also i forget: is crimson canonically genderfluid or transfem? I mean i think he’s had Gender Moments within the main series but i dont remember if she ever got to present fem for an extended period in canon or in the NCCTs at all

So, I went to Dashcon 2! I was there with @logicalabsurdity (though she isn't in any of my pictures.) I went in extremely recognizeable and not at all niche closet cosplay as Prism from CPU Kerfuffle, with guest appearance from My Grunk (marketable plushie edition) and I've thus far had a blast playing Where's Waldo with my fun hat in other people's pictures and videos.

The place I most consistently appear is at the Homestuck photoshoot, which is also where I took approximately 98% of my pictures. As a fun consequence of where I stood, most of those pictures are haunted by the Looming Spectre. Observe:

yeah. I havent actually gotten to make the tierlist but im for sure having a Transgender Allegory tier (and also a Transgender Allegory and Canon Gender Stuff category as well, which is probably where J0hn and his bf will go). And yeah i absolutely agree with you. He’d listen to Faceshopping by SOPHIE and go “yeah”

Could Transition Have Saved Him?

I might have gone a bit overboard on some of these tiers but I have some very specific thoughts on some characters. Dr. Order is one of those. She’s an allegorical abusive, oppressive mother. She applies and enforces roles on her “children” from birth, and rejects them for not complying with the roles she’s assigned to them. A lot of her character is shaped by her womanhood, even in the jokes the commentators make about her. But the acts that mark her as an obvious cartoon villain aren’t just her cruelty to her “children”, it’s her continuous inept failure to create a successful “child”. She’s a failed mother, and we mock her for it. Rightly so, when it comes to the way she “abuses” her creations, but I also find it interesting that her failure to succeed in her own assigned gendered role is a trait fleshed out for comedy. Not necessarily trans-coding at all, but there’s interesting messaging around gender there, maybe, if you squint. Also, at some point in like 18/19/20, I remember that Jay makes a comment about meeting an alternate-reality version of Dr. Order named Pablo. Um.. so make of that what you will? Anyway she’s an allegorical and literal transphobe (announced Folk’s deadname to a crowd of people live) so she’s in one of the lowest tiers.
