A recall to one of his many sarcastic banters with her, words were their weapons & they clashed & struggled against one another like a game of fencing. Once upon a time; words would fail her, easy would it be for her to overheat like a kettle at his first attempt, but being within his presence for so long as made her confident, bold, & perhaps more stubborn than he would care for.

❝ & yet you seem to fall for them every time, one would think by now that you would become wise to my tricks. ❞

For a moment, just a moment, memory had slipped away their true intentions of their little game, his words draw out a hum from her throat, faux-pondering his offer, as if she had already made up her mind as they absentmindedly waltzed around the room.

The Raven is not so easily persuaded.

❝ Perhaps, at a different moment in our partnership; I would relent... But, dearest, I am steadfast. A woman does not so easily admit defeat. ❞

While he half expected a stumble here or there, it would seem Masuyo was adept to learn and quickly follow along without much prompting. Step for step, she followed and he led without a hitch. Sending one of his tentacles to reach for the nearby stereo, it quickly inputted a simple melody to go along with their war of trying to get the other to admit defeat in the most saccharine of ways.

" Quite so, my dearest, but a man might say it would be the best sight to have his last sight be yours. "

It does not go unnoticed how close her hand is, slowly creeping along the lapel of his coat to the juncture of his neck and shoulder. A low hum might've been caught, a thought lingering on what move shall be his next to coerce that stubborn woman to finally yield to him. The warm tone of a chuckle eased past his lips, bemused by her comment.

" Is it now? It's no wonder you seem intent to distract at every turn and tempt me with your wiles. "

A step and he eased her to a twirl, easily bringing her back to his hold to repeat the motions before. The soft tune played a gentle song, adding to the atmosphere.

" I'll give you one more chance to surrender and I'll see to it you are treated with kindness despite your cruelties to me in pestering. "
