If you'd like to start sending in requests again, I'm accepting the classic "companions react:" requests as well as short one-shots where feasible. Please be patient while I set everything back up, and while I work through Veilguard I would appreciate not being sent spoilers.
Remember, I'll write for all the main Dragon Age games as well as the three modern Fallout games. Happy to be part of this again!

Surprisingly, the scars aren't all that gnarly in Veilguard. Trying to convince myself that this looks close enough. It's been a while.

dragon age inquisition companions react to the inquisitor confessing their love to them? â¤ď¸ lov u
Tysm ily2 â¤ď¸ Sorry this one took so long, I got a little carried away with a few.
Sera: While Seraâs laughing at her own jokes and throwing a crude comment at whoeverâs unlucky enough to be her victim, the Inquisitor speaks up, almost oblivious to Seraâs antics, as they murmur some comment about how much they love her. Sheâs caught off-guard, interrupted and halted mid-innuendo, by an accidental declaration of love, no less. The elf is quiet for the first time in her life - for a blessed five seconds, that is - before her unmistakable laughter splits the silence in the tavern and sheâs rolling back with a crooked grin. âFunny, yeah? Like to mess about, you.â Needless to say, she stays quiet when she realises it isnât another prank nor a joke. The grin never leaves, though, and neither does the fluttering in her chest that sheâll never admit to.
Blackwall: After days of frustration on the battlefield, the warden storms down to the barn, demanding that someone comes down to train with him. Almost too eagerly, the Inquisitor shows up with a set of wooden shields and swords. Blackwall begins training with a roar, swinging at the similarly-skilled Inquisitor with the light decoy sword as if it was the real thing, and his leader was no more than a greyspawn wretch. Despite their own skill in battle, eventually Blackwall topples the Inquisitor with a particularly forceful clash of sword against shield, followed by the clash of head and ground. His anger released, Blackwall quickly begins to apologise, kneeling over his dazed friend with a grimace beneath his beard. âI didnât mean to hit you that hard, but I didnât think youâd fall that hard, either.â He offers a hand, and the supposed Herald accepts with a laugh, smiling despite the fresh lump on their head. Heâs ready to call it a day and head into the barn, when the Inquisitorâs laughter trails off with three soft words. Spinning around, the warden raises a dark, bushy brow. âYou what?â
âI just⌠I love you.â They repeat, clearer and with a smile. Blackwall stammers, mumbles, shakes his head, then offers the Inquisitor a sad smile, face drawn with pity.
âYou really ought'nât.â
Bull: The Iron Bull is drinking, as usual, with the chargers. What he doesnât expect is for the Inquisitor to join them so readily. âYou know boss, we donât just drink any old swill⌠this is strong stuff.â
The Inquisitor reassures him that theyâll be fine, and accepts the enormous tankard Bull passes to them. Despite their reassurances, Bullâs statement proves to be true within the hour; slurring their words and stumbling into tables are the least of the Inquisitorâs worries when theyâre this drunk. Bullâs always been protective of his team, and the Inquisitor is no exception. The horned warrior scoops his boss up like a ragdoll and begins the trek from the tavern up to their quarters, which just so happen to be at the second-highest point in Skyhold. The Inquisitor stirs and wriggles in his arms, which doesnât make the job easier, but when they plant a surprisingly sweet kiss to his scarred cheek and slur an âI love youâ, all of the complaints in his head vanish. He chuckles quietly, a smile spreading across his face. âYeah, Boss, love you too.â
Dorian: Dorian loves himself. Itâs not a crime, heâs not ashamed, and why shouldnât he? The perfect son, or at least thatâs the way he was bred, like some prize goat. He doesnât let it show, but deep down, beneath his confidence and, though rare, his arrogance, Dorian hurts. Cast out by his family for being himself, he forgets, sometimes, that he can still be loved.
But mostly, Dorian loves himself. And so does a certain watchful Inquisitor.
It comes up as casually as it possibly could, up in the higher levels of the library. Dorian regales the Inquisitor with tales of his homeland, littering his stories with his own unique sense of wit and spite. He goes on and on - Dorian enjoys talking about himself - until he notices the distant look on the Heraldâs face.
