I adore Astrid's face in the first movie and don't like how it was changed later on so here's my attempt to save her unique features, complaining under the cut as usual

I feel like in httyd 2 and 3 they got rid of her "imperfections" and made her look more like elsa frozen or something, she's more plastic and conventionally attractive looking imo... in the picture below you can see how I tried to understand what exactly happened here

Could some of these changes be considered her aging? Ears yes, everything else - not really, sorry

Same shit happened with Valka and Im going to kill people, WHAT IS THIS TONOWARI WHY IS SHE WEARING MAKEUP AND HAS DIFFERENT SKULL STRUCTURE

Fun facts about Ignis! About the instinctual connection, yes, Crow technically has it too, but him (and Lark by extension) have a much more intense form of it

The reason he’s scared of sheep is because he was supposed to be helping herd some as a chore, then one of them decided it needed to chase him down. He was 9 at the time and to this day will start sweating at the sight of them.

As for the new name, Horizon.. well, she’s going to be introduced soon :)

It’s been a while since I’ve drawn my boys. Here’s Ignis with his full headpiece! I decided to make it a sort of crown resembling Fireworm head spikes as a commemoration to Veeile and his reputation as “the Fireworm Prince” and also his little neck scarf/mini cloak thing covering his lower face in the colder climates since that’s one of the few parts that get cold even with his armor in

And here’s Crow! A lot less extravagant than our resident peacock Ignis, mainly since he’s taken to being more Nomadic by this point. He’s known as the Untamed simply because he tends to act somewhat like a dragon in movements and even a few of their sounds.
