. Rei takes a chocolate macaron and thanks Sasaki quietly. She immediately smiles, "What a beautiful day, aren't the blossoms just gorgeous. This is my first time here, but I'm sure you both have many wonderful memories of this park." Sayuri drinks her milk, and has a little mustache on her face. She grins from ear-to-ear, and chimes in. "Mr. Sasaki, did you find Princess Mode here a long time ago?"-🌸

Rei smiles. "Sure... totally, I'll send you some dates as soon as I find out my schedule." When Hizashi mentions getting a kiss playfully, she blushes and her eyes are downcast. Rei seems shy, but, gently she cups the side of his face and plants a kiss on his cheek. Her lips are warm and soft as they linger on Hizashi's face. She whispers in his ear. "Hizashi, you make every moment fun...Thank you..." Ribbon and Sayuri's eye go wide, seeing Rei give the musically inclined hero a smooch on the cheek.-🌸

He fed her. “I don’t really know. You tell me.” The man smiled. The same fork snipped off a piece of hers than he ate some of his own.

“I think yours does taste better.” Mic was generally surprised. The hero finished up his own anyway.

“Charge it to the card on my tab, Mr. Chef.”

“Want him to make anything to take home?” He asked Rei. For herself for later or Sayuri - both were fine with him.

Rei nods. "I'll fill out the paperwork ASAP, thank you. so much" When Aizawa mentions Ribbon needing to reduced her course load, Rei agrees, but knows that Ribbon will fight that tooth and nail. "Oh, Mr. Aizawa, Ribbon won't do that... she'll be absolutely livid. Her grades and academics are her pride and joy. How do I even approach her about that?"-🌸

But I don't know if there are any ramifications for going against a parent like that." When Shota mentions getting sleep, she smirks at this small victory, hoping the man would indeed take it easy. And when he mentions paying her back, she smiles. She thought the gesture was quite sweet. "Can you make me your favorite dish and enough to feed two? That way, we could maybe have a meal together... if that's okay with you."-🌸

Rei smiles as she strokes Hizashi's long golden blonde hair. She loved running her fingers through his locks. "I understand now... it's important to live in the now and not dwell in the past. That's something I still struggle with myself. But, I think your nightmares linger because, you can't just erase a part of your life that shaped you into who you are today..." "But, I'm glad you know you're not alone. And I don't plan on going anywhere for as long as you're willing to be with me." Rei wraps her arms around him back, he feels warm... she can hear the steady beating of his heart. -🌸

Don’t ever let yourself believe that there is.” Rei gently cupped the side of Hizashi’s face, her thumb softly stroking his cheek. Clear blue eyes are staring back at him, not with judgement, but compassion and care. “You hide behind that facade so much. Why?”-🌸

Rei continues to laugh uncontrollably. "Okay! Okay! I give, I give! Have mercy... Hahahahaha! I surrender! She tries to catch her breath, and looks in to Yamada's eyes. The look she gives him is warm and caring. -🌸

Rei’s face turns red after she chews her malasada.

“Date… like both of them! Oh, No, no, no! I’m just dating Yamada… Sasaki has just been a really good friend. Um… Sasaki actually helped me a little over a year ago, my niece Sayuri had ran away from her kindergarten and fortunately, Sasaki had found her… honestly, he’s more like found family at this point. You should see how excited Sayuri gets to see him… he’s very good with kids… even though he comes off a little strict.” The elderly man returns with Mode’s coffee, smiles and then leave the women to continue to talk. But, I very much am dating Yamada… he makes me laugh… between him and Sayuri, I think I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in a long while.

“Both Yamada and Sasaki are great… but are you seeing anyone?” Rei was trying to find out for Sasaki’s sake if his true love was still indeed single.-🌸

She sighs and answers his question. 

“Yes! If you actually rest, you should recover quicker… but I have a feeling you have selective hearing on some of my orders. In all seriousness though, please try to rest. The more sleep you get, the sooner you’ll feel better.”

Her voice was gentle and endearing, without sounding condescending. 

“Oh, this check-up, it's free of charge. Call it a friendly impromptu house call.”-🌸

She laughs at Hizashi’s forwardness when he mentions seeing her in her swimsuit. “You can just bring yourself! I can handle everything, don’t worry about it!” When Hizashi points to the building, she nods. “Yeah, my place is the loft next to the apartment complex.”

The pair make it to the front door of Rei’s home, and off to the side Ribbon and Sayuri are trying to sneak a peek out the window -- as they watch to two adults. -🌸

He fed her. “I don’t really know. You tell me.” The man smiled. The same fork snipped off a piece of hers than he ate some of his own.

“I think yours does taste better.” Mic was generally surprised. The hero finished up his own anyway.

Tickles?!…”

Before Rei can answer, she felt Hizashi’s fingers tickle her ribcage. She bursts out laughing and giggling in Hazashi’s arms. Squirming and wiggles against his body, Rei's face is flush as her eyes water a little. 

She truly was enjoying his playful attitude as unexpected as it was. Rei knew he wanted her to be happy. -🌸

She nods, feeling a little bit better about Hizashi at least mentioning his feelings. Rei knew it would probably take time — and she was willing to be patient with him, just as he has been patient with her. 

Rei follows Hizashi into the den and takes a seat on the sofa, she grabs a blanket and wraps it around herself.

“Hey…,” she speaks in a soft gentle voice. “You wanna cuddle up with me for a little while, I couldn’t sleep anyway… I could use the company.” -🌸
