Two years after Corypheus' defeat, the Inquisitor can meet Sera before the Exalted Council. She invites the Inquisitor to play some pranks on people by throwing pies at random passersby's faces. Afterwards, they discuss possible changes to the Inquisition once the Exalted Council is over and invites the Inquisitor to be a Red Jenny. When Maryden Halewell starts singing "Sera Was Never", Sera breaks her lute calling the song creepy. In the end Sera went back to her life as a Red Jenny. If Cassandra or Leliana is Divine, she offers the services of the Friends of Red Jenny to the Divine should the nobles get out of line.

Sera left the Inquisition with scarcely more ties than when she began, disappearing back into her confusing weave of favors and friends. After seeing the world brought to the brink by arrogance and pride, it was a blessing to return to normal—however strange a normal it might be.

With the Inquisition now serving the Divine / With the Inquisition disbanded, Sera returned to the singular and plural role of Red Jenny...because nobility and grammar could both still eat it. Many noted how Sera's methods had changed after seeing the Inquisitor stand for everyone. This Red Jenny was more focused, tactical, and, some dared say, effective. She and her network could also be counted on to act in the interests of the supposedly desk-bound / supposedly retired Inquisitor. Sera remained a formidable ally of allies, intent on proving that the powerful weren't, and that it was friends who mattered over all.

Inquisitor becomes a Red Jenny, peacekeeper Inquisition / Inquisition disbanded

With the Inquisition now answering to the Divine / With the Inquisition disbanded, Sera joined the Inquisitor in officially retiring from scaring people in high places. By formal account, both would lead boring, safe lives nowhere special doing not much at all. And with that comforting lie, those in power continued their fragile lives as though all was back to normal. Meanwhile, Red Jenny, an entirely separate person not at all collectively embodied by Sera, the Inquisitor, and countless friends continued to make a difference, or just have fun, where and when the impulse struck.

Romanced

Sera saw the world with the Inquisition, and would continue to explore it after... always with her Wifey remaining within a remaining arm's reach. The Inquisitor and Red Jenny, finding a balance, or counterbalance, or however they decide to make it work. Rivals could only expect the unexpected. And arrows. So many arrows.

The Verchiel March is a companion quest for Sera in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Sera says there's trouble in Verchiel. She's asked for an Inquisition presence—a few troops to march through town—to spook the nobles pushing around her people there.

Sera learns of the nobles' squabble over the land and how it affects the everyday people, and asked the Inquisitor for a small favour, involving the Inquisition soldiers marching through the town of Verchiel. If the Inquisitor agrees and allows their soldiers to march through the town, it puts Harmond's and Morveau's plans to waste as none can claim the land.

Upon hearing this news, some of the people affected ask Sera to meet them. However, it turns out to be a trap set up by Harmond, as he forced his servants under the threat of death to lure the infamous "Red Jenny" out in the open. He proceeds to kill Sera's informant, and then sics his mercenaries at Sera. Once his entourage is dead, Harmond realises that Sera came to the meeting with no other than the Inquisitor, and so he pleads to parley.

When talking to him, he will suggest an alliance between his family and Inquisition, much to the dislike of Sera. She warns the Inquisitor not to talk to Harmond. She can then be directed to kill him straight away, or Harmond can be either let go, or his lands can be acquired by the Inquisition via a Nobility Knowledge speech check.

Didn't encounter Harmond

Sera's plot was not completed or Harmond is alive.

2. Sera killed Harmond on her own

Sera eliminated Harmond, making him pay a final price for his betrayal.

If the Inquisitor does speak to him, they can only ask him two out of four available questions before Sera loses her patience and beats Harmond to death.

The Inquisitor encouraged Sera to eliminate Harmond and she did so, gladly.

It should be noted that neither entering into a deal, nor telling Harmond he'll serve the Inquisition, has any practical effect on the game, other than dialogue during the following cutscene. He cannot be recruited as an agent.

