"A bite?" Regulus murmured, hardly looking up from his book, gesturing to the mint-chocolate-chip ice cream James was currently enjoying while spread out on the grounds of Hogwarts.

All eyes turned to the Gryffindor. Sirius, himself, was shocked that Regulus had the nerve to even ask. James was generous to a fault, but he did not share ice cream. He'd almost bitten Sirius's head off in first year when he'd tried to steal a bite out of his bowl at dinner, once.

But even as Remus, Sirius, Peter, Dorcas, Evan, Barty, Pandora, Dorcas, Marlene, and Lily all stared, scared for the fallout, James just willingly passed the green cone over to the other boy, an adoring smile on his face, seemingly oblivious to his audience.

"What the fuck?" Marlene whispered, her back rested against Dorcas's chest and her jaw on the floor.

"Did he just-?" Lily asked quietly, turning to Remus, who was chuckling.

But Sirius just rolled his eyes. "You two are disgusting," he complained, shaking his head to remind Remus to keep playing with his hair.

5. What sports do you play/have you played? does chess count? other than that uhh badminton, i've played whenever i've gotten a chance with friends, and a teeny bit of basketball back in school :)

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people? irl it's the way they talk, probably? voice/accent/wordchoice/etc., plus their expression. online it's their blog vibe + do their morals align with mine or not

7. Scary movies or happy endings? happy endings!!!!!! they're the BEST. (i genuinely cant watch a movie if it has a sad ending- i'll need to prepare myself for it first otherwise i'll be sad for ages)

8. Any special talents? lol no- oh i can shake my ear on command? got that from my dad. yeah i cant think of anything great

9. Where were you born? bangalore! (it's a city in southern india)

10. What are your hobbies? reading, writing sometimes, listening to/analysing music, veeeery rarely trying to compose/write songs, obsessing over fanfic!

11. Do you have any pets? Two pups! they've actually been adults for over six months now but shhhhh

12. All-time fave piece of media? the percy jackson books i think? also 3 idiots (the hindi movie). THE GOOD PLACE!!!!!! i love that show so muchh yeah it takes the cake.

13. Fave subject in school? lol physics (i loved it until eighth, after that it remained the most fun subject for me to study, but goddddd the exams suck.) also computers. (interesting subject + much easier exams)

14. Dream job? running the library that i dreamed up with @shestrying, while maybe doing something artistic in my spare time :)

15. Eye colour? brown!

Hogwarts without James was miserable.

No. That wasn't true. It was..it was fine. But as Regulus exited the thestral-drawn carriage and approached the castle, it hit him over and over that James wasn't there.

"It's one year, baby," James had reassured him before he left, both of them clinging to each other. "I'll be waiting for you the entire time. Kick arse on your NEWTs and come back to me, yeah?"

But as confident as Regulus tried to be in his and James's relationship, every corner of the castle seemed to remind him of his boyfriend- seemed to evoke a feeling of unease and longing. He missed James. And how was he supposed to go so long without him?

The feast passed sluggishly, but he waited until he got to his dorm- now labelled Seventh Years before he opened the present he promised James he would wait to unwrap. He wasn't sure what would make him feel better, but he did it anyways, eager for even a small token of love.

So he was a bit let down and shocked to see a mirror in the wrapping. "What the-?" he stared to ask, before he realized it wasn't his reflection in the glass, but James's. "Jamie?" he asked, emotion flooding through him at once.

"You didn't think I'd wait a whole four months to see your beautiful face, love?" James grinned back at him through the mirror, his entire face alight. "I begged Sirius to let you borrow this for the year. He agreed as long as we didn't use it for anything unsavory."

Choking with laughter on unshed tears, Regulus murmured, "What Sirius doesn't know won't hurt him."

He fell asleep with the mirror by his pillow.

Hi guys!

So I have been hit with a bit of the sads today and I’m trying to convince myself that it’s okay to like…ask for help and reassurance 😅 and I think I need some right now. There’s some things I’ve been putting off working on for a while that I need to do and I could use your encouragement! So..

50 notes and I’ll clean up around my house

100 notes and I’ll work on some job applications to find a less toxic school that accepts my identity

500 notes and I’ll talk to a friend about some issues we’ve been having that I’ve been avoiding

1000 notes and I’ll make a goal to drink at least 4 glasses of water a day because I’m chronically dehydrated lol

2000 notes and I’ll make a goal to be active five times a week (right now it’s three and I really need to do more)

3000 notes and I’ll actually listen to my doctor about how to treat my new health condition instead of just ignoring it until my next appointment (don’t do what I do, kids!)

4000 notes and I’ll force myself to write nice things about myself and I’ll post them here.

5000 notes and I’ll question all of your sanity for being so dedicated and I’ll…idk I’ll do whatever you guys want to take care of myself. I’ll take your suggestions I guess. As long as it’s not expensive. And I’ll post proof on here.

the next day, everywhere you look, students are wearing skirts. there are even a handful of slytherins joining in.

lily has rolled her skirt up, and raises a perfect eyebrow when the teacher hesitates.

marlene has squeezed into one of mary's skirts, and has made tees with "screw sexism" pasted onto the front.

james and sirius strut down the corridors, skirts hiked up higher than mary had ever dared, flashing hairy legs and muscular thighs.

peter follows them, chin raised high in defiance.

even remus agreed, in the name of equal rights. he wears one of marlene's tees, shooting glares at anyone who even thinks about cat-calling the girls.

from then, mary never got another detention... for the length of her skirt, anyway.

Okay I’ve seen a few people do this:

• 50 notes: I’ll prioritise hygiene and cleaning.
