          he doesn’t mind being the one to carry a conversation   ,   and it’s not something he’s ever struggled with.   it’s just not what he expected from someone who tends to match his ability to back and forth about nothing and everything in equal measures.   ❛     no worries.   we could’ve rescheduled   !   little late now   ,   but i could’ve done breakfast on any other day of the week.     ❜   the nature of peach’s weekend has come up only vaguely and attached to words like weird and crazy without much detail at all.   he doesn’t like to feel pushy   ,   but there’s wiggle room for him to open a door without forcing peach through it.   ❛     do you wanna talk about it   ?   your very weird weekend   ?     ❜

as is his way, felix manages to spark a genuine smile from him, a laugh finding its way to freedom through his nose. “just a little.” he doesn’t regret coming out for lunch or the walk they took the night before or the trip to polaris on friday. how could he? time spent with a guy who feels like he spews sunshine is never wasted--- which is high praise, coming from someone who actually, literally kinda does. and, he’s so... gah. open? bright? so unfailingly supportive that the energy he projects makes you want to wear it like a blanket and never, ever take it off? that drew wants to extend the same. “i do,” he confesses. it’s just. weird. “but, it’s about a guy? who i used to date. so...” he trails off, snatching a piece of bacon from felix’s plate. “i don’t wanna make it weird. being that we’re currently on a date, and all.”
