John A. Linfoot, MD, MS, is a 1957 graduate of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. His postgraduate training includes his internship, residency, and fellowship all at The University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Linfoot completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Dakota and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicine as well as a Master of Science degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. Dr. Linfoot was then recruited to the Donner Laboratory UC Berkeley in 1961. He supervised the endocrine laboratory and patient care of more than 1,000 patients with pituitary tumors, diabetes, and breast cancer who were treated with heavy particle pituitary irradiation at the 184-inch cyclotron, a helium ion radiation accelerator at LBL. Dr. Linfoot attained board certification in internal medicine and endocrinology with the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as in nuclear medicine. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. As a result of his compassionate attitude, patient centric philosophy, and commitment to excellence in all facets of endocrinology and nuclear medicine, John A.
