Headcanon that with the original concept design for light furies that they could make good tidal class dragons. Like, the top of them is dark like maybe a sea stack or rocks near the sea, so they could sleep and rest in peace, maybe even sunbathing on the rocks without worry from overhead attacks cause camouflage. Then their bellies are white so they can blend in with the sky and clouds and use the sun to blind threats. Plus, hunting in a similar way to peregrine falcons of attacking from above cause they can blend in with the sun and clouds not being seen from below. They spend a lot of time at sea due to the open sky and smaller prey of birds and maybe small dragons, even fish.

Just a head canon of me getting carried away with light fury redesign. If you don't like it, that's fine it isn't canon. I'm just having fun, and the original concept designs remind me of orcas

We were robbed, and I won't be silenced about it. She had orca potential in the best way, possible. Her original concept having a darker top and white underbelly making blending in from above and hunting from above perfect. She also actually looks like a dragon and not one of those types of cartoons where, for some reason, the female character has to look different to the rest of its species. I don't understand why they did it either cause like, they didn't with any other species, for example, Stormfly was beautiful but she doesn't look different to any of the other deadly nadders, deadly nadders are a beautiful species and they all look relatively the same despite sex (no, that underbite of that one deadly nadder does not mean males have underbites, go look up Kingstail). I wish they kept more loyal to this design. It's amazing and fits the feel of httyd more
