Tildes, rings and umlauts

Several accents on letters originate from a stacked letter. The ñ of Spanish señor ('gentleman') arose from a stacked n. It used to be sennor. The letter å, as in Swedish stå ('to stand'), is an a with an o on top. The German umlaut on ä, ö and ü comes from a stacked e. It changed a lot:

#Exileverse something something bc why not???

Sooooo I happened to run into an mlp AU called exileverse by @thiscatdraws a while ago, and then got invested in it SO bad that I kinda got into my mlp phase again after like 8 years. What would be a better gift for this amazing AU than some good old fanart and exileverse-ifying my OCS, so meet the siblings Lilybell, Pale Star, Scorching Storm and their father, White Night! Here’s some lore for them Imanaged to make: In the farthest norths of Equestria is a cold, barren land, with frequent blizzards and dozens of nightless days.(A bit northern Europe-ey, like Sweden! The one who governs this land is the House of Light, the forefront defending Equestria from many dangers of the north- especially, the Umbrum. The House of Light,(The House, in short) is a clan of white, fierce pegasi, adapted perfectly to the harsh environment and always ready to fight. They are also known as devout followers of Queen Celestia, holding the Sun, light, and strength as their most important values. Though however fearless these ponies are, the House of Light has its dark sides. Living in an arduous environment, the need for survival changed into obsession for physical strength, and the House relentlessly trains their children for battle, exiling weak members out of the family. Also, countless wars with the Umbrum has led the House to resent the darkness as a whole, rejecting nighttime and even dark-colored ponies. All three of the siblings have fell victim to this, as Lilybell and Scorching Storm both were kicked out each due to weakness and a black pelt, and Pale Star is often overwhelmed by his duties as the only heir of the Patriarch and the pressure to be strong that his father constantly burdens him with. As ponies that dislike the dark, the House is one of the few that actually preferred the time when Nightmare Moon was defeated and Equestria had no proper nighttime. You can probably imagine their disdain when Twilight Sparkle ascended into the Night Deity, providing darkness to Equestria…and when they found out what she did as one…and when, after all those years of fighting, one of the princesses decides to marry an Umbrum.

Stygian in my MLP Exileverse AU! The first Umbrum, the Pony of Shadow…

The forgotten Pillar of Equestria, the Bringer of Harmony. Stygian was the younger brother of Starswirl the Bearded, aiding his elder sister in her magical experiments. However, the spell that backfired on Starswirl also affected Stygian: from that day forth, his appearance was frightful and his horn damaged. However, his love of magic persevered and he began cultivating a new, strange school of magic that affected the body and mind…that would later be known as dark magic.

When Starswirl began to plot the Storm King’s usurpation with Celestia and Luna, it was Stygian who used his magic to locate the strongest ponies in Equestria: Loudest of Laughter, the most Selfless of Generosity, the Truest of Honesty, the most Steadfast of Loyalty, and the Greatest of Kindness.

The Storm King was defeated, and Celestia and Luna ascended to godhood in his place. But even with their new power, they feared one that could usurp them—Stygian. With his strange dark powers and ability to unite any and every pony in harmony, he was only growing more powerful, a hero to all.

The sisters agreed that he was too dangerous to be allowed to be free. They spread rumors among the Pillars that Stygian was plotting against them, that he was dark and evil, that his plan all along was to cast the world into darkness. Their influence was too powerful and the Pillars, even Starswirl, turned on Stygian. They cast him out to the farthest reaches of the Equestrian north with a small band of supporters, and sealed them deep within the frozen darkness.

Without Stygian’s powers to aid them, the Storm King began to break free. As a last ditch effort to keep him locked away, the Pillars sealed themself along with him—only with their sacrifice could he be truly defeated.

Captured in darkness and stewing in betrayal, kind Stygian grew cold and cruel, warping himself and his followers into ponies of Shadow—or, as they came to be named, the Umbrum. His followers grew in number and began to grew powerful enough to slip out into the world, but not him—not until someone freed him purposefully.

Exileverse MLP AU Cadence and Shining Armor…the beautiful bride and the ugly-ass groom

RECAP; In this AU, Shining Armor is an Umbrum sent by his elder brother King Sombra to assassinate Cadence and falls in love with her instead :P Cadence is the one related to Twilight in this AU, not Shining! Side note: Umbrum don’t have cutie marks, but they can choose to add one if shapeshifting.

Also I know it’s CaDANCE in canon but that pmo so it’s Cadence now 💖
