Just think about how cute it would be for Aoba to be mixing what he already knew with the new culture he was adapting to in their daily life. German breakfast with a Japanese lunch, slipping back and forth between Japanese and German as they go about their morning together, both settling into a lifestyle they never thought they'd have~

Mizuki is more than happy to give Noiz his very first tattoo but Noiz isn't quite sure how he feel about this intimate moment being shared with Koujaku. Koujaku on the other hand is more than ready to see Noiz tear up like the sissy baby he knows he is.

Aoba and Clear aren't roommates but they might as well be. Aoba's dorm is almost always unused and half of his stuff stays in his boyfriend's room. To help free up enough space for Aoba to move in, Clear has been slowly converting his salvage collection into art, making all sorts of antique bottle and mason jar crafts to sell, give away as gifts and use as decor. When they met, his single was packed full of things he brought home from his frequent walks and Aoba helped him get his bottle and bauble hoarding under control. He has a fairly popular Etsy shop that he sells his work in as well as at the on-campus events that allow for independent vendors. He doesn't need the money, as his late grandfather left him a considerable amount to fund his education and young adult life, but he enjoys spending the proceeds on Aoba when they aren't too busy snuggling and making out.

If you were one of the official DMMDSS 2014 pinch hitters, it has been brought to my attention that your deadline is January 8, 2015! In the event that you have finished a submission, please still post it for your giftee on your own tumblr and do the following:

Use the @ directive to tag their blog so that it appears in their Activity feed

Use their username (or preferred tag, if listed on their blog) in the tag field so that it appears in their tag

Tag your submission with #dmmdsecretsanta, #dmmdsecretsanta2014 and #dmmdsecretsantaevent

Optional, send an ask or submission to your giftee to let them know they haven't been forgotten

We will be giving a full 24 hours for all official pinch hitters to post their respective gifts before we begin compiling the list of people who still have not received a gift. At that time, all of the people who have offered to be the second round pinch hitters will receive messages with further instructions. All the people who have yet to receive a gift will also be receiving a message inquiring as to their preferences for their gifts.

I thought the deadline for pinch hitters was the eighth? (tomorrow where I am) I didn't get a gift, but I was waiting to see tomorrow come and go before speaking up. I know a pinch hitter who's gifting their giftee tomorrow.

I honestly don't know what the deadlines for anything were and have very little that I can refer to at this point (the Google cache is from Nov 1, so not too useful!) but if that was the deadline for pinch hitters, we'll definitely wait to see who gets things tomorrow before properly compiling our list. Thank you for the information!

Like I said in the original post, this was something we were noticing and concerned about, so we're basically just picking up from where everything was abandoned and trying to see what we can do to make sure everyone has a good (albeit belated) Christmas.

At this point, I'm just assuming that some people didn't, as that's unfortunately part of this kind of thing and the entire reason pinch hitters exist in the first place. It seems like people tended to seek out their assignments on their own, but I'm concerned that with the lack of leadership and central location someone might've been left behind.

As I said in the initial post, I'm just trying to find out if anyone did get left behind, and if so I have a couple of friends who are willing to pitch in and help out to make sure everyone gets something, even if it's late.

I realized to-day that the DMMD Secret Santa blog (@dmmdsecretsanta / http://dmmdsecretsanta.tumblr.com) vanished (along with the user that had been in contact with me via ask about my sign-up and assignment). I had tried messaging them about why not all of the submissions had been posted and never got a response, though I suppose this might be why.

I have a few questions for anyone still tracking these tags:

Is there anyone still waiting on a gift who did not receive one? Do you know of anyone who didn't receive a gift?

If you were a pinch hitter, did you get called in to fill a spot that was left unfulfilled?

If there are people who didn't get gifts, would you still be willing to fill in?

If there are people still waiting, eemamminy, xretrovirus and myself are willing to take up pinch hitter status to ensure everyone gets something to their liking. If there are any pinch hitters that either did or did not called on, please drop me an ask to let me know what happened.

I honestly don't care about any of the drama that surrounded the deletion of the mod's blog(s?), just whether or not people got what they were promised. Additionally, if I'm somehow overstepping, just let me know.

Otherwise, anyone who didn't get a gift, please send me an ask along with your specifics and we'll see about getting you something. If you did get something, please don't claim you didn't. I have no way of checking who was even signed up, so please just be honest about it.