If in a romance with the Inquisitor, she breaks up with her. The Inquisitor can threaten her or tell her to leave which causes her to leave the Inquisition.

If her approval continues to drop, she will eventually leave the Inquisition on her own.

Bull later informs the Inquisitor that the Ben-Hassrath recognize the threat Corypheus and his Venatori pose and are willing to offer an alliance. To that end, they set up a joint effort to attack a Venatori red lyrium smuggling operation on the Storm Coast. Upon arrival, the party meets with Bull's contact, Gatt, a former elven slave whom Bull recruited on Seheron, who details the plan for a Qunari dreadnought to ambush the smuggling vessel before it reaches open waters. In the meantime, the Inquisitor, Bull and the Chargers would separately take two hills where the Venatori are stationed so their mages can't sink the dreadnought. Bull assigns the Chargers what he believes to be "the easy job", but a large Venatori force begins advancing on their position. Gatt insists that the Chargers hold the hill, as the dreadnought would be destroyed otherwise. Bull looks to the Inquisitor to decide whether or not to sacrifice the Chargers.

If the Chargers were sacrificed:

Bull has fully re-committed to the Ben-Hassrath once again and operates, unbeknownst to the Inquisitor, as a spy for Viddasala. If he is brought to the final confrontation at the Darvaarad, the Viddasala orders him to kill the Inquisitor, which he follows without question, betraying the party and declaring, "Change of plans. Nothing personal, bas." If he was not brought, he appears through a side door and joins his fellow Ben-Hassrath during the fight, saying it was smart of the Inquisitor not to bring him. Neither romance nor high approval will prevent his betrayal and he will have to be killed. Cole even notes that his heart held no regrets over the decision. During a later conversation with Solas, he remarks upon Bull's betrayal as evidence of the Inquisition's eventual fate. Bull's betrayal also causes Tal-Vashoth mercenaries to be looked on suspiciously, causing their lives to become more difficult. If romanced, many blame the Inquisitor for the Qunari attack.

It was never clear if the Iron Bull knew if he would be forced to turn upon the Inquisition, or if he was lying the entire time. Regardless, after his death, Tal-Vashoth mercenaries across Orlais and Fereldan were looked upon with suspicion. Those who remained in the South found their lives even harder as a result.

Iron Bull betrayal, romance

Many whispered that the Inquisitor was to blame for the Qunari attack, that he/she allowed him/herself to be blinded by lust and seduced into folly. The Inquisitor was mocked in tavern songs and scathing Orlesian plays for years to come.

3. Iron Bull saved Chargers

Bull chose to order a withdrawal, causing the Chargers to survive the day. The Qunari declared him Tal Vashoth and outcast him from the Qun.

The Ben-Hassrath send two agents to Skyhold to assassinate the Iron Bull. As he had noticed subtle signs of their arrival, Bull is easily able to counter their attack. He tells the Inquisitor that sending only two guys after him is a formality and that there's no need to retaliate.

The Iron Bull is enjoying drinks with his company at the tavern. The Chargers want to surprise him with a dragon skull as a birthday present. The Inquisitor can help them in this by occupying Bull with dialogue (requires the four 'Knowledge' Inquisition perks), or give up the charade to which Bull reveals he heard them dragging the skull all along. If brought to the final confrontation at The Darvaarad, Viddasala will plead with 'Hissrad' to rejoin them and orders him to kill the Inquisitor. However, Bull refuses and remains loyal to the Inquisition.

Trespasser epilogue:

With the Inquisition in its new role, the Bull's Chargers returned to taking jobs throughout Orlais and Ferelden.

Fighting demons and clearing out the remains of Venatori forces, the Iron Bull did his part to restore order to Thedas.

Dorian gives the Inquisitor a sending crystal so they can communicate. Those fighting at Dorian's side in Tevinter note that he remains in constant contact with the Inquisitor, and that these talks give him the strength to keep fighting.

If the Inquisitor is in a relationship with Dorian:

It is noted that Dorian's strength comes from a love he left behind and that on occasion the Inquisitor has been seen sneaking into the heart of Tevinter to aid his amatus.

