hello everybody i forgot this blog exists. been studying and working a lot lately, hence i hardly have any spare time! but i do have some half finished works that i'll try to post one of these days <3 hope everyone's alright!

hello !! i am in desperate need of financial help. i have my phone bill and rent, and my cat's vet appointment is coming up.

i don't want to do this, but my family isn't helping me in any way.

the main thing is that i need to mail a letter to my dpss office to get insurance. no one is helping me pay to have it mailed. even though it is cheap, i have nothing in the bank. i can't wait until i get a check from school because that will come in 1-2 weeks from now.

Bisan is calling for another global strike!

I saw some posts just outlining Jan 21st, and wanted to clarify that Bisan has called for a full seven days of action.

What a global strike would look like is:

calling in sick to work

purchasing bare essentials ahead of the week so you can observe the general boycott of goods / buying as little as you genuinely can

putting in a concerted effort to elevate Palestinian voices and make it clear that this strike is in support of a permanent ceasefire!

For those who will have to purchase necessary goods during this time, please observe the brands that the BDS movement is asking us to boycott!

for those who would like to support Palestinian olive farmers, equal exchange has Palestine-sourced olive oil! they're an amazing worker owned co-op that works closely with local farmers to support sustainability and pay fair wages.

i frankly cannot afford it, but i know some folks can and would like to get some. it comes in packs of 6 bottles, so if you can get 6 friends together, each person can pay for one bottle!

they also have some of the most delicious coffee and hot cocoa mixes that i've ever gotten, and the same approach applies. given how horrific farming and labor practices are in both of those industries, i highly recommend supporting them and getting some amazing products in return if you can afford it.

spent the evening crying bc my moms place of work is getting angry emails & mounting accusations of antisemitism, bc they had a display table highlighting palestinian authors. not a political position against israeli occupation in any way shape or form. just a small table with some of the art & stories from this group of people. what is the point of all this? if zionism inspires this much anger & defensiveness at just the mere mention of the bodies of work of palestinians have created, how can people not see how dangerous & faulty it is? if you won’t even look at the IMAGE, the IDEA of a book written by a palestinian author without feeling personally attacked. i’m so, so heartbroken.
