Is the name MONO-9000 for this fangan's Monokuma delberate use of goroawase (9=ku, 0=ma[ru]) on your part? If so, I think it's very clever!

that's super cool and i would like to pretend it was on purpose LMFAO, but the name just comes from 2001: a space odyssey-- HAL-9000's big red eye, the cores in portal, and the giant monokuma timer in sdr2 were the big inspirations for MONO-9000's design!

I've got a question! Who/what would you name as some of your writing influences?

ohh this is a great question!! i don't consciously imitate a particular author or style, but here's some of the more influential pieces of media:

i was a bionicle and redwall kid

mom LOVES tv detective dramas so i grew up saturated in murder mysteries

in elementary/middle school i also got extremely into ?? turn-of-the-century science fiction??? (jules verne, h g wells etc) and i'm pretty sure it permanently screwed up my sense of what words are commonly used in english. do not recommend

my favorite YA series were artemis fowl and the bartimaeus trilogy (CRIMINALLY underrated)

as an adult with less energy i read mostly manga and bad creepypasta. some manga with writing i love are dorohedoro/dai dark, mob psycho 100, and mushi-shi

i mentioned ace attorney in another ask already but that's there too

homestuck (i know i know) was a big influence on the mixed-media aspect of dreadnought, but the format of the fic is borrowed from my friend roadie's first fangan haha (read her current one)

art fight is over so im back to working on dreadnought, but i had a couple of unexpected commissions pop up over the weekend and this update needs more art than i thought. i'll try to have it out this week but it will be done when it's done pretty much lol