Those fighting by Magister Pavus's side noted that he kept in constant communication with the Inquisitor via message crystal. Whether for vital information or for moral support, these talks seemed to give Dorian the strength to continue his fight.

After settling in at Skyhold, Mother Giselle informs the Inquisitor of a letter sent by Dorian's father, Halward, asking to meet with the family retainer at the Gull and Lantern in Redcliffe, but asks that they not tell Dorian. The Inquisitor can choose to reveal the letter to Dorian and either convince Dorian not to go or go with him to the tavern. The Inquisitor can also choose not to show Dorian the letter and instead just bring him to the tavern.

Upon entering the Gull and Lantern, Dorian is surprised to see his father instead. Dorian gets angry, revealing to the Inquisitor that when his father learned that he was gay and didn't want to keep up appearances by marrying his betrothed, he tried to use a blood magic ritual, which Dorian was taught was "the last resort of the weak mind", to change his sexuality and make him comply with his family's wishes. Halward defended that he wanted what was best for his son, but Dorian retorts that he only cared about himself and his legacy.

The Inquisitor can encourage Dorian to try to reconcile with Halward. Halward will then reveal that he feels guilty for having driven Dorian to the Inquisition, and wanted to ask for his forgiveness. Alternatively, the Inquisitor can suggest that they leave instead of talking with Halward, ending the quest. Either way, Dorian is grateful and thanks the Inquisitor for taking him to the meeting.

Though he is disgusted with the Inquisitor's behavior, he wishes to aid in fighting Corypheus just to prove that a Tevinter stood against him. You have the option of convincing him to stay or ordering him to leave. He will leave the party permanently if you punch him in the face.

Two years after Corypheus' defeat, before the Exalted Council starts, the Inquisitor can meet Cole after he subtly has an Orlesian noble relinquish his table so that a bird may feast on his left over bread crumbs. He then joins the Inquisitor as a companion as they uncover a Qunari plot in the midst of Exalted Council's negotiations with the Inquisition.

After the Inquisition confronts the Grey Wardens, Cole begs Solas to bind him in order to prevent him from being controlled like the demons in Adamant Fortress. Solas refuses and instead proposes that the Inquisitor obtain a Rivaini amulet that protects a spirit from being controlled through blood magic. Once the amulet is retrieved, Solas finds that something is blocking its magic from affecting Cole. Varric claims that it's because Cole is no longer a spirit, but a person. Cole senses the location of the thing preventing the amulet from working. When the Inquisitor, Cole, Solas, and Varric reach its location, they find the templar that left the original Cole to die in his cell in the White Spire. Cole goes into a rage and attacks the templar, chasing him away. Solas suggests Cole embrace his essence as a spirit of compassion and forgive the templar, while Varric suggests Cole face him head on and come to terms with what happened.

The Inquisitor did not help Cole further his identity in the world.

Cole will tell the Inquisitor the tale of how he met the mortal Cole and how the forgotten apostate's last words to him as a spirit were "Thank you" for holding his hand in his final moments. If Cole's personal quest has not been completed, Cole will state that the memory of being unable to help the mortal Cole weighs on him and keeps him there. Whether the Inquisitor encourages or discourages Cole to forget the mortal Cole, Cole will be unable to forget him.

In the end, Cole was closer to a spirit: detached, but still driven by compassion.

If the Inquisitor chooses to have Cole forgive the templar:

When Solas and Cole confront the templar, Solas advises Cole to feel the templar's regret for his actions. Cole forgives him, then takes his pain away by making him forget. Now that Cole accepts himself as a spirit of compassion, the amulet protects him from being bound or controlled by others. He feels everyone's pain but he can approach them unseen and whisper soothing words to them to ease their pain.

Trespasser/epilogue:

He will subtly play matchmaker between Maryden Halewell and Krem (if the Chargers are alive) or Zither (if the Chargers are dead).

