Scalegorge Waterscape... He overlooked the ruined palace and the eggs that held the reincarnating Vidyadhara. He was quiet, balancing the sphere in his hand. His attention seemed to be on the sphere in his hand, but it was truly on the abundance abominations within the ruins and sacred place. Though he wasn't the Luofu's High Elder, he still felt a duty to take care of the eggs that held his brethren, sleeping and becoming someone new. He didn't even give the presence behind him a glance.

Genshin Verse

SUMMARY: Dan Heng is a minor water god in the nation of Liyue. Having fought in the Archon War to save Liyue from disaster beside Rex Lapis, who would later become the Geo Archon Morax, Dan Heng survives the Archon War, takes the title of Adeptus Imbibitor Lunae and retires to Chenyu Vale nurturing the human life there.

During the Cataclysm that destroyed the human kingdom of Khaenri'ah Dan Heng spent the time keeping the vanguard of Rifthounds from over running Chenyu Vale. Afterwards, he takes the form of a human male with draconic features (a form he took back during the Archon War and then returned to his dragon form afterwards) and lived among the humans, keeping them safe from any and all ill effects while he rested and recovered from the fighting.

500 years AFTER Khaenri'ah's fall Dan Heng decides to leave Chenyu Vale and explore the world outside, to see what all has changed since he retired.

APPEARANCE: Unlike his canonical HSR counterpart, where he is the reincarnation of Yinyue/Dan Feng and has two forms (his IL form and his human cloudhymn made appearance), Dan Heng in Genshin has always been in his IL form as well as having two Dragon forms: a larger form made for battles and a smaller "travel" form (think Mushu from Disney's 1998 Mulan expect without the walking on two legs). And yes he is intersexed in this verse too. Everything is in working order.

PERSONALITY: His personality is the same as it is in HSR. He LOVES to read, to explore new places, try new things and is very protective of people. He doesn't take to being attacked or seeing other's in danger.

ABILITIES: He has his destruction abilities that he has in HSR as well as the healing abilities that Yinyue/Dan Feng had in HSR.

Dan Heng listened, nodding along because he was right. This entire land had been created BY Irontomb out of rejection by The Erudition and had been caught by Nanook's gaze and being granted unlimited power by becoming an Emanator. It was a sad thing.

❝ From my friends back on the Express, they gave me a rundown of the situation from their end. According to a Memokeeper named Black Swan: Fuli the Aeon of Remembrance has gazed upon this world. The balance is already starting to shift towards another chapter in this world's life, away from Destruction. ❞ he explained the situation from the Express' perspective.

Destruction, Erudition and Remembrance. If you had to take a guess, just a wild shot in the dark, what would you say the next chapter is going to be? One of Remembrance, Destruction or Erudition? Or possibly, as a fourth option: of The Trailblaze. ❞

"You don’t--have to, Dan Heng, it’s my burden to keep Irontomb anchored long enough but... thank you.” He smiled, albeit feeling a bit more tired than expected. “And don’t worry. I... don’t think that’ll happen as long as we remain on path for this next cycle. If they remain on path, there shouldn’t be a Phainon next time.” 

Then again there were a number of other factors to consider, namely how long he had left in a new (fresh?) body with over 396 million coreflames contained in it. A steady breath, he flexed his hands and rolled his shoulders. Getting used to the surge was going to take some time... 

“It’s not as simple as ‘pathstriders’ though. We’re creations of Nanook, this whole land is. The calculation for what, specifically, I don’t know, but Khaslana... remembers still from the first time... we were to be used to power the lord raveger at the center of all of this. I think by making their choices to do whatever was necessary to keep that from happening... they sewed the seeds that would be hope that we can be the ones to topple their plans.” He frowned. 

“The power they’ve let condense is enough to rip apart a galaxy... but if I have to let it burn itself out then so be it.”
