writing twp aus are so frustrating because girlie tell me why dru has no actual plot relevance. i want to include her in the important stuff here why is everything about her always about her insecurities, being a lonely kid who wants her older siblings to see her as reliable/an adult/equal to them, and about her romances. where’s the actual overall plot relevance. please cc give her relevance beyond her romances & personal insecurities.

funny thing about stranger things is that people say it’s against conformity but at the same time have the strongest urge to pair the spares. not everyone needs to be in a romantic relationship. some of yall are anti conformity til it comes to amanormativity and then conformity’s fine actually

i’d also think that, in order for the party to work as in canon, lucas and dustin would also have to be girls in a lesbyler universe. max at the very least would have to be a boy, and el could go either way. i’d keep the older/younger kids the same because they don’t affect the party’s dynamics as much.

name suggestions for the others:

- lucas could be a nicole, danielle, ashley?

- dustin could be a gretchen, abigail, julia?

i’d think whatever name dustin & lucas have wouldn’t have a nickname, though.

- max could be a casey, madison, addison, some name that we read as more feminine sounding/a more masculine sounding name that has a feminine sounding nickname. my automatic thought comparison is ivan -> vanya, but obviously that’s russian, so. like. maybe jesse, nicholas -> nicky/nickie, stephen -> steph, something like that.

- el could remain as she is, but if she was a boy i’d probably just change jane -> jack or john.

honestly i don’t think they’d drastically change from canon, for the most part. it’d just be taking a look at a different side of things, ie would lucas/nicole want to join basketball or cheerleading (could lead to interesting chrissy dynamics)? how would dustin/gretchen’s nerdiness be taken by the rest of the community especially when her mom is a single mom? how would them playing dnd be viewed by the rest of the community, and the hellfire club? the party as girls would be more accepted as being emotionally close and touchy longer, so would it be how mina & lizzie interacted with each other differently than they do with nicole & gretchen that’d make people side eye them?

max/steph’s plot would still be around the party growing up, him being a strange ‘other’ because he’s the only boy in the group, lizzie not wanting him to be their friend, etc. mina’s kidnapping would have different but also similar connotations to will’s, without explicitly spelling anything out. mina & lizzie’s friendship would be seen more as girls being friends until they don’t show any interest in guys like gretchen & nicole do. el would either be a fun boy who lizzie projects mina onto, or she’d be an acceptable outlet for lizzie to get close to while mina is gone.

@cherry-140 and i were discussing who is gonna be more focused on in twp. conclusion is that cc kinda has to do what the fans want so my question is

i become re-obsessed with the concept of khun being trans and being raised to be a princess of zahard every time i think about tower of god. just… yeah, he’s always had a rebellious spirit. but how complicated would it get to realize you’re a boy in a scenario where everyone is telling you that it’s better to be a girl and placing your whole value in being a girl?

like, a khun who realizes something’s up but isn’t quite certain if it’s because of how his family operates or if he’s uncomfortable with his gender. he’d be the runner-up if his sister failed, so he’d be expected to compete with her to be the best in eventuality to compete to be a princess. when he wins (because he was trying to make maria win, but she’s killed because of his request to have her be the princess, and his older sister still kills herself because of the shame), his mother wouldn’t have been an outcast, but his family still would’ve been ripped apart.

it’d also be so interesting after he starts climbing as khun, hiding being a princess & portraying himself as a failed khun son. he’d be the one with the knowledge that he can’t get close to people unless he’s willing to risk their lives. he’d know to put himself into a coma so zahard can’t control him. he’d have a lot more connections and doors opened if he publicly operated as a princess of zahard, but is he willing to do that?

anyways. lesbyler would both be butch. will would be the girl who’s a tad too tomboy for people’s comfort, and mike would be the girl who starts out dressing however her mom wanted her too (stereotypically feminine) who eventually becomes more comfortable with dressing more masc.

arguments about what label mike would use/whether he’s bi or gay are always interesting but in an exhausting way. like. post s2 bi mike was the default for bylers because m/levens would crucify them for ‘disrespecting mike’s canon sexuality’ and it’s only seemingly recently (around s4 or so?) that people are more comfortable saying that mike was never romantically interested in el

For those of you who have read the lost hours series know that James Herondale was the only person able to use the Herondale gun made by Christopher Lightwood. Now, I do not think that he was able to use the gun because he was Herondale. It was mentioned that he LOST THE ABILITY TO USE THE GUN AFTER HIS GRANDFATHER, BELIAL ( A PRINCE OF HELL!) DIED!

HE WAS BLE TO USE THE GUN BECAUSE HE WAS RELATED TO A PRINCE OF HELL.

With this we can assume that people who have a connection to the princes of hell can use the gun. It is the only firearm that can be used against a demon. The Princes of Hell are the ones controlling the demons. This is probably why someone with a connection or affiliation with them may be the only ones able to hone a weapon like the gun.

IT ISN'T THE HERONDALE GUN! IT IS THE PRINCE OF HELL GUN (that sounds awful). Kit and James being Herondales is probably just a coincidence.

Now, when you think of Ash being the last prince of hell think again. Because all evidence points to Kit.

tbh i don’t even necessarily think will is gonna be possessed in s5. i think it’s gonna be like how dracula began the process to turn mina into a vampire; henry is going to try to make will like him.

(and mina resists this as much as possible and is the key role in killing dracula by spying on him to figure out where he is, and after she and van helsing go to take out the vampire women, jonathan and quincey strike the final blows to dracula. are you picking up what i’m picking up.)
