putting this under a cut because it's Technically spoilers, but only for some things mentioned in the carpenter/weaver/leatherworker quests (90-93).

Growing up, Mimiette's education I think was largely hands on and practical application things. Turali as a language is still fairly young, and it's mentioned that most Turali people as a result rely a lot more on oral histories than written language. She's got a strong love for her people's history though, and could easily recount all sorts of facts and details about her home.

Mimiette's primary written language is actually a branch of arcanima- written Turali was still uncommon growing up, so it made more sense to teach her the traditional elements of spellcraft handed down in their village. Her time adventuring has gotten her fairly fluent in written Eozrean now, but it took a little while for her to get it down.

What written Turali she did pick up when she was younger probably came a lot from Pelupelu traders who'd stop by the village. She definitely picked up arithmetic and stuff at first when she was little from listening to people bargain over prices of goods.

Launching a bit off the other food headcanon and Mimiette's love of spicy foods, I think she's really come to love Hannish curries and cuisine! The mix of sweet and spicy is something she already loved, so it's become a quick addition to her repertoire of recipes.

I think Mimiette's a big fan of spicy foods, and can always appreciate a well-cooked steak or something like that. She's definitely a huge fan of Turali staples like tacos, one of her favourite things is the special spicy tea they make in her village. (Warning: this tea has poison in it. Her family follows the dunesfolk tradition of feeding small amounts of poison from local wildlife to help build an immunity. she loves it but for the love of god don't drink it unaware-)

I think Mimiette gets a healthy amount of sleep, honestly! She's an adventurer, and more than capable of surviving on only a few hours of sleep, but she much prefers getting a full night's rest so she can tackle the day with as much energy as possible. Being around other people is honestly a surefire way to help her sleep- she grew up with 4 siblings, so hearing other people snoozing quickly gets her drowsy too.

Mimiette is very close with her family! She's got three older brothers (triplets) and a twin younger sister, so things were very chaotic in that household sometimes. She's been writing them a ton of letters ever since she left for Eorzea, and was really excited to finally get back home- though that reunion would've been more than a little chaotic, considering how she didn't really redact even the wilder details.

In particular, Mimiette and her sister Loloette are really close. They've always been able to know what the other is thinking, and will use that to help each other out and tease in equal measure. The cain instinct is strong in this family sometimes.

"Wish I could at least summon a carbuncle though... feels weird not even being able to manage that."

oh before i forget also! Mimiette is currently early 7.0, but I'll likely be changing her to post-patch after the spoiler embargo is up (she's Turali so she has a lot to think abt for this one lol).

Hopping worlds wasn't exactly something Mimiette had expected to become a repeat occurrence, but she liked to think she could roll with the punches at this point. Given there was no hooded 'stranger' to show her around this time, she'd been giving herself a tour instead- which currently involved hanging at a pub, where she'd noticed another lalafell. Though, given the circumstances...

"So are you just practicing with that thing, or did they take away your weapons too?" She'd noted Lilli wielding a wooden lance, and given her dictionary situation, she'd made what she felt was a safe assumption. "And after all the tomestones I needed to get for that grimoire..."

"Hey, I am not a snack!" She dodged to the side before the chocobo could chomp down on her head, grabbing her dictionary before remembering that it was... well, a dictionary, and not a grimoire. At least it was heavy enough that she could use it for whacking if need be.

"Of all the times to not have my chocobo whistle on me.."

It could be forgiven that the bright, fresh hues of the lalafell's hair, when seen under direct light after an eclipse, resembled nothing short of ripe fruit waiting to be plucked.

As for why the fruit was talking—well, chocobos rarely cared about that when they were hungry. Opening his mouth wide, Meteor suddenly started charging at the yummy round snack.