Cole returned to the Fade, saying that there was more pain coming, and that he knew where compassion was most needed. He promised that his friends in the Inquisition would remember him... and that where the hurt was greatest, he would help.

3. Cole more human

Cole was closer to a human than a denizen of the Fade when the Inquisition declared victory.

If the Inquisitor chooses to have Cole confront the templar:

When Varric and Cole confront the templar, Varric gives his crossbow to Cole so he can execute the templar. Cole pulls the trigger, but does not fire a bolt. Learning from Varric that killing the templar won't make his pain go away, Cole tries to make the templar forget, but Varric stops him, telling him both Cole and the templar need to remember. Solas says the amulet will never work on Cole and Varric insists it is because Cole is now more human and is no longer vulnerable to being controlled because of it. Cole retains his skills and can still feel people's pain—albeit less loudly and more easily drowned out by his own pain—but he can now be seen and remembered by people and begins to feel things he had never felt before. He is also more aware about the complexity of human nature and is able to remember things he's done in the past. By becoming more human, he loses the ability to make people forget him as well. Later on, Cole can be found on the Skyhold battlements, pondering on how Corypheus had managed to cheat death. This leads him to question if he could have saved the mortal Cole. If Cole was encouraged to forgive the templar from his personal quest, he will make himself forget about the mortal Cole—thus erasing his Cole persona. Though he will still acknowledge being addressed by the name Cole, he has fully embraced being a spirit and now speaks in a monotone voice.

In Trespasser:

It is revealed that he and Maryden have become a couple.

Trespasser epilogue:

Cole took to the road with Maryden to find a new life and a new way to be human. Wherever Maryden went to sing, people found old pains eased and hearts made happier... even if they didn't understand why.

Cassandra awkwardly gives the Inquisitor advice on marriage, after Varric led her to think the Inquisitor was about to tie the knot. If romanced, she believes that the Inquisitor is proposing to her. If Cassandra was encouraged to rebuild the Seekers, she tells the Inquisitor that she found some surviving Seekers and upheld her promise to show them the Book of Secrets. Those she deemed suitable were allowed to join her in restoring the Seeker order. She now trains new recruits with full disclosure of their secrets, though it is a slow process

Cassandra looks through the Book of Secrets kept by the Lord Seeker. She questions whether she should reform the Seekers. From the book, she's learned that she and all Seekers were secretly made Tranquil and subjected to the touch of a Spirit of Faith to be granted their abilities and restore their minds; Lord Seeker Lambert had always known how to reverse Tranquility and covered it up.

If asked how she would go about reforming the Seekers, Cassandra states she plans to find the scattered Seekers, have them all read the Book of Secrets together, leaving no more secrets between them, and establish a new charter that will be devoted to doing the Maker's work. Although Cassandra is unsure of the specifics of what doing the Maker's work entails, she believes that new Seekers must make a conscious effort of seeking out and defining that purpose. The Inquisitor can choose to support reformation or not.

The Inquisitor can further inquire about the cure to Tranquility in conversation with Cassandra. Cassandra states she plans to further investigate whether the cure can be refined so that a cured mage may reverse the Rite without being overcome with emotions. Should she succeed, she intends to spread news of the refined cure herself.

Cassandra didn't rebuild Seekers

Cassandra did not rebuild the Seeker order.

Cassandra, encouraged by the Inquisitor, decided the Seekers were too important to let disappear, and decided to rebuild the order from the ground up.

Cassandra also spent time in the Hunterhorn Mountains north of Orlais, where she worked to rebuild the Seekers. For a time, the new Seekers remained reclusive, showing no interest in worldly affairs and working to a purpose few outside their order could guess.