âCome now, the stories might be boring, but focus on the man telling them.â
âThatâs precisely what Iâm doing, Dorian. Iâm madly in love with you, arenât I?â
âWell,â Hums Dorian, smirking beneath his mustache. âSo you should be. Now, onto our Divine-â
He doesnât show it, naturally, but their words are something heâll never let go of.
Vivienne: Vivienne is as close to flawless as the Inquisitor has ever seen. Sheâs the most regal person within the entirety of Skyhold, and she carries herself like she knows it. The Inquisitor, the prophet, the leader of the Inquisition and master of Skyhold, is humbled by her presence. On their way back to their quarters after another round of bonding with the chargers in the tavern, the Inquisitor passes her, lit by moonlight and practically ethereal. Swaying on their feet, the Inquisitor stops for a while to look at her.
âBy the Maker,â They murmur, catching her attention. âI think I love you.â
âOh my sweet thing,â Vivienne just laughs, looking at the Inquisitor as if they were an amusing child. âYou may be a charmer, but youâre not mine, and I will not be yours. Now,â She crosses her arms and nods to the staircase. âGo find a bed where you can sleep off that drinking, I donât want to have to fix any broken bones because you fell over a bannister.â
Cassandra: Despite all the times Cassandraâs had the Inquisitorâs back in battle, itâs during the peaceful hours that they truly begin to appreciate her. Theyâd oft find her sitting in some dark corner or on a secluded balcony in Skyhold, clutching a book, sometimes even a pen, her face creased in a dozen different emotions. They always found it endearing; she always found it humiliating when she realised sheâd been spotted bent over her novels and diaries. One day, the Inquisitor finally gathers the courage, and approaches her whilst sheâs engrossed in a book they know sheâs read a hundred times already. Wordlessly, they hold out a small, square package, tied with a simple string bow.
âInquisitor, what-â
âOpen it, please.â
She does, cautiously, and with a stern frown that melts into a look of awe when she reveals Varricâs latest novel, a blessing she never thought sheâd recieve. Deep down, the Seeker knows the Inquisitor probably had to bend some arms and make a few deals to get this; thatâs just the way Varric is. Smoothing a hand over the cover, Cassandra regains control of her face and returns to the best scowl she can muster, squinting at the Inquisitor. âWhy did you bring me this?â She asks, slowly and suspiciously. In the Templar order, friendships were often futile, and as a Seeker she knows that a professionalism is a must, and yet-
âWell, Cassandra,â Begins the Inquisitor, shying briefly. âI quite like you.â
âY-yes,â She blurts, pulling down her brows. âWe are⌠allies, friends, correct?â
The Inquisitor laughs, teasing her neverending professionalism, and leaves her to contemplate the exchange with a deep red blush, holding the book close.
Solas: Solas mostly keeps to himself in the library, usually the least social of the Inquisitorâs personal companions. If thereâs one person that seems determined to bring him out of his shell and crack the mystery that the apostate is, itâs the Inquisitor. Every time theyâre in the main keep, the Inquisitor ensures that they have a reason to pass through the library, and oftentimes they get sidetracked by the bald-headed elf. Whether theyâre feigning their interest in the Fade or not doesnât matter, only that Solas is notably impressed by their curiosity.
Solas eventually speaks up, âForgive me, but I must ask why one such as yourself wishes to know so very much about the Fade?â
The Inquisitor straightens their shoulders and decides to speak to Solas as he would want it: with candor, and subtly sweetened. âI suppose I must confess⌠Iâm far more interested in you, than I am in the Fade.â
âAh,â Solas fights off a blush in favour of a solemn shadow, looking away from the romantic hopeful for fear of returning their feelings. âThen it is poor fortune on you,-â His tongue almost slips and heâs far too close to calling them Ma Vhenan. â-my friendâŚâ

thanks for doing the kid quisition :P would you please now have them react to the kid quizzy's parents/friends showing up to help in any way? (like if their an elf, the entire clan shows up and tries to help? ect) like they even will ask the inner circle if they need them to do anything? "Heres those new inkwells you asked for mr varric!" "Lady vivienne, i believe these herbs would go well with your tea!" ect :P
Apologies for being 80-something days late! Iâve been incredibly sidetracked. I hope this is alright!
