what is the relationship like between rem + molt and the other au travelers? who is in their group traveling with them? how do those like ink, error, and core feel about them?

Dust, Killer, Horror, Cross and Blue all eventually join Molt and Rem. By that point, they have a base of operations and divide into smaller groups (2-3) while traveling to avoid drawing attention to themselves.

Ugh, those two? Anomalous pests. Error views Rem and Molt in the same way as he views everything else. As glitches to be terminated. Bugs in the code he needs to hammer out before it all goes to hell. He doesn't ACTIVELY seek them out, but when they cross paths he won't hesitate to try to destroy them along WITH the AU he wants to get rid of. The apple troop avoids him at all costs. Ink places equal value on all creation, and for that reason, he is forced into a position where he feels obligated to respect all "characters" he comes across, even "characters" like Error. Can art destroy itself? Should art destroy itself, if that is the intention of the creator? What do you do when one Artist's art can only be appreciated through the destruction of another Artist's work? Ink doesn't think of it in exactly those terms, bc I don't like being that BLUNT with meta stuff, but that is the gist of his internal conflict. Molt and Rem passively interfere and that is a PROBLEM for Ink, who believes the "narrative" should be left to play out organically without outside interference. But I don't think their relationship is always purely antagonistic. Sometimes Ink will chase Rem and Molt off. Sometimes he won't. Sometimes he's lonely enough to sit down and just... talk to Molt. (i would go on about this more but this post is already too long KJSDFLSD)

I'm not familiar with Core!Frisk enough to say this with confidence, but if their goals are the same in this multiverse, they probably don't like Rem too much.

As for other au travelers in general? Depends on the traveler. Rem regularly commits petty crimes. He trespasses, he steals stuff. He’s not above blackmail. His gang is guilty of breaking and entering. I don’t imagine that kind of reputation will fly with a lot of people.

Oh yes please, tell us your thoughts on Ink and his vials!! 👀✨️

Oh gosh where to begin.

First, as a general disclaimer, all of this will apply specifically to Moltendreams!Ink. And may or may not apply to any other interpretation of Ink. (Some of these may not apply to Schrödinger’s Gate!Ink for example.)

Specific AUs give Ink specific paint colors tied to certain emotions. Underfell will give Ink shades of red/anger/righteousness for example but won’t give him yellow/euphoria. Horrortale will give him deep blue/loneliness/grief and shades of purple/fear but won’t give him green/envy etc.

the more common the au is, the more of a specific color Ink will be able to collect from it.

this means that if a certain AU is rare he will use up the color associated with it more quickly. He will try to avoid situations that drain that specific color because it will be harder to refill it later.

Ink drinks a little bit of every color at the same time, daily. Rather than one at a time as it applies to a specific situation

it's easier for Ink to collect paint from AUs in the “WIP” phase because the paint hasn’t dried yet AFCRUFTAFH

He can gather paint from a “finished” world but he won’t get as much.

(I’m torn between ideas of HOW he does this. Do the vials refill like a phone on a wireless charging pad and all Ink has to do is sit in that AU for a bit? Or does he have to physically access a kind of ‘back door’ to the AU? Like a ‘developer testing room’ that is normally out of bounds and paint just drips from the ceiling? In the case of the latter, the Doodle sphere can access all “developer test rooms” Ink has discovered. But he has to discover them first.) ((sorry bby you have to work for it))

Like canon!Ink, when Moltendreams!Ink is drained of paint he will become doll-like, an empty unresponsive husk. with a couple caveats. 1. Ink is aware of things that happen during this period. he just can't react to them.

2. if what's left of his magic feels threatened, (the minimal stuff that is keeping his body together) he will react to defend himself. it's more reflex/instinctive than thought out, however.

3. if Ink had been focusing on a task, goal, or thought prior to going dry, he will react to external things related to that specific task/goal/thought.

Ink doesn't immediately bounce back after getting his vials refilled. He's sluggish, and there's a noticeable buffer period between when something happens and when he reacts to it. He remembers what happened and what was said to him. This is the second most vulnerable period for him. if someone wanted to manipulate or influence him that would be the time to do it.

Well I don't know why but I feel like Cassie's dad would be the type of guy that wouldn't be really close to them (cuz he's either in Parts and Services or around the PizzaPlex fixing general equipment) but whenever a Karen tries to physically assault at least one of them (especially the girls or his apprentice cuz he's our bbg), he'll jump on that Karen without any hesitation. Gotta protect the team 💪

He makes sure they’re all okay. Tech wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to them, especially since he knows what effects working for this company can have on their employees.
