How do I respond to people who comment on my posts? Tumblr keeps warning me that I can't comment, does anyone know how to fix this?

guidelines for minors in the therian/otherkin community:

predators are everywhere, including within this subculture. block. report. tell an adult you trust if you feel unsafe.

p-shifters are individuals who claim they can physically transform into their kintype. they're lying. they want attention. power. control. block them and spread the word.

it's okay to change your kintype. we're just glad you're figuring yourself out. we don't think you're faking.

"kin" is a noun, not a verb. you are kin. you are not "kinning."

it's okay to have fun in this community. it's okay to take yourself seriously, too. if someone doesn't like your self-expression? block them.

don't feed the trolls. they want to suck you in. laugh at you. hurt you. don't take the bait and remember: the block button is your friend.

some people believe their identity to be spiritual. sometimes it's psychological. respect both.

if your identity is causing serious distress, to the point that it's affecting your daily life, seek professional help. and if you every feel like hurting yourself, help is just a phone call away.

if you do find yourself looking at mythical creatures, I should like to put forth Eastern type dragons for your kinsideration(:p). they match what you are sure of very well.

I discovered that I'm still being a (semi)-aquatic reptile, but I don't know what species yet… so far I've been questioning monitor lizards, but also axolotls and alpine newts. Most of all I feel like a monitor lizard.

some Things I know about myself:

I'm pretty sure I'm a reptile and not an amphibian

I'm rather slim and an elegant diver

i have a strong feeling that i have lived in rivers, but i am also drawn to ocean lagoons

I'm not sure about my size, so it's not that important

there are many lizards like me in tropical regions, but unfortunately i don't really like the heat that much.

Do you know any species of lizards that like to be in water (preferably rivers) and live in a temperate climate zone?

if you do, let me know!

I(USA based) went to my local Renaissance Faire a weekend or two ago and picked up a set of horns from it that cost about forty bucks. I wore em to a department store a couple days ago and nobody said anything or gave me funny looks about it which was pretty nice. anyway I'm sure "costume" horns exist out there for u too!

hi, a question !! do you know any good and relatively cheap items to help a fellow dragon out with species dysphoria? im sorry if this sounds silly ive just tried looking everywhere and havent been super successful at finding anything thats like. GLARINGLY out there if that makes any sense :P

Off the top of my head:

Jewelry in general, at least if you're a hoarder like me

Dragon jewelry especially

Full-finger rings or fingertip claw rings, potentially, though that's probably running into more expensive territory on account of being pretty niche

Scale-pattern shirts are out there, they're great (I own one)

Makeup can also be used for scales and colors, as well as Shiny As Hell

can confirm hand fans rule! the thwap of opening it and the click of tapping the closed fan against your thigh or other hand are both Very Good Noises

If you are a person who misses wings and wants to get that sensation back, I totally recommend those little hand fans, particularly the foldable ones! Personally, I find they can make a similar sound and using one can kinda feel like using your wings!

And also, if you are using a hand fan in public, people will just think you’re warm! Especially as weather heats up, it’s really nice :)
