Meet D'Angelo Stallworth, the 24 year old father of three gunned down by two 20+year veteran JSO officers in Jacksonville Fl. The officers shot Stallworth multiple times including fatal back shots. Read the officers account here http://m.news4jax.com/news/family-demands-answers-for-victim-in-policeinvolved-shooting/33000084
Here’s the problem: 1) JSO has stated that Stallworth shoved a gun into their officers chest prior to the pursuit. -only Stallworth could barely hold a pen & couldnt open a bottle of juice due to his recently diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis
2) the gun that Stallworth was said to have had in which led the officers to “fear for their lives” wasn’t recovered anywhere near his body proving that at the time of his death he was unarmed
3) the officers say that Stallworth fled down a flight of stairs and then turned to persue them in which they feared for their lives and shot him to death from above -the officers shot Stallworth in his back -at least the fatal back shot came at an upward position making it impossible for Stallworth to have been below the officers on the stairs.
An independent autopsy has been done and factually refutes the story that the police have given.
Please stay awake on this story and spread it so that a proper investigation can be done. And remember that there is no limit on who/where this can happen, we are all Ferguson!

The Weeknd - “The Hills” (Video)
After being unable to feel his face the other day, it’s easy to see why Abel couldn’t as he returns with a new set of visuals and a couple of bumps and bruises to boot. Emerging from an overturned car, things get even more topsy-turvy soon after. I’m sure there’s a sexist “women can’t drive” quip in this video, but since I’m a man of the cloth I’ll refrain from saying anything.

Justice For Sheku Bayoh
Although my dash at times seems to be a neverending heartbreaking list of black deaths, I have not seen anything about the case of 31 year old father-of-two Sheku Bayoh, who lost consciousness and died after being detained by police in Kirkcaldy, Scotland on May 3rd 2015.
There are some extremely worrying issues in this case - the disparities in reports, no knife at the scene, key facts about the course of events not disclosed prior to the first post-mortem, and the problematic choice of wording in the initial police statement (that sounds not too dissimilar from that of Darren Wilson’s in the death of Mike Brown).
Answers and transparency are clearly needed. I know the Black Lives Matter movement is largely focused on the systematic and institutional racism in America but it is easy for those of us abroad to ignore problems closer to home. Not so long ago the murder of Steven Lawrence and the Macpherson Report laid bare the institutional racism of UK policing and we still see racially discriminatory practice such as the stop and search measures.
It has been three weeks since Sheku Bayoh’s death and this case has made very little noise in the UK. I’m assuming the lack of reporting is down to the victim being a black male in a town in Scotland, lack of interest, as well as being buried by stories about the recent general election and royal baby.
I wrote a long post summarising events which unfortunately disappeared into the Tumblr ether but you can find out more about this case in the links below.

As I am entering my last week of this course, I must say that this Website and Usability course have taught me a lot of useful information that can help build my website to a level that attracts consumers daily. Throughout the progression of this course the original objective for the brand has been solidified through the implementation of effective techniques introduced by the weekly readings and discussion. Methods such as ones learned most recently, related to findability and usability testing to ones more intricate in nature such as identifying user tasks and conducting homepage analysis. The course readings’ provide an abundant amount of meaningful content that could be applied professionally and would prove to be quite beneficial. Editor-in-chief of Vandelay Design, Steven Snell, presented an article on the “21 Factors that Influence the First Impression of Your Website’s Visitors”. This list of factors is one I would keep on reserve to ensure that upon their first visit consumers are receiving a lasting first impression that will keep them returning to the site. The article “What’s the Problem?” by Tim Meehan and Norm Carr provided very valuable information on understanding target users needs and potential clients’ vision when visiting a site. This learned information can be used to not only aid in building an effectively functioning website but a brand that fulfills the desires of its consumers. All in this entire course has provided me with the tools to produce a website that is built for success. I will be making changes to my website from here on so that consumers can easily navigate through out the pages, find products and content and check out all in a smooth process.

As I continue to add on towards my Mastery Journal and document my journey towards my Internet Marketing Masters Degree, the Internet Consumer Behavior course definitely taught me a lot. Being an active online shopper, I have always noticed the pop up ads, display ads and the retargeting of sites that was previously visited. At first it was annoying because of seeing the same advertisements over and over even on the sites that had nothing to do with what I was searching. With the concepts learned from this course, it definitely exceeded my expectations as to what I was going to gain. The course taught me how to utilize segmentation to figure how customers make buying decisions; understand my company target market and the demographics related. Also why is analyzing of user-generated content such as blog posts, product reviews, customer recommendations and product feed back are important interactions between the relationship of a company and consumer. The course also showed me how to utilize targeting to reach out to a specific audience that will be beneficial to our company and our sales. With the growth of the internet and the ability to bridge the gap between consumers and companies, optimizing you site to be mobile and using paid ads will help your company to be more notice in searches. Applying these concepts towards my company will allow me to have a better focus on the individuals who are searching our websites. The individuals who actually buy our products and the ones who view our ads that is posted and targeting towards them. This will help build a foundation as to which our consumers are, what specific demographic they belong to and how we can continue to provide great service to them. I really enjoyed this course and look forward to building my company with the knowledge gained.
