send in " take it easy. you're safe now, but you need to relax. " for the sender to greet a waking receiver after having found them badly wounded and on the brink of collapse at their doorstep.

alternatively, send in " how long was i out for? " for the sender, having woken up on the receiver's sofa/bed/spare bed, to greet the receiver after showing up on their doorstep earlier with serious injuries and in a weakened state.

               With his youngest grandchild in arms, slowly attempting to sooth him so he could be ready to go down for the night, Spencer offered a short smile to Miles. If this was any other kid, Spencer would go about hyping them up to encourage them to do their best, but Miles? He still needed to have his brain deconstructed and rebuild when it came to that aspect of his life. Kid was going to work himself to death if he didn’t learn that schooling and academics wasn’t the only thing in life that made up his worth.

“And while I can respect your hustle and the effort you’re putting in, I’ve also noticed that you’ve been working down to the bone and you’re in for a brutal crash if you don’t sit back and let yourself relax for a bit, both mentally and physically.” A small moment of silence, a half smile as toddler’s weight was shifted. “Take it from a guy who knows. I’m gonna try and get this guy to bed, then we can work on getting all this sorted, okay?”

               No motion was made to turn his obnoxiously loud metal down, but he did pause looking over one of the tragically simple school supplied magical tomes. “You got a problem there, Thorpe? Or you actually gonna contribute to trying to figure out what this homicidal monster is?” A small pause, a sharp glare. “Or you make your appearance to accuse me?” Which had already been done by several students at Nevermore.

Being an outcast in a school for outcasts really wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

Or anyone like her, for that matter? The nephilim turned her head and watched the humans with longing. “Nothing, really, I suppose. But I don’t do much dancing.” 

               For a moment he had to consider the information presented to him. Was he getting some insight from a first hand perspective that not all was great and glorious under the watchful eye of the Father? A small chuckle pressed past lips, as if he were to have this conversation a few centuries back while he was still human, the outcome of it all would be completely different in many ways. “Then how do you plan on entertaining yourself while you’re here? I’m a busy man and have to make my rounds... when I return, can I at least expect you to have a drink in your hand?”

You two would have a lot to talk about, I reckon.” Dave is in the opposite of Spencer’s position; he was always the baby of the family, but Mark has become more of a father figure to Dave than their own alcoholic father ever was. “Though he’s almost reaching sensible middle age and he could probably be your dad as well.” He laughed, leaning back in the car seat. “I dunno, mate. I love those buffets, because I could just kill four or five plates without even thinking about it. I always leave a big tip because I feel bad for eating so much.”

               “Don’t know that much about sensible middle aged men if we’re being honest. The second he married her, he basically got real whipped real quickly, lost his entire personality and everything that came with it. Though I don’t really get how that’s an excuse to let all responsibility fall into my hands. They’re not my fucking kids.” After realising tangent had gotten a little too serious, he geared the conversation back to the food. “This place has got some pretty killer honey chicken. I can eat that in bulk without any questions.” A small pause to flip the finger of some bitch off for cutting in front of him without warning, him having to stop himself at just that. “Tell me, what’s the traffic like in the land down under?”