Cassandra later asks for the Inquisitor's assistance in investigating the disappearance of her fellow Seekers, suspecting them to be prisoners of Corypheus. Tracking the Seekers to the castle of Caer Oswin, Cassandra discovers evidence that Samson/Calpernia sold the Seekers to the Order of Fiery Promise after learning that the Seekers were resistant to red lyrium. Venturing further into the castle, they find Cassandra's apprentice, Daniel, who is suffering from being fed red lyrium and being implanted with a demon. He reveals that Lord Seeker Lucius sold his men to the Promisers and has been operating out of Caer Oswin the whole time. After granting Daniel a merciful death, Cassandra confronts Lucius and kills him in the ensuing fight.

Back at Skyhold, Cassandra looks through the Book of Secrets kept by the Lord Seeker. She questions whether she should reform the Seekers. From the book, she's learned that she and all Seekers were secretly made Tranquil and subjected to the touch of a Spirit of Faith to be granted their abilities and restore their minds; Lord Seeker Lambert had always known how to reverse Tranquility and covered it up.

Revelations is a companion quest for Blackwall in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Blackwall has left the Inquisition. It appears to have something to do with the impending execution of a man called Mornay, one of the soldiers responsible for the Callier massacre.

Travel to Val Royeaux next. The execution is taking place on the west side of the Summer Bazaar. Just as Mornay is about to be hanged, Blackwall interrupts the execution, and informs the crowd that he was responsible for the murdering of Callier family. His real name is in fact Thom Rainier, a former captain in Celene I's army and Mornay's former commanding officer.

After this the Inquisitor can access the Val Royeaux Prison in order to speak to Rainier and learn more details of his past.

They have a chance to question Rainier. He reveals his true past as a captain in the Orlesian army, his part in the massacre of the Calliers, the circumstances of the real Blackwall's death and his assumption of his identity. When he learned that Mornay had been captured, Rainier couldn't let him take the fall for his crime.

Didn't go after Blackwall

The Inquisitor did not investigate Blackwall's disappearance.

Trespasser Epilogue:

If the Inquisitor never discovered Rainier's deception, he will not be present at the Winter Palace. Instead, a letter reveals that Rainier left the Inquisition six months after Corypheus' defeat and turned himself in for his crimes. His current whereabouts are unknown.

2. Blackwall remained imprisoned

The Inquisitor elected to leave Blackwall behind bars after discovering his deception.

3. Blackwall left prison as Rainier

Blackwall was released from prison, and his true identity was revealed.

Blackwall is pardoned and now openly lives as Thom Rainier, pledging his future to the Inquisition.

Trespasser Epilogue:

Rainier spent his time tracking surviving members of his old company so he could apologize to them and help them rebuild their lives if he could. After the events of the Exalted Council, Rainier traveled across Thedas to give hope to the condemned and the forgotten. In the deepest pits and prisons in Thedas, he found the good in people. By showing faith in those who had none, Rainier lifted them up and made them better than they were.

4. Blackwall left prison as Grey Warden

Blackwall was released from prison, but sentenced to undergo a proper Grey Warden Joining after completing his work with the Inquisition.

Blackwall will be judged by the Grey Wardens after Corypheus is defeated.

Trespasser Epilogue:

Rainier eventually survived his Joining and went on to become a Grey Warden stationed in the Vimmark Mountains. He reports to Warden Stoudenmire who is conducting an ongoing investigation of the Vimmark Prison. He is expected to return to the Wardens after the events of the Exalted Council. After the events of the Exalted Council, Rainier goes to Weisshaupt fortress to pledge himself to the Grey Wardens for good. In the years that followed, he was seen faithfully carrying out the duty of the Wardens and helping others along the way.

5. Blackwall left prison as false Grey Warden

Blackwall was released from prison, and the Inquisition covered up his deception.

Blackwall will impersonate a Grey Warden in the service of the Inquisition.

Trespasser Epilogue:

He will remain serving the Inquisition and pretend that he is a Grey Warden. He will be at the Winter Palace but a letter would reveal that the Grey Wardens at Weisshaupt have realized this deception and are requesting him to be released to the Grey Wardens. Later dialogue at the Winter Palace reveals that Blackwall has undertaken his Joining however his name remains 'Blackwall' instead of 'Thom Rainier'.
