This is gonna be long and so indulgent plus Aika is probably a mary-sue but here we go.

She kind of grew up a child-star in a way. Her parents were already famous; her mom used to be a model and now helps run her spy-like girls' academy. And her dad runs a huge corporation that makes gear and equipment for pro-heroes. Aika's mom wants her to be like her. In that she's kinda cold but seductive and business-savvy. So she makes Aika try out for little idol groups and stuff when she's a kid to get her used to the public eye. Aika didn't really like it, but she did get kinda 'known' after starring in an episode of a hero-based child tv show. But her dad saw that Aika was a more reserved person so he let her quit show-business.

She also developed her quirk late, she didn't know she had one until 7th grade when she started feeling the emotions of her crush at the time. She confesses to her crush and he accepts but he kind of just likes her because of the 'status' of dating someone like her. When he finds out what her quirk is, he shames her. (Okay, a lot of people suspect her mom of having a succubus-like quirk so they associate that with Aika as well, and being that Aika has a quirk to sort of manipulate emotions, they associate succubus stuff with it. Plus she do be looking hot. ) So, like the villains honestly, she has a negative look on hero society because of how they discriminate quirks. But she still wants to save people so she starts attending the spy school and becoming that kind of girl her mom wants her to be.

Fast forward to 2nd year of high school, because of the abundance of villains, U.A. decides to acquire help from the academy. It's a bit controversial because of the academy's teaching methods. Alot of people think GA is up to no good.

Anyways, Aizawa thinks Aika would be a good pairing with Deku because she could absorb some of his 'passionate' emotions to help him control his quirk. So during a secret spar session between the two, Aika is like 'fuck these people, I don't care about helping U.A.' so she absorbs all of his emotions and powers up and pretty much destroys him. ‘You were going to break your bones anyways~’ is something she would’ve said haha.

U.A. ends up making a 'special' class with select U.A. students and select GA students for them to kind of work together. This is how Aika meets Baku. She kind of hates him because he's praised so much on his quirk so they share ill-words to each other for a while. Aika is also blunt so when she's partnered with someone she tends to point out all their weaknesses (but she really just wants them to be safer), making it hard for her to make friends beyond the ones she made at the academy.

Fast-forward a bit, and Aika ends up sharing her real thoughts on hero-society (how they pretend they're goody good but really its spies like her and her mom who get the dirty work done underground) with Deku. And she gets a bit emotional during this. Baku overhears this and kinda starts thinking of her differently but Id still say he dislikes her more than likes her.

Fast-forward some more and during a villain attack outside of school Baku and Aika are fighting the villain together. But they lose and someone has to defeat the villain for them. They both feel shit about themselves.

The next day when Baku thinks everyone in class is gone, he cries out of frustration (he's remembers the All Might retirement and when Deku rescued him in the first episode) and this is when Aika lets someone touch her (hold her hand in this case) to feel her emotions for the first time in a long time. And from then on, they grow to like each other more and more because they end up feeling the same emotions about various situations so they go to each other whenever they just want to feel understood.

Sometimes when no one is around they just hug each other to feel each other's emotions and know they aren't alone. Baku ends up being the reason why she trusts people again and she starts becoming less bitchy and more just bratty lol and makes friends with U.A. students.

Lol I'd also say they get closer physically way quicker than emotionally. Aika is someone who just wants to feel good (whether its eating bad food, goofing off with friends, or even physical touch) so when she's doing something intimate with him she doesn't realize how she's actually falling in love with him, or that he is with her.

Like when she gets jealous, she doesn't realize its jealousy, she just thinks whatever girl is 'annoying' and makes her feel bad and doesn't think Baku should be around them. Also even when she is using her quirk with Baku and feels those 'love' feelings, she just knows it feels good but doesn't know its actually love. If that makes sense lol.

And Baku, while I think he DOES think about these things, and knows his feelings for her, he's too scared to admit it so he goes along with just the physical aspect of the relationship for a while.

EXTRA: If you wanna understand ig...the attitude of Aika, I think the song ‘BB’ by Shygirl does a good job. Its pretty much her anthem lol (and most things by Shygirl really!)