Sera: Sera hates it when people poke their noses into her personal business⌠unless she really wants them to. When a gaggle of helpful, friendly, and cheerful folk invade Skyhold, itâs her worst nightmare. She prefers to be alone in a tavern, drinking, than having however many well-meaners asking her questions and being far too nosy. Nosiness and pranks are her thing, and she wonât put up with being on the recieving end!
Cole: Cole. He wants so much to help them all. Inside each and every one, from the kids to the very eldest, he can see their desires, their fears, their hopes. He wants to put all of their fears to rest, to make their minds quiet again, but he canât. They are too many, and he is too few. Cole is just cole. He canât help but be overwhelmed by them all.
Varric: Between his humour and charm, Varricâs always easy to get on with, and he does his best to entertain the Inquisitorâs relatives while theyâre there. He âmisplacesâ Bianca one night after some mischievous nieces and nephews take a look. Certain aunts and uncles disapprove of the rogue, naturally, but certain cousins on the other hand⌠Well, his stories are a favourite, family-round.
Blackwall: Blackwallâs a hit among the younger visitors, though he does gravitate towards the battle-weary when he feels the desperation to be understood. While the adults are out rebuilding the damaged areas of Skyhold, heâll sit in the barn and show off his wonderful carpentry skills to the childrenâ he even lets them keep the little wooden griffons that he makes.
Cass: Cassandra scares most of the newcomers. Sheâs happy with that, for the most part. But when she needs to get work done and people run away from her as soon as she raises her voice, it becomes tiresome. Those who are courageous enough to approach her are awed by her skill in battle, and the rest are unpleasantly shocked when they find her reading one of Varricâs more - ahem - popular novels in the corner of the tavern.
Bull: Bull might not have the most family friendy interests, but he loves gatherings. The more the merrier, in his mind. He drinks with the older members of the family, and regales the youngsters with countless tales and legends. Bull even lets some of the particularly little ones sit on his shoulders. If theyâre extra lucky, they get to play with his horns. Krem finds it incredibly amusing.
Solas: The entrance to the library has always been Solasâ space. Whatever scrolls, spells, books, journals or documents he needed were always at his disposal, and with minimal bother. And, mostly, the other members of Skyhold left him to it, until the Inquisitorâs family arrives. Then, the library is aflood with curious young ones, trying to read each and every boom thatâs heavier than them; and hard workers, sorting thousands of sheets of paper in places he canât keep track of; and finally, the weathered ones, coming to find a quiet place, or to ask him questions about his history. Solas appreciates those visitors the most.
Vivienne: Vivienne practically lives for the opportunity to throw lavish balls and celebrations, so when the Inquisitorâs entire family appears at the gates of Skyhold, sheâs ready. She wouldnât dare make it obvious, but everybody knows that the mage has a soft spot for the young Inquisitor, so she bites her tongue when she wants to throw a sizzling comment to any of their relatives. Instead, she preoccupies herself with showing the curious ones some small tricks to stay away from the familyâs bulk.
Dorian: Dorianâs a flirt, that much is obvious to anybody with a pair of eyes and an ear, so thereâs a large demographic among the Inquisitorâs family that quickly figure out that their favourite place in Skyhold is the library. Dorian orders them around with the utmost glee, watching them run up and down the halls and stairs with arms full of books he has no real use for. Dorian chuckles and smiles: and thus nobody complains.
Cullen: Cullen does his best to play the part of a happy-to-help knight in shining armor, but it exhausts him. The endless new faces to learn and then forget and then relearn; the neverending stream of requests; the battle to find everyone somewhere to sleep; and by the Maker, those children! He hides away from curious aunties in his tower.
Josie: Josephine was born to organise people. Nevertheless, she never imagined that the Inquisitor had such a vast family⌠the poor Antivan is sure that some of these people must be lying, surely? Regardless of her personal opinion, Josie is glad to help any of them. She cleverly assigns individual family members to tasks that she knows theyâll be useful in, and with her smarts and their numbers, Skyhold is whipped right into shape. Josephineâs a favourite amongst the elderly relatives.
Leliana: Leliana keeps to herself at first, wary of the influx of new visitors; itâs been a long time since she felt comfortable around so many strangers. Her initial excuse is âspyworkâ and she makes sure to emphasize how âtop secretâ her job is. It works, for a while, until one day she canât help but notice that one of the Inquisitorâs aunts is wearing a wonderful pair of shoes, complete with ribbon and a little pearl, and she squeals. After that, Leliana simply must make some friends.

