#i love my job !!#i’m a nurse in the cath lab and interventional radiology#we treat inpatients and outpatients#and do angiography of anything from the neck to the feet#so from the carotid artery to the dorsalis pedis if there’s a blockage we open it with balloons and/or stents#we also place pacemakers icds loop implants and do tilt table tests#plus cardioversions!#and a pericardiocentesis every now and then#oh we also do thrombectomies for blood clots in the lungs or leg#then for the IR side we place vascaths and permacaths for dialysis access and every now and then a pleural drain#i’ve already learned soooo much and i genuinely enjoy what i do!!

aaaaa!!! i’m getting a raise!!! it’s not a lot considering nurse salaries in the south but it’s a big increase from what it used to be!
it’s a market value increase too so it’ll make us more competitive with the hospitals in the area. the other hospitals had given their nurses raises like a few years ago so before this we had like the lowest paying salaries in the area 😭 lol but not anymore! very thankful
