hey it’s been a hot minute since i posted!!

This was a huge project that took a lot of time and energy, and there's still so much stuff i want to add and change and perfect. I'm posting it now though, because otherwise i will never call it done. But! Expect future updates at some point!! (Not soon tho) And if i add something, i will absolutely post it here 👍

the girl in my creative writing class offered me a coffee if i drew her astarion as a joke (i didnt take it as a joke, clearly)

i NEED to get this out of my head it's been clanking around in there for a month plus

i have this very small headcanon about gillion that means a lot to me that gill had a speech impediment when he was a kid, specifically rhotacism, or difficulty pronouncing r's (or the equivalent in common OR whatever language was spoken in the undersea)

the elders worked really hard to "fix it", i.e. vigorous violent training because "do you think anyone is going to fear a champion who can't even speak properly?" it still slips out sometimes because of course they didn't do actual speech therapy with him, they just essentially tried to beat it out of him. but when it happens, he doesn't mention it and neither does anyone else because they just kind of assume that it's a sensitive subject, but gill is (or was) very embarrassed about it because of what the elders told him.

i think he would have brought it up to caspian during one of their late night chats and caspian would help as best he can, but it's never going to be 100% gone. he's still always gonna have this little thing that makes him unique that he silently hates because of his upbringing.

The most terrifying part of having memory issues is when you can feel something from 5 seconds ago be thrown out the window and there's an empty hole where it once was. You remember that you forgot something.

stinky designs cause i'm so inconsistent when drawing them + a few design notes

he was surprisingly the hardest to do (i redrew the whole ref sheet 3 times before i was actually happy with it) but i think i like how he turned out the most

i wanted to play around with shark features in his design because they're the one fish group i know anything about

the epaulette markings make him look royalish so i think it fits (also epaulette sharks are just adorable)

i don't even know why i drew pretzel like that. i zoned out and that came out

i saw some people give him freckles and.. yeah.

he steals people's necklaces and, like any normal person, wears them on his boots

the kerchief has a rose pattern but it's not that visible

i don't like how the gloves and tied shirt overlap tho

her hair has lighter streaks because it just looks cool