DA:I crew reacts to having an inquisitor thats also 12? (please would you include the advisors? thank you! good luck with the blog!)
Thanks for the request! I hope you like this as much as I liked writing it, since it sure was fun to think about!
Sera: She laughs for a while, because, well, look at them! Sheâs got boots older than them! But in the end, Sera knows better than anybody that a lack of maturity doesnât mean you canât do the right thing⌠and âkick some nobles in the arse!â
Cole: Coleâs completely unfazed. To him, the only thing that counts is what their intentions are, and their soul. If anything, he gets along with them better because of it, since he doesnât always understand the grown-ups. Itâs nice to have someone else around with clearer intentions.
Varric: âWell, look at you.â Murmurs the dwarf as the Inquisitor-to-be approaches. Heâs not thrown off by the size, for obvious reasons, but he likes the youth they have. It gives them character, and definitely makes them stand out in a room full of grizzled warriors!
Solas: Heâs surprised, initially. This child is the worldâs only hope? After sealing their first rift, however, and destroying legions of demons while they did so, Solas decides that heâs impressed with the young one. He offers them all the respect that they deserve.
Dorian: He finds it hilarious. He laughs, at first, then laughs more, and more, until the imminent threat of death in an alternate future distracts him. Once theyâre free, the mage helps the Inquisitor quite readily, though he also recieves some reprimands for his neverending quips about the Inquisitorâs⌠youthfulness.
Vivienne: Vivienne makes sure sheâs especially callous towards anyone who mocks the Inquisitor. When one of the Lords at her ball tries to question their validity and their experience, Vivienne freezes him solid and places him in the centre of the ball as an elaborate ice sculpture, and a reminder that the Inquisitor is an honoured, and unadmittedly adorable, guest.
Cassandra: Walking into the rubble and ruins left of the Conclave, the last thing Cassandra expected to find was a delirious child with a glowing hand. Out of fear for herself and the young one, Cassandra ordered that they be taken to a cell where they would be safely monitored. When it came to getting rough, the Seeker couldnât bring herself to do it. Later on, she tries her best to watch over the Inquisitor, although a maternal attitude was never meant for her.
Blackwall: As a weathered warrior, Blackwall is used to seeing all types on the battlefield. When he first came across the Grey Wardens, he noticed how diverse their ranks were, and saw no reason that the Inquisition should be any different. Although, sometimes he worries that heâs getting too old, especially when a twelve year old is wielding weapons beside him and leading an army.
Bull: After he sent Krem to invite the Inquisitor to a special showing of Bullâs Chargers, he couldnât quite believe it when, storming up the beach, comes what might as well be an infant, dressed up in armor and cloth and wielding deadly weapons. Similarly to Dorian, Bull laughs for a good long while, but as long as you can break a few bones and get the job done with a smile at the end of the day, heâll accept anything.
----------------- ADVISORS -----------------
Josephine: She thinks theyâre absolutely adorable, but always takes them seriously when the moment demands it. Regardless, she still indulges them in jokes and occasionally orders sweets to be carried to them as a surprise.
Cullen: As a former Knightâs Captain of the Templars, Cullen sometimes has high expectations in war. What he doesnât expect is for such a young person - a child, really - to be such an effective leader.
Leliana: When Leliana met the Hero of Ferelden for the first time, they were both still very young, but when she walked into the holding cell and found Cassandra interrogating⌠a child, Leliana could hardly contain her surprise. She almost called for an immediate release, but Leliana knows better than most that danger can come in all shapes and sizes. When the Inquisitor proves to be harmless, for the most part, Leliana is quick to warm to them. Harkening back to her own youth, she loves to bring them sweets and trinkets that her scouts find.
#i know these are all different lengths sorryyyy#i know certain companions a lot better than the others#solas is DEFINITELY my weakest#i love the advisors tho!!!#also yay!#my first request done!#da:i#dragon age reacts#sera#dorian pavus#solas#vivienne de fer#iron bull#the iron bull#blackwall#warden blackwall#thom rainier#cassandra pentaghast#cole#varric#varric tethras
