Lean In
Standing on the edge looking down
Into the abyss of possibility
And uncertainty.
I tremble with fright
And grow weary from the fight
To persist despite it all.
Looking up I see your face
Feelings writhe inside.
But it's like a knotted shoelace
With each attempt to unravel
Making it tighter and tighter
And I'm not the fighter you think I am.
I want to lean in, and see what it might
Be like to do the wrong thing that feels so right
And to know the sweet release,
The only true peace.
But I'm a gentleman.
So I won't lean in to kiss those lips,
I'll tighten my grip, and keep my head down
Staring at the possibilities as I walk along the edge.

Words for Teenagers
"Go home, mow the lawn, wash the windows, learn to cook, build a raft, get a job, visit the sick, study your lessons and after you've finished, read a book. Your town does not owe you recreational facilities and your parents do not owe you fun. The world does not owe you a living, you owe the world something. You owe it your time, energy and talent so that no one will be at war, in sickness and lonely again. In other words grow up, stop being a cry baby, get out of your dream world and develop a backbone not a wishbone. Start behaving like a responsible person. You are important and you are needed. It's too late to sit around and wait for somebody to do something someday. Someday is now and that somebody is you!"

We're just pattern recognition machines, looking to solve and conquer the patterns around us. Boredom is a result of mastery, frustration/confusion is the result of over complexity.

It's called love. And it's not an emotion. It's a willingness. A commitment to put the needs of someone else above your own. No wonder it's impossible to find love. No one knows what it is.

And actually I think the two combined are a one-two punch. The ability to print your own devices and then embed a small mini computer in them has a lot of potential.

Everything happens for a reason.
Sometimes that reason is because you're stupid and make bad decisions...

In every work of genius we recognize our own rejected thoughts: they come back to us with a certain alienated majesty.

If only it were that simple... I believe they call this catholicism.
Its safer to believe in God from a mathematical point of view
If you believe in God and when you die nothing happens. The atheist is right but no one can tell you you’re wrong
If you believe in God and you’re right and die. God’s real and your not screwed over and get your ass kicked down to...

"When I was young
They said I could be anyone.
I set my mind to find
How to be everyone.
With time, from thought
I realize now I'm no one.
I want to find
That special friend, that someone.
Perhaps then all these pieces will become
One."

It's not about matter, just whether yours does.
It's not a virtual reality, It's reality virtualized.
